It's been engaging and we're going to have an exciting time tonight. I didn't hear a powerful, Amen. All right, grab your Bibles. Let's go. Second Timothy, chapter 3, verse number 15 and 16. Second Timothy, chapter 3, verse 15 and 16.

Guest (Female): And that from a child, thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Dr. Abel Damina: That from a child, thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. So salvation is faith in Christ Jesus. Salvation is faith in Christ Jesus. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. So salvation is faith in what Christ has done. Believing in your heart, confessing with your mouth that God raised Jesus from the dead. You are saved. The book of Romans chapter 4, verse 25 tells us, who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification. So in the death of Jesus, the sinner was justified. And it's not of works, lest any man should boast. It is the gift. So salvation is a gift of God's grace. Salvation is a gift of God's grace. Ephesians chapter 2, verse 8. For by grace are you saved through faith. Through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. So again, salvation is a gift. Somebody paid for it. Somebody offered his life for it. The Son of Man came not to be ministered to, but to minister and give his life a ransom for many. So Jesus is the ransom for our sins. Jesus is the ransom for the sins of the whole world. So faith in Christ is faith in what Jesus has done. Again, I repeat, faith in Christ means faith in the sacrificial work of Christ. His death, his burial, his resurrection, his ascension and glorification. Now, then we began to look at a number of things that will help you see to it the character of God in the Scriptures. And we said the Scriptures must be studied in the light of Christ. And then we began to establish that the Bible is the book of Jesus. John 5:39. Jesus said, you search the Scriptures, for in them, you think you have eternal life. But they are they which testify of me. In the book of First John, chapter 5, verse 20, PJ. First John, chapter 5, verse number 20.

Guest (Female): And we know that the Son of God is come and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true. And we are in him that is true, even in his Son, Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Dr. Abel Damina: The Son of God is come and has given us an understanding. So our understanding of God is in the light of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the understanding. Jesus is the explanation. Jesus is the revelation of God. He is the understanding of God. He is, Jesus, is the character of God expressed. Jesus is the character of God expressed. Jesus carries with him the nature of God. In fact, Jesus is the logos of God. In the beginning was the word. The word, word there, is the word logos. Logos means a thought, an idea, a mindset. So Jesus is the mindset of God. Or Jesus is the thinking pattern, the thinking pattern of God. If you want to know how God thinks, look at Jesus. Jesus reveals to us the mindset of God. Jesus is God revealed. Or Jesus is God manifest. Or Jesus is God in the flesh, God in humanity. So we know that the Son of God is come and hath given us an understanding. That is, our understanding of God is in the person of Jesus Christ. Now, so we began to look at a number of things to be able to see to it God's character in the Old Testament. And we said the Old Testament, Genesis to Malachi, was written in Hebrew. And the New Testament, Matthew to Revelation, is written in the Greek. So therefore, it's critical that in understanding the Scriptures, the Bible teacher and the Bible student must have the advantage of the language. Because the audience that the scripture was communicated to is not our audience. It's not us. Therefore, you must sit where they sat, hear what they heard, and travel to our world, sit where we are now and look for verbage in our vocabulary to communicate the thoughts that were communicated when the Scriptures were given or when the Scriptures were communicated to the audience of that day. Now, yesterday, we began to look at the permissive and causative verbs. The permissive and the causative verbs in the Old Testament books of the Bible. And we looked at a number of things and I'm not going to repeat. Go get the teachings. They are there in yesterday's teaching. We looked at imperative verbs. We looked at causative, we looked at permissive. And we took time to look at a number of Scriptures highlighting how the Scriptures were communicated in Bible days. And I'm just going to proceed from where we stopped yesterday. Lamentations, chapter 2, verse number 17. Lamentations, chapter 2, verse 17. PJ, let's go.

Guest (Female): The Lord had done that which he devised. He hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old. He had thrown down and hath not pitied, and he had caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee. He had set up the horn of thine adversary.

Dr. Abel Damina: Did you hear what they just said? That the Lord had done that which he had devised. He had fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old. He has thrown down. He had not pitied. He had caused thine enemy. That word cause is where you underline. He had caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee. He had set up the horn of thine adversaries. Now, if this is God's lamentation, it therefore means it is something he was not responsible for doing. If this is God's own lamentation, it therefore means it is something he was not responsible for doing. Again, observe the word caused simply means what happened was not his action, even though it was in his knowledge. What happened was not God's action, even though it was within the confines of his knowledge. More so, the book of Proverbs will put it like this. Proverbs, the 24th chapter, the 17th verse. Proverbs, chapter 24, verse 17. PJ.

