Revelation knowledge is granted each and every one of us tonight in this building and around the world. Burdens and yokes are destroyed. Whatever is not planted by God is rooted out. Build and equip your people tonight with your word. We decree that by the end of this service, your people will be edified and Jesus will be glorified. In Jesus' precious name.

Lift your right hands to heaven. Let's release our faith together as we say these words. I am born of God. I am born of the word. The word of God is my nature. I do not struggle to do the word. I do the word naturally. Therefore today, I will understand the word of his grace. I will be built up. By the end of this service, I will never be the same. Never, ever be the same again. In Jesus' name.

You can be seated in the heavenlies with your sweet, smart self. Let's get into the word of God tonight.

We've been on the Soteria series and, like I said, in every Soteria, there's always a focus that I always would want us to go through and just clarify things on the subject of salvation. The book of 2 Timothy chapter 3, verse number 15. Brother Paul writes to Timothy and says to Timothy, "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." Salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. So fundamentally, we see that salvation is teaching. Salvation is teaching. It's not just experiential. It is actually teaching.

As a pastor, your doctrine is the teaching of salvation. The teaching of salvation, that is the pastor's message. What kind of salvation? Salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Verse 16 of that 2 Timothy chapter 3 now says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." The word doctrine there, profitable for doctrine, is the word for teaching. It's in teaching we have reproof. It's in teaching we have reproof. It's in teaching we have correction. It's in teaching we have instruction in righteousness.

The word teaching is the Greek word didaskalia. That word didaskalia is teaching or explanation. Out of teaching, we have the word elegchos. Elegchos is reproof. It means to persuade. Hebrews 11:1, you see the application of the word elegchos there. It says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The evidence, the persuasion of things not seen. So the word elegchos, which is reproof, is actually the word for persuasion or for evidence.

Then the next word is epanorthosis. Epanorthosis is the word for correction. It means to correct, to set in the right place, to set in the right place or to put something that is fitting is the word correction. We know that the word scripture is the Old Testament. When we say scripture, we are referring to Genesis to Malachi, which is the Old Testament. So since the scripture is the Old Testament, it means that what you are doing with the Old Testament is setting the work of salvation right. Setting the work of salvation right from Genesis to Malachi.

The next word there is for instruction, the Greek word paideia. Paideia means spiritual growth or to raise up a child by the way of the mouth. Spiritual growth or to raise up a spiritual child by the way of the mouth, instruction in righteousness. To bring up, to nurture. That's the same word used in Ephesians chapter 6, verse 4. Then you will also see the usage of that word in Hebrews chapter 12, verse 5 to 8 for persuasion, setting things aright and for development.

That's what teaching does. When you are taught, you will come to a place where you have reproof, evidence, where you have correction, where you're corrected, where your mind is properly aligned and then to a place where you develop or where you you are nurtured, where you grow, where you mature, where you are developed as a child of God. That's what teaching does.

Verse 17 now says, 2 Timothy 3:17, "That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto every good work." The word perfect there is the word artios. Artios means to be adequate, adequately furnished unto every good work. Exartizo, every good work, to be adequately prepared or fully equipped. Same thing, different objectives. Adequately equipped, fully equipped. It means that the subject of salvation is the equipment of the pastor. The subject of salvation is the equipment of the pastor. The teaching or subject of salvation is the pastor's message.

So he writes and says, "Count the elders worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in word and doctrine." Especially they who labor in word and doctrine. It means count the elders worthy of double honor, those who labor in teaching salvation. Those who labor in teaching salvation. Word and doctrine there is salvation. So the pastor's equipment is the message of salvation. It cannot be those who labor in teaching anything. They who labor in teaching salvation.

We said the word didaskalos is synonymous with the word didache. Didache means a particular teaching, a specific emphasis, a particular teaching. So the teaching of the pastor specifically is salvation. And that is why the pastor should be honored for teaching salvation. Not just for teaching anything, not just for laboring in any subject, but laboring in teaching salvation. That's why you have doctrines in plural. Doctrines will be teaching all kinds of things, but the message of the scripture is one. It's called the doctrine, singular, of Christ. One message, the doctrine, the teaching of Christ, not the teachings of Christ. We don't have teachings of Christ. We have a teaching of Christ.

