The Church of God in Service Part 45
Dr. Abel Damina: Father, we give You praise. Lift up those hands and give Him praise and glory for His word finding a free course all over the nations. Thank You, Father, in the name of Jesus. Father, we rejoice that we have this another opportunity to learn, to grow, and to be equipped in the knowledge that is in Christ Jesus. Revelation knowledge is available to us, and we thank You that the eyes of our understanding will be flooded with light as the word is taught.
There is no error in this environment. There is no limit in this atmosphere. Your word has free course in the nations of the earth and is glorified all over the world as it is with us. We rejoice that by the end of this service, we will all be the better for it. So, we honor and bless the name of Jesus. We thank You, Father, that no one leaves here the same way they came. In Jesus' name, we pray.
I am born of God. I am born of the word. The word of God is my nature. I do not struggle to do the word. I do the word naturally. Therefore, today, I will understand the word of His grace. I will be built up. By the end of this service, I will never be the same. Never, ever be the same again in Jesus' name. Amen.
Are we excited to love, to worship, and to honor the word? Can we celebrate our fellowship with a shout? Amen. I would like you to walk around to three or four people, shake somebody, and tell them, "You will be blessed because I came." Greet somebody, love somebody, fellowship with somebody. Glory to God. Bless the name of Jesus. Glory to the Lamb of God. Hallelujah.
All right, grab your pen, your notebook, and your Bible. You can be seated. Are you ready for the word of God? Today we are looking at "Understanding Satan: Myth and the Truth." It is important to notice how the Bible describes the devil. The devil in scripture is called a deceiver.
Look at Second Corinthians chapter 2 verse 11: "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices." Take note of the word "devices." All Satan has is devices. We are not ignorant of his devices. It did not say we are not ignorant of his power. It says we are not ignorant of his devices. So, all Satan has is devices, and if we are ignorant of those devices, Satan will take advantage of us. But if we are knowledgeable of those devices, we will continue to experience victory over Satan and his network of demons.
One thing about Satan is that he is an active deceiver. He is not just a deceiver; he is an active deceiver. That is why we are learning this, so that we can unveil certain mysteries about Satan because Satan is a deceiver. In Second Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4, he is called the god of this world, in whom the god of this world had blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
In First Corinthians chapter 2 verse 6, he is called the prince of this world: "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect, yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought." In Ephesians chapter 2 verse 2, he is called the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. That word "air" there is "pneuma," which means spirit. He is the prince of the power of the spirit. He further says "the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience."
That means he has a level of influence in the world. In fact, he has a level of influence in the lives of many people. These people give us the information that we know today about Satan. The people that Satan influences are the ones giving information to many people in the world, including church people, about who Satan is. Like when you watch alien movies, that information comes to us on a regular basis. When you watch science fiction movies where they show aliens coming from another planet, you see their modus operandi.
They create an illusion; they give you a narrative that Satan inspires, making you think that is how he operates. He is distracting you, gaslighting you, and keeping your attention away from the real deal. People act in movies, like in Nigeria they used to act in something they called "Ayamatanga," and other things that, when you look at them in the body of scripture, do not have a corroboration with the truth of the gospel. Satan wants to flood your mind with misinformation so you can be deformed in your mindset.
To make matters worse, even in Christian gatherings, Satan is exalted. He feeds believers certain information about himself, and people have certain beliefs about Satan because, most of the time, Satan is the origin of that information. I told you last week the Bible calls Satan darkness. Of course, the unbeliever is also called darkness because the devil is his father. Most importantly, the devil is a deceiver, and he represents darkness, which is ignorance.
Because he is a deceiver, he makes people ignorant of who he really is. He deceives people by misinformation to make you never know who he is. He takes the attention away from him to something that looks like him so that you are busy with the wrong thing. Remember, wrong information will produce wrong thinking. Wrong thinking will produce wrong believing. Wrong believing will produce wrong speaking, and wrong speaking will produce wrong actions.
Information develops into thoughts, thought develops into your thinking pattern, which produces your speech, which influences your actions, which results in the quality of your life. Wrong information will produce wrong thinking, and then you start thinking wrong things. The devil influences a lot of information on television, even from preachers. That is why in Galatians chapter 3, Paul said to that church, "O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you?" The only person that could have bewitched those Galatians would be the pastor that was standing over them.
Some things you hear preached on TV, radio, or social media are misinformation, even though they are coming from the mouth of a preacher. The worst matter is when the preacher is a long-standing, well-respected preacher. The undiscerning swallow it hook, line, and sinker, and it deforms their mindset and affects, in turn, the quality of their relationship with God Almighty. One thing we know about the devil is that he is a deceiver.
Jesus said in John chapter 8 verse 44: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it." This is not being abusive of the devil, but descriptive of the devil. Lying for the devil is natural. Every information he has dispersed originates from him and has its root in lies.
Those movies that communicate condemnation, you know those Christian movies? They communicate condemnation, and they communicate the failure of believers. They are all orchestrated by the devil. They will show where a man of God fell into sin and how bad his life became. Those kinds of story lines are from the devil, even though they are supposed to be Christian movies. They show how somebody tried to serve God and at the end he fell off. Or how somebody was a faithful brother, and then by mistake he committed fornication and he lost his salvation.
They create those narratives under the inspiration of the devil to bring misinformation and vividly control your imagination because pictures are persuasive in advertising. When you read the Bible, you will see things like Hebrews 11:3: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." That is, every age was formed and fashioned by the word of God. Then we began to read of people like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Moses.
None of those folks were perfect. From Abel to Moses, none was perfect. Noah got drunk and was misbehaving. They were all folks who were not perfect. That is why he says "looking unto Jesus," not unto those characters. Look away from those characters unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith. He is the author and finisher of faith, and He is perfect. So, looking unto Jesus, even though He uses those characters, those characters in no way are the standard. Jesus is the standard. Look away from them unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith.