Guest (Female): Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth.

Dr. Abel Damina: Therefore, God could have not been the one rejoicing in Lamentations chapter 2, verse 17. Because he said, rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth. So God could have not been the one rejoicing. Again, it simply means what was referred to was in a permissive tense. Let's examine how that Lamentations chapter 2, verse 17 was rendered in other translations of the Bible. In the New International Version, it is put like this. He has let the enemy gloat over you. He has let the enemy gloat over you. In the New Century Version, he puts it like this. He has let your enemies laugh at you. He has let your enemies laugh at you. In the International Standard Version, he puts it like this. He let the enemy boast about you. He let the enemy boast about you. In the Contemporary English Version, he puts it like this. And let your enemies boast about their powerful voices. And let your enemies boast about their powerful voices. Then in the Holman Christian Standard Bible, he puts it like this. Letting the enemy gloat over you. Now, what does the above phrase, where we just read, mean? To ascertain the meaning, we need to look at what caused it and who carried this out. Because often times, it is an enemy army that does it. Often times, it is the enemy army that does it. And God is not the one who inspired them, which simply meant that the children of Israel put themselves in the hands of their hostile enemies. The children of Israel put themselves in the hands of their hostile enemies. Now, other text of Scripture with respect to, I will cause. I will cause, which we saw in that Lamentations chapter 2, verse 17. I will cause from the King James Version. Now, to ascertain the meaning, we need to look at what caused it and who carried it out. Like I said, often times, it is the children of Israel that put themselves in the hands of their hostile enemies. Look at other Scriptures with I will cause. Jeremiah chapter 15, verse 8. Pay attention. Jeremiah chapter 15, verse number 8.

Guest (Female): Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas. I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday. I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly and terrors upon this city.

Dr. Abel Damina: And terrors upon the city. Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas. I have brought it, I have brought upon them, against the mother of the young men, a spoiler at noonday. I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city. Other translations will put it like this. Let fall upon her suddenly. Let fall upon her suddenly. It is again a permissive tense and not a causative one. Now, look at Jeremiah chapter 17, verse 4. Jeremiah chapter 17, verse number 4.

Guest (Female): And thou, and thou, even thyself, shall discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee. And I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not.

Dr. Abel Damina: That word, just before you finish. I will cause thee to serve thine enemies. Underline, I will cause thee to serve thine enemies. Proceed, PJ, in the land.

Guest (Female): In the land which thou knowest not. For thou hast kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever.

Dr. Abel Damina: You have kindled a fire in my anger which shall burn forever. Whereas this means, I will let your enemies make you slaves. I will let. That, I will cause thee to serve thine enemies. Actually, it means, I will let your enemies make you slaves. Look at Jeremiah 19, verse, verse 9. Jeremiah chapter 19, verse number 9.

Guest (Female): And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters.

Dr. Abel Damina: Hold your fire. I will cause them. You can write that. I will cause them. Now, what it meant was, I will or it will be allowed upon you. I will or it will be allowed upon you. Now, the question therefore is this. Where does the causative action come from? Where does the causative action come from? Pay attention. It comes from the disobedience of the children of Israel. It comes from their disobedience. Because, notice Jeremiah 49:37. Jeremiah 49:37. PJ, let's go.

Guest (Female): For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies.

Dr. Abel Damina: Hold it there. I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies. It simply means, Elam will do this to you and there is nothing Israel can do about it. Elam will do this to you and there is nothing Israel can do about it. Look at Ezekiel 32, verse number 12. Ezekiel 32, verse 12.

Guest (Female): By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall.

Dr. Abel Damina: Hold it there. I will cause thy multitude to fall. It simply means, I will watch it happen. I will watch it happen. Again, these expressions are cognitive and not of volition. That is to say, it is what God saw will happen that was expressed in words. So this can safely be called the judgment of God. The judgment of God. Judgment here, please listen carefully, simply means this is what will happen if you disobey. This is what will happen if you disobey. It doesn't mean he is the one carrying it out. It doesn't mean he is the one carrying it out. It means to say to one, the punishment of disobedience. It doesn't mean he's the one who carried it out. This will be examined as we proceed. Now, Ezekiel again, 32, verse 12. Ezekiel 32:12 says, I cause thy multitude to fall. Which simply means, I will allow it to happen because there is nothing I can do. I will allow it to happen because there is nothing I can do. Ezekiel 32:32 says, I will cause my terror in the land of the living. I will cause my terror. And as a reader, you know, this is just by the side, always ask yourself while you are reading, in what tenses were these things read? Always ask yourself. We are reading, and the Lord did this. The Lord did that. In what tenses were these things read? In Ezekiel 36:15. Ezekiel 36:15, he says, I cause men to hear indeed the shame of the hidden. I cause men to hear indeed the shame of the hidden anymore. Whereas it simply means, I will watch it happen, not because I want it to happen. But because there is nothing I can do about it. Now, let's examine that Genesis, where we were yesterday, chapter 2, verse 16 and 17. Genesis, chapter 2, verse 16 and 17. PJ.

