When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. No matter how dirty the landscape, a covering of fresh snow always makes the ugly beautiful. That is how God handles sin. Many people carry a paralyzing burden of guilt for past sins. What is worse, they see no way out of their predicaments. These people do not run in the race of life, they plod at best. Beset by the crushing load of self-blame, they face each new day with yesterday's emotional baggage. Today: you will hear God's way out of bearing guilt for the rest of your life.

Some Christians never commit those really big sins. They just harbor resentment in their hearts when others are forgiven. The story of the prodigal son is also the story of the unforgiving brother. Most of us are one or the other, and all of us are in need of God's grace: His unmerited favor. Today: coming home after being in the far country, and, coming home after having never left.

When we sin greatly, many of us flee from God, thinking there is no way we can ever get back into the Father's good graces. We run our races of life on tough terrain, finding out that sin takes us where we really do not want to go. When we get weary enough, some of us make the crucial choice to return to the Father, no matter what. Today: the journey home begins.

What do you do when your secret life is a secret no longer? What do you do when your well-managed cover story is shattered? As we run the race of life, let us not forget that every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. Repairing the damage of sin means re-establishing contact with God, and rebuilding relationships with those we have hurt. There is a way to come home.

Most people go about their everyday lives with no regard for the eternity they will face as either sheep or goats. When Jesus spoke of coming judgment in Matthew chapter 25, He made it clear that there are only two destinies for any of us. Today: some concluding thoughts about the future, and why today is the day to believe on the Christ who can save us from its terrors.

Jesus once spoke of a coming judgment of the nations, a judgment that is designed to separate the sheep from the goats. It is found in Matthew chapter 25, and this judgment is based on how well the hungry and needy were treated while on earth. Today: we will try to understand what this prediction means in the light of the rest of the New Testament.

On our plane of existence things sure are a mess...terrorism, wars, nuclear threats, the Middle East in turmoil. Aren't you glad there is Someone in charge who lives on another plane of existence? God has not left the nations to their own devices. An Unseen Hand is guiding the forces of history toward His conclusion. And, through Bible prophecy, we can understand the last chapter of the story.

An Alabama courthouse...a granite monument engraved with the Ten Commandments...and a judge who believed they should stay there. The struggle over the public viewing of God's law to man led to Chief Justice Roy Moore being ousted from office: evidence that God is being systematically excluded from public life.