Don't look up to Abraham or Noah. Don't look unto Abel or Enoch. Look unto Jesus. Why? Because the best of men that God uses is still frail. The best of men that God uses is still subject to mistakes and subject to error. But Jesus has no errors and no mistakes. He is the perfect model, and our eyes are supposed to be set on Him. The interesting part of the account in the book of Hebrews is that if you read, it is only their exploits that are recorded. Their mistakes and failures are not recorded.
By faith, Abel did this. By faith, Noah did this. By faith, Enoch did this. By faith, Abraham did this. By faith, Rahab, Samson. No errors, no mistakes, just the exploits of their faith. If you observe very well, none of their imperfection was recorded. The Bible tells us we have a great cloud of witnesses. So, if you are writing a book or movie about Christians, let it be a story of exploits. Let it be a story of winning. Let it be a story of triumph. Because in Christ Jesus, we win always.
The devil pushes such misinformation or such information of failure to us, and then we believe it, we think it, and we start acting like it. But I am what the word says I am. I have what the word says I have. I can do what the word says I can do. I win always. There is certain information he has pushed out himself, and we are going to discover from the scripture that that information was all a lie. Interestingly, even in the Bible, he made people write things that were not true.
He made people say things that were not true. Remember, he is the diabolic deceiver, "diabolos." He uses all kinds of trickery and manipulation to deceive. Every believer must understand the devil. In John chapter 9, Jesus was asked who sinned, the boy or his parents? And Jesus said none of them sinned. Look at the problem and look at their thinking. Nobody knew what the problem was, but they believed that someone had to sin for somebody to be born blind.
That was the belief system. For this to happen, somebody has sinned. For this to be like this, there is a sinner in this family. That is their belief system. "Oh, I know why you have been applying for a job and you have not gotten employed; you are living in sin." "Oh, I know why you have not gotten a man to marry; you aborted many children, and the blood of those children you aborted is crying for justice." "I know why your life is up and down; you used to steal from your company money when you were working in that office, so you can never have a successful life."
They come up with all kinds of things to trap your leg and give you a reason never to believe, a reason to always be in condemnation and guilt. The devil is a master. He is called a diabolic deceiver. Look at that kind of thinking, or a generational problem, or they call it a generational curse. We have debunked all of that. It was something that was believed by some people among them. The fact that someone doesn't believe something doesn't make it a lie. The age of a lie doesn't make it a truth. A lie can stay for a very long time, but not all the times.
Do you know how long white people believed that black people came from apes? They believed that black people came from apes. I was listening to a well-respected preacher this week. I just stumbled on his video and was listening to it, somebody I really like, and he said the devil is black. That's racism. He said the devil is black, ebony black and beautiful. An oxymoron. He says the devil is black. Imagine. So the devil is one of us.
All of those kinds of thought patterns are inspired by the devil to deceive. He is the master deceiver. A woman of God from America came to Africa, went back to America, and lied. She said all of us are still living on top of trees. I'm not joking. She said Africa is still too backward, that there are no houses, and that we are living on top of trees. She used that to raise money. These prosperity monsters. She said all of us are living on trees.
Look at how beautiful this tree is. Can't you see how beautiful this tree that we are living on is? What a tree! With branches to carry all of us, open skies, and air conditioning from heaven. She told it to her church. A member of the church told me this. She used it to raise money. Misinformation. Some people believed it for many years. So, the devil works with those kinds of things: deception, strong deception.
There are people who believe that Jesus was a white man. So, that means in the plan of God, black people are not represented. If Jesus is a white man, then they started looking out to create a black Jesus. In the kingdom of God, there is no white or black. If you cut beyond our skin, all of us have red blood. No inferior, no superior. We are made of one blood. But Satan will use all of those narratives.
We began to look at God's character and we said a lot of people blame God for what God doesn't do. Because there are things God cannot do. I didn't say there are things God will not do. I said God cannot, even if He wants to, He cannot. Just like you cannot fly, no matter how much you want to fly. We saw last week that God is absolutely good, always good, totally good. Note that God is not just good, but always good.
The Bible says God is not a man that He should lie. Malachi chapter 3 verse 6 says God doesn't change. He cannot change, even if He wants to change. He cannot. "I am the Lord, I change not." He does not change. The Bible tells us in Titus chapter 1 verse 2: "God that cannot lie, which God that cannot lie promised before the world began." So God cannot lie, even if He wants to lie, He cannot. God lacks the wherewithal to lie.
There are things that God cannot do. I didn't say God would not do. He cannot, even if He wants to. It's not in His constitution. It cannot be found in Him. The Bible says there is no unfaithfulness in Him. The Bible tells us that there is no shadow of turning with Him. James chapter 1 verse 13 says: "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God, for God cannot be tempted. God cannot. God cannot be tempted. God cannot. Not that He will not, He cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man."
Next verse: "But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed." Next verse: "And when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin, and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." God doesn't tempt with evil because He Himself cannot be tempted with evil. God cannot be tempted. James 1:16 and 17: "Do not err, my beloved brethren. Do not be led astray." The word is "planao." Do not be led astray, and the way that leading astray will come is through teaching and misinformation.
"Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." Do not err means many people err on this fact. When you begin to think it's God doing it for you, sometimes you fight the wrong battle because you don't know who the enemy is. You believe the wrong thing because you don't know what the right thing is.
It's like someone says God gave him cancer, then he goes to the doctor to stop what God is doing. God gave him cancer, then he goes to the doctor to stop what God is doing. God cannot do evil. He cannot. He doesn't have the ability to make it good. He doesn't have the wherewithal to bring it to pass. When you say, "God, kill my enemies," He doesn't have the ability to kill your enemies. You heard me right. God doesn't have the ability to kill your enemies.