Guest (Female): And the Lord God commanded the man saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it. For in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shall surely die.

Dr. Abel Damina: For in the day, take note of that. If your Bible was mine, I will underline that. In the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shall surely die. In the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shall surely die. Let's examine two early books of the Bible. Let's do some little work in the book of Genesis and in the book of Job. J.O.B, Job. Genesis chapter 3, from verse 1. Genesis chapter 3. PJ, let's go from verse 1.

Guest (Female): Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not surely die.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Dr. Abel Damina: Now, look at verse 7, verse 7, 8, and 9. Genesis 3:7, 8, and 9.

Guest (Female): And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

Dr. Abel Damina: Verse 9.

Guest (Female): And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

Dr. Abel Damina: Adam, where are thou? Okay. Look at Job chapter 1, verse 6 to 12. Please pay attention. Job chapter 1, verse 6 to 12. PJ.

Guest (Female): Now there was a day when the sons of God came to came to present themselves before the Lord. And Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the Lord and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Dr. Abel Damina: 10.

Guest (Female): Has not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Dr. Abel Damina: 11.

Guest (Female): But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Dr. Abel Damina: 12.

Guest (Female): And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power. Only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.

Dr. Abel Damina: Now, Satan in these two accounts, both the account of Genesis 3 and the account of Job 1, if you observe, God was never taught to not be omnipresent or to always be found interfering in the affairs of men in both instances. In both scenarios, Satan was taught as been actively present at the scene, actively present. It can also not be said that God's inactions or God's non-actions. God's inactions or God's non-action or God's non-intervention was because he was angry. Because God's character is consistent, very consistent. In that, he gives his judgment about sin within the confines of his love. God's character is consistent. Every time he judges sin, he judges sin within the confines of his love. Now, there are a few other things to note. God forsaw the occurrence in Genesis 3. But was not the one responsible for making it happen. He forsaw, but he was not responsible for making it happen. His response to such occurrences and actions towards evil is that he can only lament. He can only lament. He cannot stop man from sin, even though he can rescue man from it. He can't stop man, even though he can rescue man from it. So we see God lamenting as though he is helpless because he is not allowed legal access to intervene. In Genesis chapter 2 and 3, you will see that there's a replay, there's a replay there throughout Scriptures, explaining to the reader where God is presently absent. God is active or God is inactive in those activities. Both in the activities of Job and in the activities of Eden, God was inactive, which therefore explains the wrath of God. Again, it explains the wrath of God. Notice that the moment there is disobedience on the scene, the moment there is disobedience, God says, don't and you do. The moment that happens, what we have will no more be causative. Once there's disobedience, what we have will no more be causative, but permissive. Invariably, obeying God protects. Obeying God protects. Disobeying God brings his wrath. Obeying God protects. Disobeying God makes God inactive, and the inactivity of God, men call it the wrath of God. The wrath means God could not protect. In Deuteronomy chapter 32, verse 16 to 19, in fact, to 20. PJ. Deuteronomy 32:16 to 20.

Guest (Female): They provoke him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

Dr. Abel Damina: 17.

Guest (Female): They sacrificed unto devils, not to God, to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

Dr. Abel Damina: 18.

Guest (Female): Of the rock that begat thee, thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

Dr. Abel Damina: 19.

Guest (Female): And when the Lord saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons and of his daughters.

Dr. Abel Damina: 20.

Guest (Female): And he said, I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end shall be. For they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

Dr. Abel Damina: For they are a very froward generation, children in whom there is no faith. These are two either Hebrew words, which in some contexts are expressed as permissive verbs, in some contexts. There are two other Hebrew words, which in some context are expressed as permissive verbs. The word Natan. Natan. N.A.T.H.A.N. N.A.T.H.A.N. And Shalak. Shalak. S.H.A.L.A.K.H. Natan and Shalak. Now, let's observe some text where these words were referenced. Exodus, the 12th chapter, the 23rd verse. PJ. Exodus 12:23.

Guest (Female): For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians. And when he seeth the blood upon the lintel and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Dr. Abel Damina: That word suffer. The Lord will suffer. Okay. Suffer. And will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. The word suffer was translated from the Hebrew word Natan, N.A.T.H.A.N. It means to give. It means to allow. It means to let. And you will see where it is applied or referenced in Exodus, the third chapter, the 19th verse. Exodus, chapter 3, verse 19. PJ.

