The Cosmic Conflict, Part 1 of 2 (The Invisible War)

July 14, 2016

Terror attacks occur regularly across the globe. War, it seems, is never far away. But there’s also a greater war, a cosmic conflict of the ages, being fought by Satan and his minions against the plans and purposes of God. Let’s lift the veil on “The Invisible War.”

When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. One thing kids learn really quickly is how to get even. Seeking revenge is a natural reaction when we’re offended. But the Bible commands us to not seek revenge. Let’s rise above our instincts and allow God to be the one who makes things right!

Resolving conflicts with others can be as painful as it is necessary. We must extend forgiveness when every emotion tells us to “get even.” Let’s listen to some more practical counsel on reconciliation, making things right with God and others.

Most people look forward to getting together with friends and relatives. But many dread these times because it means facing those who’ve hurt us, or worse, those we’ve hurt. How can we put damaged relationships back on track?

Ever hurt someone you care about? Handling the ongoing pain we cause when we sin is a daunting but necessary task. How should we seek forgiveness from those we’ve hurt? Can we expect to see God bring new hope out of our bad situations?

You can’t avoid gravity, and you can’t change the speed of light. Neither can you buck the system that says “what you reap, you sow.” God uses this principle to teach His children to not sin. Sometimes though, the lessons are hard.

Often we get tripped up in the race of life by returning to the detours of past behavior. For some, it seems there is no way to break out of a cycle of sin, forgiveness, restoration, and back to sin again.  Is there hope for those who are stuck in such a ruthless pattern?
July 6, 2016
After great spiritual failures we say with King David, “My sin is ever before me.” So how can it not be before God? The answer lies in the concept of “covering.” There is hope for all who fear their sins on earth will never be forgotten in heaven.

Many who struggle with guilt find it returns to haunt them even after they’ve sought forgiveness from God. The good news is that God helps us deal with sin’s consequences, since we are clean in His sight through Christ.

Maybe you’ve stolen money, had an affair, or even gotten away with a serious felony.  Life is closing in on you, and you have no peace and no future hope. Do you want the key to freedom from guilt? There is forgiveness which comes from God as a gift.
July 1, 2016
Many people carry a paralyzing burden of guilt for past sins. Beset by a crushing load of self-blame, they face each new day with yesterday’s emotional baggage. God provides hope and a way out for those bearing guilt. It doesn’t have to be with you for a lifetime.