The pastor must stay on his lane and teach the message of Christ, the message of Christ. There's just one teaching and it's salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. That's what we are called to teach. That's why Brother Paul will now say in 2 Timothy chapter 2, verse 2, "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same, the same, the same, particular emphasis, the same commit thou to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also." Singular emphasis. What you heard from me, the same commit to others who will teach the same, singular message. Who will teach the same to others, who will teach the same to others, who will teach the same to others. Singular message.

We don't have a variety. It's not entertainment. We don't have a variety. We have a singular message and that message is salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Can somebody shout hallelujah? So in looking at this subject, what we have done over the years is to answer questions because most questions people ask me all over the world, whether physically or on television or through radio or on social media, most questions, in fact, 99.999% of the questions that people have asked me all over the world are salvation questions. All of them are salvation questions. They are all salvation related.

That is why the teaching that we give you when we do Soteria is a teaching that if you follow carefully, it answers a lot of your questions without you asking. Sometimes people use their experiences to try to explain salvation, but you can't explain salvation with experiences. Salvation is a doctrine, it's a teaching from scripture and only scripture has the final say on the subject of salvation. The Bible tells us that it is a book of salvation and we must be detailed on the subject of salvation. Amen.

A few days ago, we began to talk about the death of Jesus and we settled where does death come from. That was an issue we have clearly settled, where death comes from. We're going to begin to look at the judgment of God, the judgment of God. The first place we see the judgment of God where God actually judged a matter, the first place where we will see the judgment of God or where God actually judged a matter for the first time, will be in Genesis.

Just before we read, the funny thing is that God judges a matter before it is done. He judges a matter before it is done, not after it is done, because God does not react. So ahead of time, he judges the matter. You will see how he does. He doesn't react, he only pro-acts. He pro-acts.

First judgment of God, Genesis chapter 2, verse 16. "And the Lord God commanded the man saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat." Next verse, "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." So the judgment was pro. The judgment was not after, the judgment was not post. The judgment was pro ahead of time. That is God's judgment and it shows how God judges. God's judgment is not sentencing a conduct. God's judgment is not sentencing a conduct. God's judgment was seen that there was no death.

So the first place we see death was in the judgment of God, Genesis 2:17. And that death there, or that judgment, is the Hebrew word muth, if you remember, to die. First place death is mentioned and it is mentioned as a byproduct of sin. Death is mentioned as a byproduct of sin in the judgment of God, a byproduct of sin in the judgment of God.

Now if you look at Romans chapter 5, verse 12, it will give us clarity to Genesis 2:16. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." As by one man sin and death by sin, for that all have sinned. Now if your Bible is mine, underline the word for that all have sinned, all have sinned. What it simply means there, all have sinned is the Law of Moses. All have sinned is the Law of Moses. So if I am you, I will underline all have sinned and write on it the Law of Moses and put a little star and leave it there. All have sinned, that is the Law of Moses. We will explain in the course of the week.

Now notice what he says in Romans 5:12. The word and there is the scare there. He says, "Moreover, death by sin." So death is mentioned here in the book of Romans, death by sin. So we see the mention of the word death. Don't forget we have already said that it was sin that brought death. For that all have sinned. Remember we did a survey the other day and we were looking at the word death in the different books. We found out that the book of Romans has arguably the clearest explanation of death in the epistles, the book of Romans. So it has death mentioned in the following places. Please follow carefully.

Romans chapter 1, verse 32. "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." The very first mention of death in the book of Romans is connected to judgment, judgment, death as judgment. That's the first place it is mentioned in the book of Romans.

Romans chapter 5, verse 10. "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." Another scripture, Romans chapter 5, verse 12. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men." Death twice in that verse, death mentioned twice. So we have seen the mention of death four times in the book of Romans.

Romans chapter 5, verse 14. "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." So death again mentioned.

Romans chapter 5, verse 17. Now pay attention to 5:17. "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." Pay attention, for if by one man's offense death reigned, so death seems to take up a personality, death reigned. So death seems to take up a personality. Now death is reigning, or death is in rulership, or it is now the regime of death, the reign of death. So death seems to take up a personality.

Pay attention, Romans 5:21. "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." That as sin hath reigned unto death, sin reigned unto death.

Romans chapter 6, verse 3. "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death, into his death?" Romans chapter 6, verse 3 again, "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?" His death, his death for us, his death for us, the word huper, his death on our behalf, his death on our behalf or his death on behalf of.