It's like somebody says, "In the name of Jesus, die." The name of Jesus does not have the ability to die somebody because the name Jesus is Savior. Savior cannot kill. Savior only saves. So, James says don't say God is kind. Don't say God is tempting me. Don't say God gave me sickness to teach me a lesson. Do not say these words. Don't err, my beloved brethren. Do not say such things. We learned last week that God is faithful, God is true, and God is always kind.
God doesn't have the ability to make good evil, or He doesn't have the ability to make evil to come to pass. What about, "Well, God doesn't do it, but God allowed it"? That is worse than doing it. We're going to examine that next Sunday. God doesn't have the ability to make it happen, but God can use and allow it to happen. Over the ages and even now, people attribute to the devil what God does and attribute to God what the devil does.
In the book of Job, look at what Job said. The Bible says, "say not." There are things you are not permitted to say. "Let no man say." But look at what Job said. Job 1:20: "Then Job arose and rent his mantle." When you hear mantle, it is cloth. "And shaved his head." That looks like a spiritual exercise. He arose, tore his shirt, shaved his head like a spiritual action, and fell upon the ground and worshiped. Wonderful spiritual activities.
Then he worshiped and said in the next verse: "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither. The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Wonderful. What did the Lord take away? We'll look at the next verse before we examine this. "In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." Are you sure? Because that is already a charge.
Next verse: "Again, there was a day." All right, so that's a continuation. So what did God take away? Number one, Job is saying God took away his wealth. God took away his children. That's what Job is saying. But earlier in that chapter, we saw what happened. Satan was the one who took away. Look at verse 12 of that Job chapter 1: "And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord."
So, the one who did the wreckage was Satan, but Job said God did it. So Job didn't tell the truth, but it is recorded in the Bible, and people still use that narrative today. Next week we will see what really happened in the case of Job. Did God allow it? We shall see that next Sunday. What really happened? We shall see that next Sunday. How did it happen? We shall see that next Sunday. You will discover that Job consistently said it. He kept saying it.
As sincere as Job was in his statement, sincerity is not good enough. He was honest in what he knew, but that's not what happened. Wrong thinking will produce wrong believing. Wrong believing will produce wrong speaking. Wrong speaking will produce wrong actions, and wrong actions will produce wrong experiences. When you see believers die young, check what they believed and what they had been saying. When you see believers die young, check what they had been saying and what they have believed.
There are certain things you must do a check because the word of God has never changed. So, in Job's case, we have seen an idea of what the devil has done. He has blinded his mind with certain information. When the Bible says the devil blinds the minds of those who do not believe, it is the fact that he gives them certain information which makes it difficult for them to believe the gospel. He gives them certain information that blocks them from believing the gospel.
The devil is good with that kind of game. So here was a wrong information packaged well for Job to believe, and Job believed it. But when we study the book of Job very well and what God said at the end of the book, we will discover that all that Job was operating on was wrong information; it was misinformation. That's why from Job chapter 3 to Job 32, you must be careful with certain things that are said there. You must be very careful before you believe them because they were spoken by some foolish speakers.
Foolish speakers said things like, "Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established." And people have taken it and they are using it today. Was it God who said it? No. It was one of Job's friends whom God called foolish who said, "You shall decree a thing and it shall be established." It came out of the mouth of a foolish man that God Himself recognized to be foolish. Now, that information was wrong, but Job believed it.
The Bible says Job was a perfect man. The word "perfect" in the book of Job is for the word "innocent." It doesn't mean perfect as in today's English perfect, but innocent. Job was only innocent, but he was ignorant. And you know, innocent people suffer a lot. Innocent people suffer a lot. In life, don't be innocent. Be only innocent of evil, but out of evil, don't be innocent because innocent people suffer. It's the way life is.
Bible says in evil be innocent, but in understanding be men. So certain information we get from Job is due to lack of understanding of God's nature. It will take knowing God's nature to see what the devil does. If you cannot see who God is perfectly, you can never know who the devil is or what the devil does. And remember, Job was not alone in these assumptions. Old Testament people, many of them thought like Job. Like an Isaiah, a major prophet like Isaiah.
Isaiah 45 verse 5: "I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me. I girded thee, though thou hast not known me." Next verse: "That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else." Next verse: "I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I the Lord do all these things." That's Isaiah in confusion.
That's why they were called the mouth of God, the prophets. But then don't forget, they spoke to the limit of what they knew. All of them spoke to the limit of what they knew. They spoke to the limit of what they understood. If you read the Bible from Genesis to Malachi, you will see that Satan was never discovered. From Genesis to Malachi, none of them knew Satan. All of them, from Genesis to Malachi.
In fact, the very first time Moses will talk about Satan in the Bible, he didn't call him Satan; he called him the serpent. Nobody called Satan "Satan" in the entire Old Testament. Why? Because they didn't know Satan. Satan was always operating covertly. He was hiding like a masquerade, using things to cover himself so you never know who is behind it. It's easy to understand why Moses called him a serpent as you look through the epistles. You see how the epistles said "the serpent, which is the devil."
So there was little information about Satan. So that's why Isaiah will say, "I form light, I create darkness, I do good, I do evil, I the Lord do all these things." But the Bible tells us that God is not the author of confusion. The Bible tells us that in Him there is no darkness at all. But you will only find that clarity in the epistles. In the Old Testament, there's little information they had. Isaiah said God makes good and God makes evil.
Then look at Brother Amos. Amos chapter 3 verse 4: "Will a lion roar in the forest when he hath no prey? Will a young lion cry out of his den if he have taken nothing? Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth where no gin is for him? Shall one take up a snare from the earth and have taken nothing at all? Shall a trumpet be blown in the city and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city and the Lord hath not done it?"
