God made it clear that all of us need to observe a day of rest. The concept is so important that He made it into one of the Ten Commandments. But now, Sunday is just another day to shop, work, or be on the move: not a day for reflection, meditation and prayer. What does the Sabbath have to do with us?

A century ago, British Olympian Eric Liddell shocked the world by refusing to run on Sunday. Eric was made famous in the movie “Chariots of Fire,” holding fast to his conviction that the Lord’s Day was sacred, and not to be used for sport.