Remember, Jesus is the lamb of God, not the lamb for God. Jesus is the lamb of God, not the lamb for God. Keep that somewhere. He is the lamb of God, meaning God is not the one who used the lamb. Meaning God is not the one who used the lamb. The lamb is not for God's usage. The lamb is the lamb of God. So whoever used the lamb is not God. Whoever used the lamb is not God. Are you still in the building?

Come with me again to Romans chapter 6, verse 4. "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Buried with him by baptism into death, into his death. Romans 6:5. "For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection." His death.

So the focus of death in the book of Romans is on the personality of Jesus or his redemptive work. The focus of death in the book of Romans is on the personality of Jesus or his redemptive work. Death, death, death, death, death is Jesus or his redemptive work.

Romans chapter 6, verse 9. "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him." Romans 6:16. A lot of scriptures, good for your health. "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" Of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness.

Romans chapter 6, verse 21. "What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death." That word end is the word completion, for the completion of those things is death.

Romans 6:23, very key scripture. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Important verse. Put a little star beside it because we will do some work there.

Romans chapter 5, verse 12 is saying the same thing with Romans 6:23. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned. For the wages of sin is death." It is the same thing.

Romans chapter 7, verse 5. "For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death, to bring forth fruit unto death." So Romans interplays sin as the mother of death. Romans interplays sin as the mother of death. So death is the child of sin, sin is the mother of death.

Romans again, chapter 7, verse 13. "Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful."

Romans chapter 7, verse 24. "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?"

Romans chapter 8, verse 2. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath set me free from the law of sin and death." Sin and death. So anytime you mention death, you mention sin. Anytime you mention death, you mention sin, sin and death.

Romans 8:6. "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." This is not behavior, this is status. This is not behavior, this is status.

The only place where you will see death mentioned different is in Romans 8:38. "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, neither death nor life."

So death in the book of Romans is taught from sin's perspective. Meaning that there cannot be death without sin. There can be no death without sin. God does not play in sin. So God cannot be involved in death because there will be no death until there is sin. To say God is involved in death will be to say that God orchestrates sin, because death is a child of sin, sin is the mother of death.

Very, very important. Romans chapter 5, verse 12, death is mentioned there twice. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men." The word passed upon is the word diakomai. It's a Greek word, means to spread its influence. It passed upon, it spread its influence. That's why he uses the word reign, to spread its influence.

Remember, we used Hebrews chapter 2, verse 14 in the last few days to talk about death. "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." He held, he held, the devil had it or he held onto. Death passed upon all, spread its influence. Meaning it was not automatic. It spread its influence over time. Meaning it was not automatic. Keep that somewhere. It was not automatic, death by sin.

Remember, when Jesus was to be captured for crucifixion, what he said in Luke 22:53, "When I was daily with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness." This is your hour. So men were coming to carry Jesus, but Jesus called them the power of darkness. Men were coming to arrest him and he told them, "When I was with you people in the temple daily, you didn't touch me, there was no cause for us to fight; but this is your hour, you guys, and the power of darkness that is at work inside you." This is your hour and the power of darkness. The word power of darkness is the same word for kingdom of darkness.

So if we say that death passed, that will mean death started from somewhere. Because for it to spread means it has a point of origin. It started from somewhere. And where did it start from? Adam to Moses. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses. So the death, the reign of death, the rule of death started with Adam.

John 8:44, please pay attention. "You are of your father the devil, and the lust of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." He was a murderer from the beginning. He was a murderer, so hidden in the motions of death is the devil. Hidden in the motions of death is the devil. He was the murderer from the beginning.

Again, who had the power of death? The devil. He held onto it. He was a murderer from the beginning. Look at what Jesus called that power. He called that power the lust of your father. "You are of your father the devil, and the lust of your father..." So the power of the devil finds expression in lust. The power of the devil finds expression in lust. Remember, the authority is in men. Satan's authority is in men.

Satan on his own as a spirit without a human habitation is useless. Satan on his own as a fallen angel without a human body where there is a will and a mind, he has no power. He wouldn't dare. So Satan's kingdom, Satan's power is in men. The lust of your father. Who is their father? The devil. But where is the lust? In man.