This is from Prophet Amos. Can any evil happen in a city and the Lord has not done it? Doesn't it sound like Isaiah? They all sound alike. Can you see how they were thinking? Is there any evil in the city and God has not done it? So God is behind every evil in their own belief system. And that's what they said, and it's written in black and white in the Bible. So here we see that wrong impression painted by the prophets, even by Job.
They thought God did all the evil, and Satan was hiding himself and wreaking all manner of evil and allowing the people to be blaming God for what Satan was doing. If you don't know God, you will blame Him for what Satan is doing, and you will credit Satan for what God is doing. Then God sent the angel of death. Many people believe that it was God who sent the angel of death. But the angel of death was not sent by God because death is the enemy of God.
God's enemy is death. But when you read the Old Testament, you would think it is God who sent that angel of death. Next week we'll go into all these details. Now, that information on God, was it believed in the Old Testament, that He did evil and good? Was it believed in the Old Testament that no evil can happen until God allowed it? Is it still believed in many churches today? Is it still believed by many Christians today?
And you can never rise above what you believe, and what you believe must happen to you. It must happen. And when it happens, now you combine a false belief system with an experience; nobody can deny you that. "Ah, how can you say it's not God? Even in my own life, even in my life, God spoke to me, I didn't listen; look at what He brought on me."
You hear people say if God is calling you to the ministry and you don't answer the call, your business will collapse, your marriage will collapse. Is it not what they teach? So, if a man, if somebody by mistake told somebody, "Thus saith the Lord, there is a call on your life," and then he doesn't answer the call and things start spoiling, Satan will now hide behind that prophecy and begin to make things break down. Now he will not have the strength to rebuke Satan because that strength has been collected by that misinformation.
So Satan will ruin him, his marriage, his family, and everything around him. Then it becomes a testimony of how God deals with people that do not answer the call. Then every other person that knows him will use that as an excuse as to why things are not working. So Satan is spreading the virus of misinformation and hiding behind misinformation and tormenting people, killing people, wasting their lives in the name of God.
And when you say it cannot be God, they say, "What do you mean? I saw it in black and white. Can evil happen and the Lord has not caused it? And even in my life, God called me, I refused to go; that is why all these things have happened." Then it becomes a teaching, it becomes a belief system that is sold to believers, and everybody that respects such people will buy that ideology.
That is how misinformation spreads. They will not go and check the Bible; they will just pick things here and there and use it to establish falsehood. And Satan likes that kind of thing because it's fertilizer for his operations. And the devil is so dubious that he will now make sure that you are not patient to wait for Damina to teach for two hours. Because if he allows you to stay with me and we go precept upon precept, I will remove the mask, and you will see who is behind it.
So he will make sure you don't follow me patiently by giving you a short attention span. He says, "Ah, no, no, no, the teaching is too long. Let me just look for short-short videos." He likes short-short videos because short-short videos do not have information. So he uses short-short videos to solidify misinformation. Are you all following? He's a trickster. He's a deceiver.
Are you surprised that they believed something like that in the Old Testament? Are you surprised? You're not surprised. Did they want to believe a lie about God? Isaiah, Amos—did they want to believe a lie about God? But did they believe a lie about God? Why? That was the information available to them. Even today in our legal system, our lawyers believe that every disaster natural is an act of God. It's an act of God. The lawyers are all here.
They call it an act of God. When the thunder that destroys a man is an act of God. Tsunami, flood that sweeps a city and buries many people, act of God. Earthquake, act of God. They believe that it is God that sends earthquakes, tsunamis, thunder to strike His enemies. They believe it, and it is entrenched in our legal profession, not just in Nigeria, all the world over. All of that is a belief system that came from the Old Testament. It's part of the misinformation.
Stay with me. I'm not saying our lawyers in church believe it; they know better, but they cannot carry what they know to the court. When they are in court, they will blame God for certain things, even though they know it is not God. Because that's the only way they can win the case. So can you see institutionalized deception? A deception that has become an institution. If you must win the case, you have to align with that thinking pattern. Even though you know inside you that it is not, but you have to win this case.
You say, "My Lord, that issue was an act of God." Because you have to win the case. And my Lord will understand act of God. But if you say, "My Lord, God is innocent in this matter," you have lost the case now. It has to be an act of God because that's what the constitution understands. I'm teaching good. Stay with me, church. Stay with me. That's why I pity Christians who don't want to sit down and hear God's word.
You must always hear God's word; it helps you. It creates understanding for you. You must be patient, you must be calm, you must let God's word build you up. The word of God gives you illumination. When you know God, you have confidence. I'm surprised that Isaiah could say something like that. But he did. That was the information available to them.
David was smarter than all of them. In Psalm 51 verse 1, David says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; cast me not away from your presence." So, which means he knew that even though he had sinned, he was still in the presence. You didn't hear that. He didn't say, "You have cast me out." No, he said, "Cast me not away." That means he knew he was still in the presence. Then he said, "Take not your Holy Spirit," which means he knows that the Holy Spirit has not been taken.
"Against thee, and thee only have I sinned." I didn't sin against anybody else, so nobody has the right to condemn me, and you will not condemn me. "Restore unto me the joy of salvation." He said, "I have transgressed," after killing somebody's husband. He said, "Against You and You only have I sinned." The guy was intelligent.
James, the New Testament apostle, said confess your faults one to another, not confess your faults to social media. We live in a very tricky world. Today's world is a world we have never lived in before. Very tricky. Very tricky. It's going to get more tricky. Confession of sins only breeds sin consciousness. Every time you talk about sin, you are breeding sin consciousness. And some of us, our minds are not renewed.
But David was wise. The devil will thrive whenever you don't know. The devil will thrive whenever you don't know. Somebody by the name of Caleb said if someone's insult bothers you, it is evidence that you respect him. If someone's insult bothers you, it is proof that you respect the person. Because somebody you don't respect, anything he says doesn't matter to you. The devil says you are not good, and you allow it bother you; it's proof that you respect the devil.