Guest (Female): And I am sure that the King of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

Dr. Abel Damina: He will not let you go. That let you go there, is the word Natan. Then Exodus 23:31. Exodus 23:31.

Guest (Female): And I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river. For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and thou shall drive them out before thee.

Dr. Abel Damina: Again, for I will is Natan. Look at Esther, the 9th chapter, the 13th verse. Esther, the 9th chapter, the 13th verse. PJ.

Guest (Female): Then said Esther, if it please the King, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according on the unto this day's decree.

Dr. Abel Damina: The word, let it, sorry, the word let it be granted to the Jews. Then look at Psalm 61, verse, verse 5. Psalm 61, verse number 5. PJ.

Guest (Female): For thou, oh God, hast heard my vows. Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Dr. Abel Damina: The word thou hast given me. Thou hast given me. Now, if you observe from these Scriptures, we read, it was translated as to give. Or to grant, or to offer. To give, to grant, or to offer. These words or verbs were applied in permissive tenses. Now, observe an instance when the word Natan was referenced in First Kings. PJ. First Kings 22:20-23. Pay attention. First Kings 22:20-23.

Guest (Female): And the Lord said, who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shall persuade him, and prevail also. Go forth, and do so.

Dr. Abel Damina: So now, read verse 23 for me.

Guest (Female): Now, therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets. And the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Dr. Abel Damina: Question. Was the lying spirit from God? Well, this can be answered by reading the entire narrative, the entire narrative. Look at that First Kings again, 22. PJ, read verse 7 and 8. 22:7 and 8.

Guest (Female): And Jehosaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might inquire of him?

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And the King of Israel said unto Jehosaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah, the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord. But I hate him, for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehosaphat said, Let not the King say so.

Dr. Abel Damina: Now jump to verse 14 and 15.

Guest (Female): And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, what the Lord saith unto me, that will I speak.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): So he came to the King, and the King said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper. For the Lord shall deliver it unto the hand of the King.

Dr. Abel Damina: So that word, the Lord shall put was translated from the Hebrew word Natan, which implies to allow, to do nothing about it. The Lord will do nothing about it. Which implies that First Kings 22:23 is better understood as, I will give over. I will do nothing about a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets. I will give over. I will do nothing about a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets. When a lying spirit is seen in their mouth, it means I was not a part of it. When a lying spirit is seen in the mouth of these prophets, it means I was not a part of it. Which means that God was not involved in the lying spirit being in their mouth by not heeding to the truth spoken by Micaiah, the prophet. So since they didn't listen or heed the truth that is spoken by Micaiah, the prophet, they yielded to the lying spirit. They yielded to the lying spirit. And God gave them over. He did nothing about the lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets. Now, other examples of that word Natan as permissive verb will be Jeremiah 22:25. PJ. Jeremiah 22:25. Pay attention.

Guest (Female): And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Dr. Abel Damina: I will give thee into the hand. Observe the word, I will give. Then Ezekiel 20:24. PJ. Ezekiel, chapter 20, verse number 24. Pay attention.

Guest (Female): Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their father's idols.

Dr. Abel Damina: 25.

Guest (Female): Wherefore, I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live.

Dr. Abel Damina: So the question now will be, how can statutes that are not good come from God? Because he says, wherefore, I give them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live. So how can statutes that are not good come from God? Now observe what was written in Psalm 19, verse 8. Psalm 19, verse number 8. PJ.

Guest (Female): The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Dr. Abel Damina: The commandment of the Lord is pure. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. So the seeming contradiction therefore is as a result of the grammar applied. The grammar that was used there, whereby, I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should live. Now, looking at God's character in Psalm 19, verse 8, the seeming contradiction therefore, is as a result of the grammar. The word gave was translated from the Hebrew word Natan, which means to allow. This means, in those Scriptures we read, the seeming contradiction was a result of the permissive tenses used by the writer, permissive tenses. Now look at Psalm 81, verse 9 to 11. PJ. Psalm 81:9-11.

Guest (Female): There shall no strange god be in thee, neither shall thou worship any strange god. I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt. Open thy mouth wide and I will fit. But my people would not hearken to my voice, and Israel would none of me.

Dr. Abel Damina: Verse 12.

Guest (Female): So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lusts, and they walked in their own counsels.

Dr. Abel Damina: 13.

Guest (Female): Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways.

Dr. Abel Damina: 14.

Guest (Female): I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

Dr. Abel Damina: 15.

