Jesus, The Gift Of Light, Part 1 of 2 (Gifts Jesus Brought To Us)

December 23, 2020

With joyful carols filling the air, the Christmas season is upon us. Economy experts say the season is pivotal for retailers, and during this time of year many get caught up in the materialistic desires of our culture. It’s sad that so much darkness is around us, but that’s why we look to Jesus as our source of light.

When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. The world neither understood nor welcomed the arrival of Jesus. The things He said caused bickering and strife among those opposed to changing their ways. In this message, we look at an amazing revelation given to His mother Mary.

Jesus did not appear on earth without advance notice. Many Old Testament prophecies foretold his arrival. In the New Testament, we find an amazing prophecy given just before His birth through a man named Zechariah.

Over two thousand years ago Jesus was born in a small country in the Middle East. That birth became the turning point between BC and AD. But another child was born first, a forerunner of Jesus, whose name was John.

The words of Jesus penetrate us to our very core. In this message, we’ll hear Him speak on our motivations, as recorded in Matthew chapter six. If you want to run life’s race ablaze with light, you need the piercing words of Christ.

Good deeds can be seen, but motivations can’t. Why we do what we do is a key focus of Christ’s teaching in Matthew six. Here we experience radical surgery as our motives are dissected. In this message, we go to the clinic to get Christ’s diagnosis.
