February 20, 2018

Living With Your Passions
In a hyper-sexualized culture, sex is either reduced to pleasure-seeking or conflated with our identity. But God designed us as sexual beings for emotional and spiritual intimacy whose highest calling is to worship Him. In this revised edition, Pastor Erwin Lutzer draws on forty years of ministry experience to present a rationale for sexual purity. He gives an honest answer to the sexual pressures we face like extramarital relationships, self-gratification, same-sex attraction, and more. As desire-driven creatures, we don't have to pursue happiness at the expense of character. With our identity grounded in Christ, we can live victoriously with our passions. In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus showed us how to pray, and there is depth and breadth of meaning latent in these sacred words. These beautiful lines train us in the way we should approach God with our petitions.
February 7, 2018
Some Christians wonder if God listens when they pray. Jesus taught that the Father listens and even knows what we need before we ask. But this raises the question: why should we pray at all?