Guest (Female): The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him, but their time should have endured forever.

Dr. Abel Damina: 16.

Guest (Female): He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat, and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

Dr. Abel Damina: So they did not hearken to God's voice. They didn't hearken. This was disobedience. A rejection of God's promise. So the result of this disobedience, or the result of this rejection of God's promise was a result of man's actions. So, there were consequences of the disobedience to God's message. There were consequences. Look at Ezekiel, the 20th chapter, the 21st to the 22nd verse. A lot of Scriptures, good for your saintly dignity. PJ, let's go.

Guest (Female): Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against me. They walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them. They polluted my Sabbaths. Then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): Nevertheless, I withdrew mine hand and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

Dr. Abel Damina: Therefore, the word Natan, in certain contexts, where it was applied as a permissive verb, was referenced to show the consequences of man's actions. The outcome of man's actions. Man's disobedience or man's disobedience to God's promise. So, the destruction in Exodus 12 was not God's action, but as a result of their disobedience. In Exodus chapter 12, and we shall look at it right now. Exodus 12:23. PJ. Exodus 12:23.

Guest (Female): For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians. And when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Dr. Abel Damina: The word suffer the destroyer. This was the Passover, right? Suffer the destroyer, translated from the Hebrew word Natan, which means that the destroyer was prevented due to the fact that they heeded to God's word. The destroyer was prevented because they obeyed God's word. Those who put the blood on their doorposts believed God will protect them from the destroyer. So what Moses was teaching by using the word Natan was to show the consequence of their action, which was obedience or faith in God's promise. Those who obeyed and expressed faith in God's promise were protected. Now, a similar word to the Hebrew word is the word Shalak. Shalak. S.H.A.L.A.K.H. S.H.A.L.A.K.H. Is that tedious? It is to understand doctrine, right? Then when we now finally teach properly, Captain Killer. See your mouth. See your mouth like heresy. When you see people like us take a position in Scripture, know that we have done our background work. We're only announcing to you the outcome, just to help you. But if you say our mouth is smelling, then come, let's do the detailed work together. Let's see how you can patiently endure hours of tediously examining biblical concepts to arrive at that summary that we gave you. So in recent times, I've decided not to be giving the summary. To take everybody through the rigor. And if you are too lazy to come, you are not fit for it. Someone says, Dr. Damina, what's the meaning of this Scripture? Oh, there's Soteria Season 4. It's 40 hours. Go and listen. Go and listen. If you're really serious about knowing something, you should know it well. So instead of saying, this is the answer. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. You will not value it. Let's go and travel together and see how we arrived at the answer. You will not even have strength to say heresy. You will be so tired, you will just be saying, yes. Yes, it's true. It's true. Whether you understand it or not, because to have traveled the way we are traveling, it must be true. Yes, it is true. Yes, sir. It is correct. Karigo. Let me rest. He says, no, we still have one hour. Because we have to. No, no, no, I agree. No, you never agree. We have to see it together. That's why he says, the labor where? In word and what? Doctrine. The Lord of labor. But at the end of the day, it equips you to be confident in your knowledge and relationship with God Almighty. How many of you agree with that? Can I have a powerful, Amen. All right, so let's look at that word Shalak, which implies to send. Shalak. To send. It means to send away or to let go. Or to give up or to allow. The word Shalak. To send away, to let go. To give up or to allow. Look at Psalm 81, verse 12. PJ. Let's see the application of the word Shalak. Psalm 81, verse 12.

Guest (Female): So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lusts, and they walked in their own counsels.

Dr. Abel Damina: The phrase, I gave them up is translated from the Hebrew word Shalak. It is an occasion of effect, not cause. It is the same word that was used by Noah in Genesis 8, verse 7 and 8. Genesis, chapter 8, verse 7 and 8. PJ.

Guest (Female): And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground.

Dr. Abel Damina: So that word, he sent, means he allowed. Shalak. He sent, he sent forth a raven. Also he sent forth a dove. The sent there is the word Shalak, which means to allow. Similarly, the curses of the law were effects of disobedience. So the overwhelming reference to the clause, if thou will not hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, in Deuteronomy 28:15. Deuteronomy 28:20-25. In fact, look at the way he says in Deuteronomy 28:15. If thou it shall come to pass, if thou will not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes, which are commanded this day, that all these curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee. Then 28:20-25, it is still the same thing. Now, the phrase, whereby you have forsaken me. In Deuteronomy 28:20. PJ, read that 20 so that I can give it a lot of explanation. Deuteronomy 28, verse number 20.