Remember the motion of sins? Lust, uncontrollable desire, produces sin, sin produces death. Where is lust? In man. What does Satan use to carry out his operations? Lust. Where is lust? In man. So man is the headquarters of Satan's operation. Man without Christ. Satan's kingdom is not in the sky. Satan's kingdom is not in the atmosphere. Satan's kingdom is in the heart of the unregenerated man because it is in that heart that lust stays and Satan cannot carry out any of his activities without the lust of a man.

The authority is in men, it's lust. So now, Jesus takes off the veil, he removes the veil. He says your father was a murderer, he was the one who murdered men from the beginning. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam. Who murdered Adam? Satan. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. Murderer will refer to death by sin, death by sin, because Jesus was talking about sin in John chapter 8. The subject matter of that context is sin. So it will be death by sin.

When he says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free, the truth there is a person. "I am the way, the truth, and the life." Jesus is the truth. What he is saying is you shall know Jesus, you shall know Jesus. So the truth is a person, the setting free there is redemption. You shall know Jesus and by his redemptive sacrifice, he will set you free. It's not memorizing scripture, it is the revelation of Jesus.

So the power of darkness is situated in sin. But the question is where does sin come from? Where does sin come from? Sin comes from uncontrollable desire, uncontrollable desire comes from desire. So the power of darkness is used by men. So that is why the death of Jesus was done by men because it is in men you will find the power of darkness. It is in men you will find the power of darkness.

James 1:13 and 14. "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed." Drawn away of his own, not Satan's lust, not Satan's lust, his own lust.

By one man sin entered, not by Satan. Satan is not the originator of sin, man is the originator of sin and man is the originator of death. One man sin entered and death by the sin that came from man. By one man sin, death by sin. So where was... was there enticement in Genesis chapter 3? Was there enticement? Yes. Was there a drawing away? Was there a drawing away? So death is man-made. Death is man-made. Death is man-made.

You know God didn't create death. God doesn't create death so God doesn't use death because God doesn't need death. God didn't create death, God doesn't use death because God doesn't need death. The record of God's creation is in Genesis 1 and no death in it. And when God finished, he saw that everything he has created was good and God rested from his work because he has ended his work. After Genesis 1, God has not created anything else. And there was no death in that account. So death is not God's handiwork, death is not God's creation, God doesn't need it. So God doesn't use it.

So anywhere you see people peddling death, behind them is an operation of the devil. Whoever they are. God doesn't need death, God doesn't use death. Even if the man is an archbishop or a pope, if he is peddling death around, he is working for Satan. God doesn't need death, God did not create death, God does not use death and God will never use death.

So man created death but Satan used it. Man created death but Satan used it because sin came by man, not Satan. So notice something we have seen about death. Death reigned. Death reigned. That word reign is the Greek word basileuo. Basileuo means kingdom. Death reigned, kingdom. When it says it passed upon all, that is kingdom. It spread its rulership, it spread its reign, its regime. For today, we are under the reign of General Buhari in Nigeria. Is that true? And Buhari has the rule over the territory called Nigeria. In another four years, somebody will take over power. Buhari's regime will be over and a new reign will come into power. So today, Nigeria is Buhari's kingdom. He reigns over Nigeria. Death reigned from Adam to Moses and because of sin, death has spread its influence over all men. The rule of death, the reign of death. Death, a product of sin. Sin, a product of man. So man, the producer of a commodity called sin and death.

So basileuo, which is kingdom, death reigned. It's in the reign of death we find the Law of Moses. It's in the reign of death we find the Law of Moses. That's why the Law of Moses was about judgment. The Law of Moses, that's why the Law of Moses is called the law of sin and death, because it was about sin's motions. It says reign. To reign is the king's authority or dominion.

Romans 5:21, "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Please listen again. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness, through righteousness. The reign of grace is through righteousness unto eternal life, how? By Jesus Christ our Lord. The same way sin and death reign, grace by righteousness through Jesus Christ reigns unto eternal life. Hallelujah.

So sin reigned unto death and we have the word reign used 17 times also. It is used in verse 17 of the same Romans 5. "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." We reign. Death reigned in sin. Death reigned in sin. Where sin is dealt with, death is dealt with. Because death cannot reign on its own. For death to reign, it must find a vehicle of sin to reign. So when sin is dealt with, automatically death is dealt with.

