The only way God could possibly associate with sinful humans and retain His integrity and holiness was to have a plan of salvation that could be achieved without human involvement. This plan required a perfect, sinless sacrifice: Jesus Christ. God the Son sacrificed Himself to God the Father in order to bridge the infinite gap between unrighteous man and a holy God.

Genuine authority flows from within, no matter who you are. Jesus Christ had a unique authority, an authority still felt today, two thousand years since He walked on Earth. How does He still command such devotion?

Jesus Christ is the final and most complete revelation from God. Period. He claimed exclusivity: that He was the only way to God, which is understandable because He is God.

When you size up any group of people, it’s usually pretty easy to tell who’s in charge—there’s something intangible about real leaders that make them recognizable as leaders. In all of history, no one has ever projected authority like Jesus did. People were either drawn to Him, or they wanted to kill Him. For anyone confronting the real Jesus, there was, and still is, no middle ground.

All of us will have an eternal home. And our relationship with Christ, whether we accept Him or not, will determine where those future ages will be spent. He made claims no other man has ever made—and backed them up with incontrovertible miracles.

Not all miracles are of God. Satan too can perform miracles. Real miracles include raising the dead, and calming a storm, feeding thousands with just a couple of fish and some bread—the kind of miracles Jesus did to validate that He was not only fully human, He was also fully God.

Jesus made fantastic claims while He was on Earth. So in order to back His claims, He had to do miracles. No matter how much you research the “historical” Jesus—trying to make Him a mere man—you still end up staring at a miraculous Christ.

Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and died a perfect sacrifice. Not even His enemies could point to a single character flaw. He is worthy of our absolute obedience because He is the only mediator between God and humanity.
September 10, 2013
A true Savior has to be sinless if He’s to be a sacrifice for our sins. Christ was sinless, something no other prophet or guru has ever claimed. And since sinful men and women bear sinful children, Christ’s birth had to be different.
September 9, 2013
There are many things that set Christ apart from all others who claim to point the way to God. But why was it necessary for Jesus to be sinless—to be born of a virgin? Find out more in today’s message.