Guest (Female): The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

Dr. Abel Damina: Whereby thou hast forsaken me. He will not be able to help because they have rejected his help. How? By forsaking him. Therefore, the curses are effects of forsaking God. Effects. It's not God causing people. He's only stating to them, this will be the outcome of your forsaking God. The outcome of it. And because God was watching when all these things happened, so they blamed God for making it happen. They call it the wrath of God, which is man-made. But rather, it was just their disobedience which locked God out from intervening in their circumstances. So the word send is not literal. The Lord shall send is not literal. It is a permissive tense, which means to allow, to give up or to let go. To allow, to give up or to let go. Now, Second Kings, chapter 17, verse 25 and 26. Another intriguing Scripture. Second Kings 17:25 and 26. PJ.

Guest (Female): And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the Lord. Therefore, the Lord sent lions among them, which slew some of them.

Dr. Abel Damina: Verse 26.

Guest (Female): Wherefore, they speak to the King of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land. Therefore, he hath sent lions among them, and behold, they shall they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.

Dr. Abel Damina: That term, sent lions, showed what happened as a result of their actions. They feared not the Lord. Then there's another phrase, know the manner of God, which implies they did not know his power. They did not know his power. And this is very clear. From Ezekiel 34:25. Ezekiel 34:25. PJ.

Guest (Female): And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing. And I will cause the shower to come down in his season. There shall be showers of blessing.

Dr. Abel Damina: 27.

Guest (Female): And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord. When I have broken the bonds of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that serve themselves.

Dr. Abel Damina: 28.

Guest (Female): And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beasts of the land devour them. But they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.

Dr. Abel Damina: Underline, neither, underline, neither shall the beast of the land devour them. If you observe, God gave a promise of protection that they will dwell in safety and not be destroyed or devoured by the beast of the land. All right. Now, another instance, which is important here, is Second Chronicles chapter 36, verse 15 to 17. Second Chronicles, chapter 36, verse 15 to 17.

Guest (Female): And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

Dr. Abel Damina: 17.

Guest (Female): Therefore, he brought upon them the King of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man or him that stooped for age. He gave them all into his hand.

Dr. Abel Damina: If you observe, God wanted to help them by sending his messenger. But they despised and mocked his messenger. You see that? So, the effect of verse 15 and 16 is verse 17. Therefore, he brought upon them the King of the Chaldees, who slew their young men. That's the effect of them mocking, despising, and rejecting God's messenger. So that phrase, brought upon, is another example of a permissive verb. So, how did this happen? It happened by God's inability to help. God's inability. Not as though he was unable, but they didn't give him the permission to get involved by them complying with his instruction. So they made him unable to help them. They hindered God from helping them. It can be said that he did not choose not to. And this was not because of vengeance, either. He could not because his help had been rejected. God wants to help and you say no. God will fold his hand and just stand aside and watch. He's not going to, he's not going to come in like a witch and force you to do what you don't want to do. Love does not insist on his own. Love will let you have your way. And that is the character of God all through Scripture. How many of you have seen what we're dealing with here? That's been the character. God never imposes himself on anybody. He will tell you, this, this, this. You say no. Then he will tell you, this will be the outcome in some instances. And in other instances, when you say no, he will even tell you what to be the outcome, because for you to say no, means you have made up your mind that whatever the outcome is, you like it like that. All right. So God is not going to force. But because language was employed in the communication, human language, Hebraism, we have to understand how Hebraism uses tenses, verbs, figures of speech within the language, within the culture to communicate God's thoughts. It is that understanding that now helps us to see that when they say the anger of God, is not as though God was angry. It is when they saw the outcome of their situation, and God did not intervene. They concluded that that lack of intervention is God's anger. As though God is angry, even though God was not angry, but it was their rejection to cooperate with God that limited God's hands from intervening. It's just like Genesis 3. The day you eat, you shall surely die. Adam, don't. Adam said, yes, sir. And then God is watching. Adam goes with Eve. They take, they eat. God is watching. God could have said, Adam, Adam, wait, wait, wait. Didn't you remember what I told you? No, that will be manipulating him. God just said, all right, I gave you clear instructions. You, you, you understood what I said. If your choice now is not to heed to me, I can do nothing about it. So Adam, eats. After he has eaten, he realizes he's naked. Eve is naked. They run into the bush. They take the leaves and cover themselves. They are hiding in shame. Then God says, Adam, as though he's not aware. Where are thou? Adam, as if he didn't know where Adam was. Adam say, I'm naked. Who told you? He's trying to make Adam realize that this is where you are. And you have communicated with somebody you shouldn't have communicated with. And where you are now, is the outcome of your disobedience. That's what God did. And the only part God played there, the only part. See, and that's been the character of God, honey, from the day, from the beginning. Look at God. He sees these people, languishing in shame. Even though they disobeyed him, they rebelled against him, they rejected his offer. He still took the skin of an animal and covered their nakedness. He didn't abandon them in the hands of the leaves. Even though they said no to him, he still showed some level of empathy. He came close. He covered their nakedness. Then he put a flaming sword of fire that was pointing to the way of life. Pointing man that, look, even though you have derailed and things are happening with you, you are having consequences, there's a way of escape. That's not a God who is angry. That's not a God who is angry. And even today, when people reject the gospel, God still sends us to them. We still come with the gospel. God loves you. He said, get out. I have been hearing this since I was born. Another preacher will come, God loves you. That's still God reaching out. But God is not going to say you must take it by force. He's only going to appeal. And if you say no, he's going to let you have your way. I'm teaching good here. Now, that is the character of God. Let's examine another Scripture quickly before we close. Are you getting blessed in this service? Revelation, the third chapter, the fifth verse. PJ. Revelation, chapter 3, verse number 5.

