When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. In ancient times, Kings had almost absolute power. A person’s life or death was in a king’s hand.  In our day, presidents and congresses come and go. In this message we look forward to a time of a real king, and a real rule: Jesus on this earth.

Kings have a total claim on people’s lives, time, and taxes. We’re not used to that type of authority these days. Many see kings as relics of a bygone era. But in this message we’ll see why Christ is the long foretold King of Kings, and what that title means.

There are only a few weeks to go. Christmas morning will mark the end of the annual race to the finish line. Why not pause and consider the position God the Father has given Jesus His Son, the one for whom the holiday is named?

Like a diamond, the purity of Jesus radiates in many facets as we behold His glory. Isaiah gave us names describing these characteristics in the ninth chapter of his prophecy. In this message we look at the names ascribed to Christ, and what they mean.

At the mall we’re assailed by lights, trees, tinsel, ornaments, and all sorts of holiday cheer. What you won’t find there is much reference to the Christ whose coming is the reason for the season. In this message we hope to rectify that imbalance.

For believers on the racetrack of life, there is no guarantee of an easy path. A life of servanthood is what lies before us, a life like the one Jesus lived. Paul clearly connects servanthood and ministry. Are you ready to embrace the Disciplines That Grow Godliness?

Most sports take a significant physical toll on those who strive for victory. It’s only through some hard knocks that we learn to help others face their own difficulties. Paul encouraged believers to endure hardship, advice we all need to hear in this age of self-gratification.

Being a servant goes against our selfish grain. Everybody likes being served, as long as they don’t have to serve others. But in God’s eyes, it is the servants who win in the race of life. We need a paradigm shift. In this message we explore “The Discipline of Servanthood.”

Sometimes we find ourselves in spiritual warfare, and only through fasting can victories be won. We see this in the life of Jesus, as he abstained from food for 40 days. In this message, we learn why fasting can help open the door to a deep work of God in your life.

Some of the tough laps in life’s race require the spiritual discipline of fasting. We see this in the life of Jesus, as he fasted for 40 days in the wilderness. In obedience to His Father, Jesus went without food and overcame all temptations. Could fasting be what you need as well?