When sin is dealt with, what have you dealt with? You've dealt with death. When you take off the root of a tree, what happens to the branches and fruits? Exactly. So the root of death is what? Sin. So instead of fighting death, what do you do with... deal with sin. Once you deal with sin, you put an end to death. Death reigned in sin. Death reigned in sin. So interestingly, how you deal with sin is to deal with death. How you deal with sin is to deal with death and you will find out in a few minutes. How you interestingly deal with sin is to deal with death.

So let's describe basileuo, reign. I'm going to read three verses and I will ask you a question. Please, I need your entire attention as I read. And if you have your Bible, you can open and look at it with me because I'm going to ask you for the similar thing in these three scriptures. There is something similar in these three scriptures.

Look first of all Matthew 2:22. "But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee." But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judah in the room of his father.

Second scripture, Luke 1:33. "And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end." And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Third scripture, Luke 19:14 and 27. "But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

There's something common in these scriptures we read. What is that? Reign over. So you don't just reign, you have to reign over something. You don't just reign. It is what you are reigning over that makes you reign. If you're reigning over nothing, you are not reigning. You must reign over something specific. So basileuo is specific. It is a reign over something. Death reigned over them, them where sin is.

Look at 1 Timothy 6:15. "Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings," the King over kings. The King over kings. 1 Corinthians 15:25. "For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet." Reigning over all enemies. Other scriptures you read at home for personal study: Revelation 5:10, Revelation 11:15, Revelation 11:17, Revelation 19:6, Revelation 20:4, Revelation 20:6, and Revelation 22:6. All of those scriptures were talking about the reign of Christ.

But notice that the reign of Christ was after the ransom, after the ransom, after the ransom. That is where you find the reign of Christ, after the ransom. So let's go to Romans 5:12. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned." So the reign of death will be through sin. So question: What gave sin a kingdom? What gave sin a kingdom? What gave death a kingdom? Sin. Death by... So what gave death a kingdom? Sin. Without sin, death has no kingdom. Without sin, death cannot reign.

So have you noticed that the sin we read is a noun? A noun, a noun. Look at Romans 5:17. "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." One man's offense, death reigned, death reigned by one noun. The word reign means to spread your influence or to use your influence. To reign, to spread or to use your influence.

Jesus will not reign in unrestricted ways. So the reign of Jesus must be specified. He does not reign in unrestricted ways and you will find out in a short while. How does God's righteousness reign? How does God's righteousness reign? By life. Jesus reigns in life.

That by one man, one man Jesus. Is it a person or an action? A person. So basileuo has a specific place. It's not scattered, it has a specific place. Death came by sin, so death is restricted to sin. You cannot find death outside sin. So the restriction of the operation of death will be within the parameters of sin. You can't find death outside sin. It only works within sin and God has no business with sin so God has no business with death.

"Him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." So the devil held onto the power of death. Question: Who was the captive? Man. Who was the captor? The devil. Who was the captor? The devil. What was the captivity? Sin. The devil the captor, captivity sin, the captive man. Man the captive, devil the captor, sin the captivity.

So if we are going to set man free, what do we have to deal with to free man? Sin. What is the captivity? Sin. The captor cannot capture you until there is a bait. Outside the bait, the captor is captorless. If there is no captivity, the captor captures nothing. The captor only captures when there is a bait. What's the captivity? Sin. So if man will be free, what do we deal with? The captor or the captivity? Exactly. So when sin is dealt with, what happens to man? Man is free. Can the devil deal with man after sin is dealt with? No, because the devil's access to man is the captivity.

So that's why whom the Son sets free, free from what? Sin. They ask Brother Paul, "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" Not continue to sin, but continue in sin. There's a difference between "to" and "in". To sin is activity, in sin is a state. And Brother Paul say, "How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Meaning a man that is born again, Satan cannot reign over that man. In fact, can I be honest with you? The born again man is very dangerous for Satan. Satan is not dangerous for us, we are dangerous to him.

Satan is not dangerous to us, he is not a threat, he is not an issue. His bait has been shattered, he has nothing over us. Jesus said, "The prince of this world came to me, he found nothing in me." Say I am free from sin. I am born of God. I have the life of God. Therefore Satan and death has no hold on me. Shout amen to that.