Guest (Female): He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment. And I will not blot out his name out of the book of life.

Dr. Abel Damina: I will not blot out his name out of PJ, hold on, out of the Book of Life. Read on, PJ.

Guest (Female): But I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

Dr. Abel Damina: I will not blot out. He that overcometh, he that overcometh. The first time the word, book was mentioned is in Genesis. The book, okay. And then Revelation took it further, book of life. But the first mention was the word, book. Sefar in the Hebrew, or biblio. Bible. All right. Look at Exodus, the 32nd chapter, the 9th verse. Exodus 32, verse 9.

Guest (Female): And the Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and behold, it is a stiffnecked people.

Dr. Abel Damina: They are a stiffnecked people. Okay. Look at Exodus 32:30-33. Exodus 32:30-33.

Guest (Female): And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin. And now I will go up unto the Lord, peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people has sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin, and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book, which thou hast written.

Dr. Abel Damina: Did you see where Moses is telling God, remove my name? Forgive this people or remove my name. From the book you have written. Moses is requesting for his name to be removed. Someone say, can I lose salvation? Is it your salvation? You can't lose what is not yours. Blot out my name from the Book of Life, if you will not forgive them. Look at the next verse, PJ.

Guest (Female): And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Dr. Abel Damina: Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. You, Moses, I have no reason to remove your name. Whosoever has sinned. The sin there will be whosoever has rejected my offer of life. Okay. Hold on. Blot out implies that it was there. So everybody's name is in the Book of Life. Including those who have not believed the gospel. The death of Jesus put everybody's name in the Book of Life. But when we preach and you reject the gospel and you reject the gospel and you reject the gospel and you die without Christ, then your name is removed. God is a God of faith. It is when you reject the gospel that your name is deleted. But even not when you say, I preach to you. You say, come on, get out of my house. Which kind God? I don't believe in God. Your name will not be removed. God is still believing that before you die, you will make a turn around. It's only when you die or the trumpet sounds and you have not accepted the gospel, it is at that point that names are deleted. Did you observe what God said to Moses? Let's read it again. Exodus 32:30-33. Pay attention, PJ. Read 30 for me.

Guest (Female): Yet now, if thou will forgive their sin, and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book, which thou hast written.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse, observe.

Guest (Female): And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Dr. Abel Damina: Whosoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Whosoever has sinned. Him will I blot. He didn't say whosoever believed, him will I write his name. The names are already written. So anyone that does not believe and it expires, his name is removed. I'm teaching good. So when Moses said, remove my name. He said, I have no reason to remove your name. You have believed. It is only he that has sinned. Him will I blot out of my book. Whosoever has sinned, which sin? The sin of rejecting my promise of salvation. And not even one rejection. You can reject for 30 years of your life. And one day to die, in fact, one minute to die, you accept the gospel. Your name remains there. Isn't that some great love from God? Some great love, some great love. Now, look at verse 33 and 34. It shows how Moses interceded for these people. Because if there is an intercessor, a man's name will not be removed from that book. If there is an atonement for sin, that name will not be removed. Because whatever Moses offered was temporary. What will make a man's name to be blotted out is sin, and it can be delayed by interceding. Look at Hebrews 10:1-4. Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 1-4. PJ.

Guest (Female): For the law, having the shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices, which they offered year by year, continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): But in those sacrifices, there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

Dr. Abel Damina: So since the blood of bulls and goats could not take away sin, only the sacrifice of Jesus took away sins forever. Look at verse 6 and 7 of that Hebrews, chapter 10.