Fear is faith in what you fear. Fear is faith in what you fear because if you don't believe in it, you won't be afraid of it. It's perversion; it's perverted faith. Fear. When you are in fear, ask yourself, "Do I really believe in this thing? Why am I afraid of it?" Kenneth Hagin said anytime you feel mistreated, you know that the devil is working on you. Every time you feel, "I don't like the way he is mistreating me," the moment you start feeling mistreated by a person or a situation, Satan has taken over the platform.
Because the next thing it will result to is offense, and the next thing it will graduate to is strife, and the next thing it will produce is confusion and every evil work. And what will make you even feel mistreated is a sense of entitlement. You feel too entitled; that's why you could notice that somebody is not treating you right. If you didn't have a sense of entitlement, how somebody treats you does not matter to you. Hello! I'm teaching good.
Don't submit your power to somebody who did not give it to you. Don't submit your power to somebody who didn't give it to you. So a few things about the devil, because the devil thrives on what you don't know. The more we know God and what Christ has done, the more we know who the devil is. So, three things about the devil. He tries to mystify himself by these three things, and I will show you from the word of God that they are all lies.
Number one, the first thing Satan tries to do is to display himself like an all-knowing person. He displays himself like an all-knowing person. You know some people believe that it is the devil that inspired Bill Gates. The devil is not that intelligent. Those innovations from Bill Gates, from whoever, even if he's not born again, those inventions are from the wisdom of God. Not from the devil. Not from the devil. Not from the devil.
The AI technology is from the wisdom of God. 5G is from the wisdom of God. They call it Antichrist and now they are using it. All of them have become Antichrist. And you know I said it at that time. That this 5G they are calling Antichrist, when the debate was very hot, I told you they will use it. Just wait. I told you, just wait. Very soon, they too will use this Antichrist. You see all of them are carrying 5G. It will reach 10G. It will, watch. It will reach 10G as technology advances; it will reach 10G and we will use it.
Even when it becomes a Monster G, we will use it. Monster G, you understand? Not just 5G, Monster, and you see the monster face like Satan on top and they put G for network. All of us will use it. Satan is to be used. Is he not to be used? Exactly. The earth is still the Lord's and the fullness thereof. Satan owns nothing. That's why he goes around stealing. He goes around to steal, to kill, and to destroy because he doesn't own anything. Say, "I hear you."
They're using 5G now after drawing all kinds of things on blackboard, calculating all kinds of things on top of board as 5G, as Satan Antichrist. Now the board has disappeared with the chalk. They're all using the 5G. Stay with the word of God. Stay with the word of God. They told us some time ago that Geisha is from the queen of the coast. They told us if you eat sardine, you will have water spirit. Me, I went and bought because I wanted this water spirit.
Water spirit with omega. Heavy omega inside this water spirit. And you see, I will not eat it? When my body needs omega, I will kill that water spirit and eat it and have omega for my body. Glory to God! The devil is the master of misinformation. Somebody say Satan is the father of misinformation. You see Satan is smart. Yes, he's smart. He hides behind a mask and distributes misinformation that empowers his operations. That's how he functions. He's a masquerade.
Just remove that mask; see how myopic, pinchomic, and microscopic this idiot is. The book of Isaiah tells us that on the day of judgment, when we shall now see Satan fully unveiled, we shall narrowly look at him because he's myopic and we shall say, "Ah-ah, is it this nonentity that troubled the whole world?" I think it's in Isaiah 14. Give me Isaiah 14:16. Let me show you from the Bible.
Isaiah 14:16: "They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee." What does it mean to narrowly look? You will strain. You will use magnifying glass. You that don't have eye problem, you will go and collect eye glasses. The thing is so tiny. "They shall narrowly look upon thee and consider thee saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms?"
So this is the thing I kept praying all night for. So this is the thing I was fasting a hundred days for. Why didn't I know? Thank God you know now. I say thank God you know now. Tell your neighbor, "The devil is under my feet. I am in authority here." Glory to God! Somebody said, "How are you sure it's Satan?" Ah-ah, start from verse 11 now. Start so that they know that we are not just reading something that sounds like what we want to say.
Verse 10: "All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?" Next verse: "Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols; the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee." Next verse: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
Look at this idiot that weakened the nations. Next verse: "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north." Next verse: "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." Next verse: "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."
Next verse: "They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee and consider thee saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms?" Ah-ah. I can't see it. So this thing is the thing that I was fasting and praying all the time for. So this thing is what our church used to spend hours praying for this idiot. So in this service, we have removed the mask. Can you see this idiot?
Very pinchomic. This thing that trouble—he gives an impression of who he is not. You see, he started in Genesis as a serpent; he ended in Revelation as a dragon. What increased his size? People's mouth. Because as you say it, so it will be. "Satan is powerful. Satan is powerful. You know Satan is after me. It was Satan that made me fail. It is Satan that has been after my life. It is Satan that is fighting my marriage. It is Satan that has made me unemployed.
It is Satan that made me fail exam. It is Satan that made me had accident." So you keep giving Satan what does not belong to him, so his size keeps growing and growing and growing till he becomes a monster because of your mouth. But those of us who know him, we just use magnifying glass to say, "Get out!" He just moves quickly because you get size. Some of you are looking at me and wondering, "Careful oh, Pastor."
Me, careful? For this idiot? "They that know their God, they shall be strong and they shall do exploits." I feel like I'm teaching good here. So the devil gives an illusion, a picture, and he makes people think he is all that, but he is not all that. He tends to show that he's all-knowing, but when you read the Bible, you will discover that he is not all-knowing. Right from the fall of Adam, the devil did not know that Adam was separate from God.
