The Father We Worship, Part 2 of 2 (What We Believe)

May 22, 2014

When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Some wonder what good it is to have faith in God when He never seems to answer their prayers.  Many lose what faith they had and give up on God altogether. In this message Pastor Lutzer looks at the heroes of faith who believed God no matter what.

When our faith in God is genuine, it causes us to make choices in God’s favor. We willingly take the risk of alienating those around us when we choose God’s way over that of the world. That is what Moses did, as we read in Hebrews 11.

Some people claim they have faith, yet their lives show little evidence of it. Those with true faith are willing to take risks to live out that faith. In this message, Pastor Lutzer focuses on this authentic kind of faith, the kind that will survive when times of testing come.
