A Fruitful Heart, Part 1 of 2 (When Jesus Has Your Heart)

August 16, 2019

As we run the race of life, Jesus wants us to know where enduring power comes from. His disciples were common people of the land, and they understood a word picture about fruit. In this message we learn a lesson on fruitbearing from a vine and its branches.

We need help to run the race of life and carry out the ministry God has for us. Our task requires spiritual power, and that power comes from the Holy Spirit who was promised to all who believe in Jesus. As a Christian, you need never feel alone.

Believers in Christ can be sure that heaven is a real place because of the biblical testimony. That reality is a great antidote for the crushing weight of anxiety we sometimes feel. Are you weighed down by fear? Remember the words of Jesus: a place is being prepared.

Anxiety can slow us all down in the race of life. But anxiety is something Jesus said we can leave by the side of the road. Are you fearful about the future? If you’re beset by anxiety, join us for some words of great hope.

It’s good to pause the race of life long enough to examine our heart and find out what really motivates us. Judas shows us how far away we can fall from Christ, even though, to all observers, we seem to be children of God.