He didn't know. It was when the law of Moses came that Satan now discovered that, ah-ah, Adam is not all that I used to think. Because Romans 5:13 says until the law, sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed where there is no law. So from Genesis, Satan didn't know that Adam has fallen. He was still respecting Adam until the law came and defined sin. Then Satan saw that, ah-ah, no, no, he's not what I used to think.
So from the fall of Adam, the devil didn't know. He's not all that knowing. I'm teaching good here. He's not all that knowing. He didn't know man was falling. It took the law for the devil to understand that man had sinned. Maybe too technical for some people, so let me show you a simple one. Remember when Jesus was born? Let me show you how ignorant Satan can be. When Jesus took on the form of flesh, He was born in a particular place.
In fact, Mary was pregnant nine months, carried Jesus. No premature birth. They looked for a place in the inn and didn't get it. Finally, they delivered Him in a manger. Up to that point, the devil didn't know. Until He was born in that manger, the devil didn't know. Can imagine something as real as that. The moment the wise men met Jesus, He was about one year old because the Bible called Him "young child," not baby. He has become a young child.
They took the gifts to Jesus in their house. Before then, He was growing, breastfeeding. Nobody knew. Now, when the wise men got to know and saw the star, and Herod said, "Go, see if He's really the one; come back and tell me," then God said, "Don't go back. Don't go back. Don't tell Herod; go away." He was hidden from the devil. That's why even Herod didn't know. God told them don't go back because Herod is seeking for the life of the child.
Who do you think was seeking for the life of the child? Was it really Herod? It was the spirit behind Herod. How do you know? The moment Herod got to know this child has been born, even without information, he said every child in the land from the age of two down, kill them. There was a massive massacre all over the land in an attempt to take out the life of Jesus. But before that massacre, Jesus had told them take Him to Egypt.
Egypt was the last place Satan would think they would take Jesus to, because the Old Testament says woe to them that go down to Egypt for help. So Satan, having seen that scripture, knows that Egypt is the last place. But he doesn't know the wisdom of God. Oh, glory to God! Had the devil known it, he wouldn't have crucified the Lord of glory. Somebody shout, "The devil doesn't know much!" I'm teaching good this morning. He doesn't know much.
I say you know the devil, no, no, the devil—don't be attributing too much to that idiot. He didn't think they would go to Egypt. Why was Herod afraid? Why? Because that was the voice of Satan in Herod. Herod was frustrated. See that? So all the children two years below, killed in a land. That was Satan in operation. That massacre was from Satan. He is the killer, and they killed all the children, but God told them take this child to Egypt.
So the devil doesn't know everything. Then it was at the age of 30, from two, that Satan was able to track where Jesus was. From after Egypt, Herod died, who was Satan's agent. Then Jesus was brought back. Now Satan didn't know who else to get information from. So Jesus was growing and going to the temple and learning until He was 30 at the baptism of John. When the heavens opened and the voice said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear Him," Satan said, "Early!" So that is the one.
The next day Satan came to Jesus. He said, "Come here. If you are the Son of God," which means he wasn't even still sure. "Command the stones to be made bread." Jesus refused to talk about "if you are." He avoided "if you are." He said, "Man shall not live by bread alone," confusing him the more. I'm teaching good here. Turn to your neighbor and say, "Satan is not all that." Never think he knows God's plan for your life. God's plan is a mystery.
Even you don't know all of God's plan. And God makes sure He doesn't show you all the plan. So as you follow Him, He opens Phase 1. When you have entered Phase 1 and mastered it, He opens Phase 2 so that both you and Satan don't know what God is about to do. That's why God won't show you everything; He will give you small-small. As you keep following and obeying Him, it will be opening up. As you keep coming, it will be opening up.
Why? Because if He shows you everything you will walk by sight, and when you are walking by sight, Satan influences sight. So as you follow Him, He will be opening the plan for your life in phases. Am I teaching good here? Step by step. He doesn't show you everything. He doesn't show you everything. That's why you've got to follow Him; you've got to stay in the word.
How many of you know that all that happened in the birth of Jesus was predicted one thousand years before Jesus came? And the devil saw the prediction, yet he didn't know when the action had started. That's how stupid the devil is. Let me tell you, if the person Satan is possessing is a fool, Satan in him is a foolish Satan. If the person Satan possesses is intelligent, Satan in him is very intelligent. That means the devil is neither intelligent nor stupid depending on who he uses.
You didn't hear what I said. That's why the moment Herod died, Satan didn't know where Jesus was until John. He relies on the brain of the people he will use. You understand? If he is a mushy person, he is a mushy devil inside the person. I'm teaching good. Tell your neighbor, "The devil doesn't know much." Glory to God!
"If you are the Son of God, command these stones to be made bread." He thought Jesus would say, "Yes, I'm the Son of God." Jesus is the wisdom of God. He said, "Leave that side. Man shall not live by bread—let's deal with bread." Keep thinking who I could be. Now, the worst-case scenario was he should have been too intelligent to beg everyone not to kill Jesus. Satan should have been too intelligent to be begging everybody, "Don't kill him, don't kill him, don't kill him; supply him protection, give him everything."
Satan should have been very intelligent to do that, but because he's a stupid idiot, he facilitated the death. Because he didn't even know what the death represented. You know the devil is that ignorant. He wants to prove that he is all-knowing, but he's not. Write this in capital letters: it is what you tell the devil that the devil knows. It is what you tell the devil that the devil knows.
Anything you keep talking about is telling the devil something. First Corinthians chapter 2 verse 6, pay attention: "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect, yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought." Next verse: "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory." Next verse: "Which none of the princes of this world knew, for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
Satan is ignorant. If he knew, he would have stopped the death of Christ. He would have done everything to keep Jesus alive forever. But he facilitated the death. Don't think he knows too much. The devil is so stupid that in the morning you say, "I am going to Eket," then you call somebody close and say, "I'm actually going to Abak." He will go to Eket and be waiting. That's how stupid Satan is. You didn't hear what I said.