You are no more in sin. Say it very loud. Three times. Two times. Loudest! Are you in sin? No. Where are you? In Christ. And what is in Christ? Righteousness. And because you are no longer in sin, sin shall no longer have... So the domain, the reign, the dominion of sin and death. That's why when you receive Christ, you pass from death to life. You are not under that regime. You are no longer under the regime of death and sin. It has no power over you because the captivity has been broken and you're free now. You're not a sinner saved by grace, you're saved by grace. He has no hold over you any longer. You are free from sin and all of his attendant attachments. Glory to God. Free from sin. Say I'm a free man, the Son has set me free and he lives in me. He freed me and occupied me.

He freed you and occupied you. If he had even freed you and said go, you will be free. But to guarantee the freedom, he freed you and entered and said this is my house. That sin, if they born you well come around. Whatsoever is born of God. That's the power of the resurrected life. He quickened us, raised us up, made us sit together with him in the heavenlies. Sin shall no longer, no longer, no longer have, have, have, have dominion over you. You're not under the law, you're under grace. And whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

Do we need to deal with the devil? No. Do we need to fight Satan? No. Why? He is useless to us. Let me ask you another question. Who was the servant of sin? Man. Who was the slave owner? The devil. What was the slavery? Sin. So if there's going to be redemption, it cannot be paid to God because God is not the slave owner. When they kidnap somebody, who do they pay ransom to? So who kidnapped man? Sin and by substitution, Satan. Who was the ransom paid to? To sin and Satan. So both Satan and sin has no access any longer to the born again man.

And that's why sometimes you hear people use Colossians 1:13 and they say it is for casting out, doing deliverance for believers. Colossians 1:13 is heavier than demons. Put it up let's read it, Colossians 1:13. "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son." That verse is not deliverance from demons, it's deliverance from the mother who empowers demons. Who is the mother that empowers Satan? Sin. So the deliverance is from sin, which is used as the power of darkness.

The believer is delivered from the root, from the root itself that powered Satan to operate in power, which is sin. Now listen to the hierarchy. Sin, sin up there. Death down here. Sin and death. In between, Satan. Satan hides in between sin and death and uses sin and death to wreak havoc. So when sin is removed, death is removed, Satan is removed. Sin came from man's will, don't overrate Satan. Sin came from man's will. How was Satan made a king? By sin. So when we deal with sin, who have we dealt with? Satan.

John 8:31. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." They answered him, "We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?" Jesus answered them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." Free from what? Sin. So to make you free will be what? To redeem. To make you free will be redemption. To redeem from sin, to pay ransom, the word lutros, the word lutrosis, the word apolutrosis. Those are the Greek words. Lutros, lutrosis, apolutrosis, to pay a price to free a slave from the boss. To pay a price to free a slave from the boss. Question: Who is the boss of the slave? Sin. Sin is the slave. Satan is only Satan because... because of sin. The real boss is sin. The real boss is sin. Amen. And what is his judgment? Death.

So what will be the ransom for sin and death? Death. What will be the ransom for sin and death? Death. What did Jesus offer to sin and death? Death. So by death he destroyed death. Through death, he destroyed death. Through death, he rendered death useless. So hold on. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life." Wages is what you work for. Gift is what you didn't work for. What you work for, the reward was death. What you didn't work for, the reward was life. Freely given. Can you see that free things are good sometimes? How can a man work and at the end of the month his salary is death, and another man never worked and at the end of the month his gift is life? The wages of sin. So death is a payment for sin. But the gift of grace, what we never work for. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? By the law of works? Nay, but by the law of faith. Faith in Christ frees a man from sin and death. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath set me free from the law of sin and death."

I am free from sin! I am free from death! Jesus paid the ransom. He freed me from everything I owed and now I have the gift of eternal life. The life of God is at work on my inside. I enjoy the abundance of grace, the gift of righteousness. I reign over sin! I reign over death! I reign over sickness! I reign in life! Amen.

Satan is not a subject. He's not a threat, he's not a subject and he is not significant. What was significant was sin and death. And sin and death has been broken. Automatically, Satan has lost control totally. So the believer in Christ does not waste time mentioning Satan because the root that Satan used does not exist anymore where the believer is concerned.

