Real miracles include raising the dead, and feeding the five thousand...the kind of miracles Jesus did to prove He came from God. Today: more about the amazing life of Christ, a man whose claims were validated by His miracles.

In this revised edition, Pastor Erwin Lutzer draws on forty years of ministry experience to present a rationale for sexual purity. He gives an honest answer to the sexual pressures we face like extramarital relationships, self-gratification, same-sex attraction, and more. We all cheer when an athlete suffers a serious injury, and later, gets back in the game. That's called a "miracle comeback." But for real miracles, we need to look to Jesus Christ, who demonstrated authority over nature itself in the amazing deeds He performed. Today: why miracles were the evidence that Jesus was, and is, the Son of God.

He never wrote a book, never owned a home, He never traveled extensively. Still today, He's the centerpiece of the human race. Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and died a perfect sacrifice. Not even His enemies could point to a single character flaw. He is worthy of our absolute obedience, since He is the only mediator between God and humanity.

An Olympic track judge has to be above reproach. Otherwise, no one would trust him to adjudicate a gold medal race. In matters of faith, a Savior has to be sinless to be a sacrifice for our sins. Christ was sinless, something no other prophet or guru has ever claimed. Since sinful men and women bear sinful children, Christ's birth had to be different.

There are many things that set Christ apart from all others who claim to point the way to God. His supernatural birth is one. Jesus was fully human, but had no earthly father. Born to a young Jewish maiden who had never known a man, His beginnings on earth were indeed extraordinary. So: just how important is the virgin birth?

Everyone likes a story of rags-to-riches. But for Jesus, taking on human flesh means His story is riches to rags. The Son of God's arrival in Bethlehem fulfilled countless prophecies and drew the attention of legions of angels. There's a good reason why our calendars pivot from BC to AD at the time of His birth. For the details, stay with us.

You can't take home Olympic gold without conforming to the rules of the race. Only one route leads to the finish line. And you can't get to heaven by picking out your own religion as you might pick out a new coat. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me." If this sounds intolerant to you, please stay with us.

When Rick Warren was announced as one praying at President Obama's inauguration, an immediate and shrill cry arose. "What if he invokes the name of Jesus?" That was the great fear among the enlightened media. These days, God is OK...maybe. But Jesus? No, He's off-limits for public events. The one who said He was the truth still divides humanity right down the middle.

Tell an Olympic runner that "it doesn't matter which track you race on, all are equally good," and he'll think you came from Mars. He knows the winner only gets the gold medal at the track that counts. It's the same with God. There's only one way to reach Him, and that's through His son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If this sounds too exclusive for you, please stay with us.

Job learned a great lesson in his unspeakable time of suffering. And to be able to face the unknowns of life, so must we. Victorious runners in life's race know that they are clay in the Potter's hands. And the Potter can do whatever He wishes with His clay. Can you accept this bottom-line reality? And what's more, can you embrace it? Today: the end of a life-changing series.

Behind the seeming randomness of the calamities that befall us lies the purpose of God. Only heaven may reveal that. It all comes down to this: as we run the race of life, we must learn to trust the God Whose purposes we can't understand. That's the lesson of the book of Job. Stay with us as we near the end of a long series seeking the answers to the great "why" questions of life.