He is so stupid that you can do him "boju-boju." "I'm going to Abak today, I'm going to Abak today, I'm going to Abak," you call your wife, "Darling, come, I'm actually going to Ikot Ekpene, so I'll see you later in the day." Satan will go to Abak road, mount up road checkpoint with all his demons, all of them will leave everywhere, gather there, waiting for you. You have gone to Ikot Ekpene. He'll be there till you come back and he'll keep saying, "Kai, he is delaying, he is delaying."
He'll be waiting there until another assignment carries him to another place. I'm teaching good this morning. That's what happened in the Bible. What Satan uses is what I call the experience of the falling angel. The experience of the falling angel. He uses "if," "what if," "supposing," "in case." Those are the kind of things Satan uses. "What if," "if," "supposing," "in case." See, had the princes of this world known when Jesus died, they knew because they knew what had happened to them in Hades.
Look at Matthew chapter 27 verse 62: "Now the next day that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said," talking of Jesus, "while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead; so the last error shall be worse than the first."
So by this point they have discovered that by killing Jesus, it was an error. Do you understand? Now their eye has cleared. Satan just discovered, "Ay! Ay! I shouldn't have killed Him. I should—oh! I should have stopped them from killing Him. Now let's—let's make sure He doesn't rise, so we don't commit two errors at the same time." So soldiers came guarding the grave. They put a seal on the grave.
Soldiers were awake all night. Battalions were waiting for Jesus to make sure any attempt, they blow off His brains. But while they were watching, the man was risen and gone. He was already in the city. He was already operating everywhere. He was appearing to certain people. How many of you observe He didn't appear to everybody? He appeared to certain people so that they will keep waiting. The guy was gone. Taught for forty days; they were still waiting.
They were still waiting. They even paid soldiers to go and announce that He is not risen. But He has finished teaching for forty days, and He has told them, "Guys, take charge. Let me leave here and come inside you. Let me leave the physical and enter you and stay. So that they will never see Me inside you. So since Satan is using people as mask, Me too, I will use you as mask. I will stay inside you and use you." Glory to God!
I will live in you. I will walk in you. I will be your God; you will be my sons and my daughters. Know ye not that you are the temple of the Holy Ghost? Somebody shout, "I house God!" Satan, let me push a little more. Satan doesn't know much oh. He is not all-knowing; he is not all that. So they understood that they had made a mistake. The Bible says "had the princes of this world known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
So number one, Satan is not all-knowing. Number two, he tries to show you that he is all-powerful. Satan tries to show that he is all-powerful. That's why you see some films where the devil is flexing muscles in the film. But Luke chapter 10 verse 18: Satan is as powerful as falling. "I see the devil fall." That's how powerful he is. He's as powerful as falling. Luke 10:18, put it up, brother. He's as powerful as falling.
"He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." So he's as powerful as falling. Verse 19: He is as powerful as being under the feet of those that are not born again. "Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." And the people Jesus was giving this power to were not born again.
So Satan is as powerful as being under the feet of those that are not born again. How powerful is Satan? He is as powerful as Colossians 2:14. The death of Jesus delivered humanity. Colossians 2:14: "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross." Next verse: "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of us openly, triumphing over them in it."
So Satan is as powerful as becoming a public disgrace. He's as powerful as Hebrews 2:14 and 15: "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same," talking of Jesus, "that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil." He's as powerful as a destroyed person. Jesus destroyed him that had the power of death.
How powerful is the devil? He is as powerful as such that he couldn't detain his victims. Through death, Jesus delivered them that were all their life subject to bondage through the fear of death. And you know the devil has power—no, he doesn't have power. It's your own power he is using. Revelation 1:18: "I am he that liveth, and was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen, and have the keys of hell and of death."
Keys there is authority. So the authority of hell and death are not in the devil's hands; they are in Jesus' hands. What does the devil have? Tricks. I thought he had power. Jesus took all. All authority is given unto Jesus in heaven and on earth. All the devil has is tricks, "wayo," "G-B-T," "ojoro," "utoto," "konni." That's all he has. Nothing more. So you and I have a right to understand the operandi of Satan.
That's why I tell people to stop making a big deal of Satan. Every time you pray, you must call Satan inside your prayer. I can't remember the last time in the last ten years that in my private prayer Satan's name appeared. For what? For what? My prayer is my fellowship with my Father. Satan is not a factor in that fellowship. Eh? Even in your prayer, you don't pray for Satan not to trouble me. Your prayer is that I'm delivered from wicked and unreasonable men, not wicked and unreasonable Satan.
He has been defeated! Say, "I hear you." There's no prayer, "Father, deliver me from Satan." No, it's men. Men. Because men can cooperate with Satan, and Satan can use men and their authority on earth to carry out evil. So we demobilize those men so that even if Satan wants to use them, he is a demobilized Satan in a demobilized man. So they are planning, but they lack the ability to carry out their enterprise. While they are planning, you have gone. When they are executing, you are already in Egypt.
Glory to God! "They shall surely gather, but not by Me; they that gather for your sake," they just find out as they are planning, you are not there. One time they were planning to kill Paul. You see what God did? They were planning to kill Paul. God made sure Paul's cousin—I mean nephew—was hanging around the environment, and as they were in the meeting, the nephew of Paul eavesdropped into that meeting and heard them talking about what they would do to Paul.
God will always make sure somebody that likes you is around them. Before they finish, you have information. So you'll be operating like God. When they say they will go here, you go here. "Ah-ah, what's happening here?" And even if there's nobody, the Holy Spirit will tell you, "Don't go out today. Play music and enjoy. Play Damina's teaching." You say, "Ehen, this series that Papa has been teaching since January, Part 1 to 44 now. Let me listen to Part 1 to 10 today."