So that's why we don't fight Satan, we fight the good fight of faith. A good fight of faith is not a fight against the devil, a good fight of faith is a faith to maintain what has been obtained. It's a fight of acknowledging. I acknowledge I am righteous. So when the devil throws condemnation to your mind, you shake it off. I acknowledge the last time I checked, I am the righteousness of God. We don't fight the devil, he is too myopic, microscopic, insignificant. We don't fight the devil, he is under our feet. We issue commands. We issue commands! We don't pray to the devil. We don't pray to the devil and we don't include Satan in our prayer. Our prayer is to God our Father. When me and my Father are fellowshipping, there is no space for the enemy. I pray to my Father. But when I finish praying to my Father and the enemy is making noise, I don't tell the Father about the enemy. I handle the enemy myself. Hey, hey, shut up, out! Hey, shut up, out! But when I talk to my Father, we discuss family business. When I come out, without the Father's help, I take care of the devil by myself.

"Behold, I give you power to trample over serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the devil and nothing shall by any means hurt you. These signs shall follow those, these signs shall follow, these signs shall follow, these signs shall follow them that believe." Where are the believers in the building? These signs shall follow. They shall follow those that believe. "In my name they shall..." He didn't say in my name they shall employ God to cast out devils. In my name they shall cast out devils.

Be sober, be vigilant. Your adversary the devil goes about like a roaring lion, like a roaring lion, seeking, seeking, seeking he doesn't have, seeking he doesn't have. Neither give place to the devil. Why? He's seeking, he's seeking whom he may devour. And if by any mistake he stumbles by your house, whom you resist steadfast, you stay in the faith and tell the devil no, you can't stay here. No parking, no waiting, no loitering. This is danger zone!

You don't call God. You resist him steadfast in the faith. You don't call God. If God has to come and be talking to Satan, you are useless. The investment of Christ is wasted on you. You resist the devil and he will flee. What is in your Bible? Resist the devil and he will flee from you. So when you say in the name of Jesus, Satan stop there, get back, what does the devil do? He stops and he gets back. Except you don't know. You resist him and he will flee. He's under your feet. He's not a prayer point.

Satan is too small for you to pray every 12 night, every 12 midnight. Say every 12 midnight, that is when the forces of darkness are in operation. Ignorance is very, very, very, very disgraceful. You forget that 12 in Nigeria is not 12 in America, is not 12 in Australia. That's the danger of lack of exposure. You forget that demons don't have time. They are spirits. You don't need a time. And you don't keep watch over Satan. No, be careful for nothing. Be careful for nothing. If you sleep without prayer, sleep well. No devil can scratch you. It's not your prayer that is keeping you, it is because you are in Christ. If any man be in Christ. The devil is a liar and his mother in law and all his demons, they are liars. They cannot touch you, they cannot hurt you, they cannot harm you, they cannot scratch you. Glory! Glory! Glory! Glory! Glory! Glory!

Somebody shout I am in authority here. Say with me I cast out devils. I heal the sick. I raise the dead. I am in authority here. And we stand in authority together, both those for those online, TV, Facebook, YouTube, wherever sickness has made noise until now. Sickness, pack your load and get out! Get out! Get out! Sick bodies be healed. Be healed. Be healed. Every unclean spirit making noise around your home, we cast it out in the name of Jesus. Enjoy the liberty you have. Enjoy health. Enjoy the peace of God. Enjoy the comfort of the Holy Ghost. Enjoy the finished work of Christ. Enjoy dominion and authority. In the name of Jesus. Those of you in need of a miracle, receive a miracle now. Receive, receive, receive, receive, receive. Receive in the name of Jesus. It is done. I said it is done. I said it is done oh! Somebody shout glory, glory, glory, glory. Guest (Male): Oh my goodness, the word of God is life. The Bible tells us the entrance of God's word giveth light and it giveth understanding to the simple. In Ephesians chapter 3 verse 3, Brother Paul speaking about the mystery of the Old Testament says, "Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ." So there is a knowledge in the mystery of Christ. The word mystery is the word musterion in the Greek. It means that which is concealed and then he says "How that by revelation". The word revelation is the word apokalupsis. It means that which is revealed. So the revelation of the scriptures unveils the mysteries. Revelation is the New Testament, mystery is the Old Testament. But it will take reading and learning to come to a place of full understanding, precise and accurate knowledge.

Brother Daniel would say, "I understood by books." So there's a place of books in equipping you soundly with the message of Christ. Brother Paul would write to Timothy, he says to Timothy, "Till I come, give attendance to reading." Jesus speaking to those Jews says, "You do err because you know not the scriptures nor the power of God." Often times Jesus will say to the Jews, "Have you not read?" is the word anaginosko in the Greek. It means, are you reading and not paying attention?