You start playing and playing and playing and playing and just be having a nice time. Satan is running helter-skelter looking for the road you are going to pass from. He goes to Itinha Road; you are not there after three hours. He moves, he goes to Epeni Road; you didn't pass after four hours. Oron Road; you didn't pass after five hours. Calabar Itu Road; you didn't pass after fifteen hours. He goes to Wellington Bassey Way, maybe you are going to Government House.
He waits there; Governor will come and pass with siren. He will think you are part of the siren; he will not see you. After he is tired, he will say, "Let's go to Calabar and arrest this man." Glory to God! Glory to God! Glory to God! Glory to God! Somebody shout, "I am in victory!" That's why David will say, "Thou hast made me wiser than all my enemies, for they are ever with me," but I'm wiser than them. Tell your neighbor, "The devil is not any powerful." I'm not hearing you. Tell your neighbor, "The devil is not any powerful." Tell your neighbor, "He can only do as much as being under your feet."
Give me a few minutes, I'll close this service. Are you blessed? Number three, which is the last one. The devil will try to give you an impression that he is ever present. That he is ever present. But if he is ever present, why do we cast out demons? That means when we cast them out, they are no more here. So Satan cannot be everywhere.
The Bible says the eyes of the Lord run to and fro the whole earth. That means the earth is too small to the Lord. One gaze, He sees everything. Satan has to move. He has to travel, take a plane. You know Satan takes a plane? Eh? Oh, you don't know? The people he possesses, do they not enter plane? So Satan has to be carried inside plane to arrive another town. But God just sits down and does like this, and He sees the whole world. Satan will have to travel from Eket to Etim Ekpo.
Sometimes Satan you're calling is in the Caribbean trying to do water spirit things. You are here in Uyo shouting, "Satan! Satan! Satan!" and demons are laughing. "This one doesn't know that Oga is in Caribbean." For example, I know that the devil is not in my house because he is not in me. He has to be in me to enter my house. And if somebody that carries Satan comes to us by house, when they get to gate, Satan will leave him. I say, "When you finish, come out, I am waiting for you."
Because if you carry Satan in this house, they will cast me out. I don't want to be cast out. Let me cast myself out so I can cast myself in. Be going in, I am waiting for you. Glory to God! Only God has the characteristics of being everywhere. Remember, Satan is not all-powerful. He's defeated by Jesus. He's under your feet. Glory to God! I said glory to God! Somebody say, "You know, God created Satan for a purpose." What purpose? What purpose?
God never created Satan. God created Lucifer. Lucifer with man planned, and out of their plan, Lucifer became Satan, man became a victim. The devil is not what he says he is. At the end of this series, you will discover that there is only one tool the devil uses. It is called deception. Deception. And the only way to master deception is knowledge. If you are going to destroy deception, you must have knowledge. Knowledge is critical.
When you know, you cannot be deceived. So in our knowledge of God's word, we have to come to that point where we know the devil and we know his limitations. Just like I showed you, he has limitation of knowledge, he has limitation of presence, he has limitation of ability. Satan has limitation of knowledge, he has limitation of presence, he has limitation of ability. When you understand that Satan has limitation of knowledge, then you become careful what you tell people.
When you discover that Satan has limitation of knowledge, you are careful what you tell people. Glory to God! I say glory to God! I say glory to God! When you know he is limited, you don't bother yourself. You begin to walk in the victory that is yours in Christ Jesus. Glory to God! I say glory to God! You must never forget, absolute victory is yours in Christ. You own the victory. Somebody shout, "I own the victory!"
Stand on your feet; that's all I've got for you. Glory to God! I say glory to God! Stand on your feet. Shout, "I am not deceived!" No, I didn't say say, I say shout it! "I am not deceived!" That deaf and dumb spirit of Satan has to hear you well. Shout it! "I am not deceived!" Say it very loud, "I am not deceived! I cannot be manipulated! I cannot be defeated! I am what the word says I am! I have what the word says I have! I have absolute victory! All authority is in Christ! All authority is in Christ! All power is in Jesus! And Jesus lives in me!"
Glory to God! Glory to God! Glory to God! Say it very loud, "I am superior to Satan and his deceptions!" Turn to your neighbor and say, "Neighbor, I am in authority." So if anything is bothering you, we are going to exercise authority. Glory to God! I'd like you to grab your neighbor. Let's pray for one another. 60 seconds. Pray for somebody. Take authority over every trick, over every deception, over every strategy, over every manipulation. Take authority!
Rebuke whatever is not of God around your neighbor. Frustrate every strategy of the devil. This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. You trample over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the devil. Nothing shall by any means, nothing shall by any means hurt you. You are kept; you are preserved. Stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Glory to God!
In the name of Jesus, can I hear your amen like thunder! I declare over you today you are strong in the Lord. You are strong in the power of His might. You trample over serpents. You trample over scorpions. All the power of the devil, nothing shall by any means hurt you! In the name of Jesus! No weapon formed against you prospers. Every calculation of the enemy is defeated. You are delivered from wicked and unreasonable men. You are delivered from the snare of men! In the name of Jesus!
God has delivered you. He is delivering you. He will yet deliver you! In the name of Jesus! And I decree that whatever is not planted by God, the noise of the devil in your mind, I command it to shut up in the name of Jesus! I break depression. I break oppression. Satan, out, out, out, out! Take your hands off of God's property! In the name of Jesus!
Any one the devil is using around you, by the wisdom of God, you outsmart them. Your body is healthy. Your body is strong. Sickness and disease does not operate in your family! In the name of Jesus! I command your body to be quickened. Your mind be quickened. Your mind be quickened. Your business prosper. Your career prosper. Your family prosper. Satan, take your hands off! In the name of Jesus!