Guest (Female): In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, thou hast had no pleasure.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): Then said I, Lo, I come in the volume of the book. It is written of me, to do thy will, oh God.

Dr. Damina: I come in the volume of the book to do thy will. Now here is not referring to the Scriptures. Look at Psalm 139, verse 14 to 16. Psalm 139, verse 14 to 16. PJ.

Guest (Female): I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvellous are thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Dr. Abel Damina: Curiously wrought in the lowest part of the earth. Next verse.

Guest (Female): Thine eyes did see my substance, yet, being unperfect. And in thy book, all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Dr. Abel Damina: Before I was born, my name was written in your book. Because the lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. I'm teaching good. It gives you an idea that the book is a book for humanity. So before he was formed, there was a book. Book of life was mentioned once in the epistles. Philippians, the fourth chapter, the third verse. Pay attention. Philippians, chapter 4, verse 3. PJ.

Guest (Female): And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Dr. Abel Damina: Whose names are in the Book of Life. Luke, the 10th chapter, the 17th verse. Luke, chapter 10, verse 17.

Guest (Female): And the 70 returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): Behold, I give unto you, power to tread on serpents and scorpions. I give unto you, power to tread on serpents and scorpions. And over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Dr. Abel Damina: Next verse.

Guest (Female): Notwithstanding, in this, rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you. But rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

Dr. Abel Damina: Your names are written where? It didn't say, I have written your name. Rejoice because your names are written in heaven. Are you following the narrative? We started from the Old Testament. Now, stay with me. Look at again, names are written in heaven is an Ahori statement. Ahori. A.O.R.I.S.T. Ahori statement is a statement that is made as if it has happened even before it happened. Now, look at Hebrews 12:23. Hebrews, chapter 12, verse number 23. PJ.

Guest (Female): To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, unto God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.

Dr. Abel Damina: Which are written in heaven. The general assembly and the church of the firstborn, which are written. Now that deals with the intercessory works of Jesus. And in Revelation, where we read, it shows that men's names are blotted out because of sins. Now, intercession there. The intercessory ministry of Jesus means that the book written in heaven is based on the sacrificial work of Christ. The sacrificial work of Christ. Look at Revelation 13, verse 8. Revelation, chapter 13, verse number 8.

Guest (Female): And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Dr. Abel Damina: Whose name, whose names are not written. Now, the proper translation is, whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, from the Lamb that was slain. Which means the book belongs to the Lamb. The book belongs to the intercessory work of Christ. Is the book of the Lamb. That's why the Bible tells us, for as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, such as silver and gold, but by the precious blood of Jesus, as of a lamb without blemish. Because the lamb was foreordained to intercede for man. So, the man whose name is blotted is the man who has no intercessor. And Jesus is our intercessor. So, the Book of Life is the book of Jesus and his relationship with the sinner. And his relationship with the sinner. Now, there are books. It's not just one book. There are books. One is a book of works. And one is the Book of Life. A book of works and a Book of Life. The Book of Life is the book of the intercessory work of Jesus, which was preordained before the foundation of the world. And it appears from all we have read in Scripture, children, before they are accountable, are interceded for. I show you that the other day. Children, before they are accountable, they are interceded for. So children, children before they are accountable, they are with Jesus. If children die before they are accountable, they go back to Jesus, even if their parents were native doctors. Because there's compassion with justice. Jesus said, suffer the little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of God. When David's child died, David was praying and crying. And he said, oh God, I know that he shall not come back to me, but I will go and meet him where he is. So David in the Old Testament knew that his little child, his baby that died, went to be with Jesus. And one day he will meet the child. There's compassion with justice. And I showed you from the book of Romans the other day. Romans chapter 7, verse 9, as I close. Romans, chapter 7, verse 9. For I was alive without the law once. But when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. When was that once when you were alive? As a child. When you got to the age of accountability, and you knew the difference between right and wrong, and you didn't receive the gospel at that moment, you died. Then now you need the gospel to be born again. There's compassion with justice. The redemptive work of Christ is eternal. And what he did is eternal. And all a man is required to do is to receive. And I have news for you, you have received. Amen. Are you blessed tonight? A lot of thinking, a lot of reading, a lot of meditation, but a lot of clarity also. God is not the culprit. God is not the one doing evil and then turn around to look like a good boy. No, God is always good. It's only when men reject God's offer, then God is limited from intervening on their behalf. But whosoever, whosoever, whosoever believe shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Whosoever means anybody. Amen. I said, amen. The word of God cannot be broken. Jesus died, salvation has been made available, and we will not stop preaching because even if they reject it today, they will hear it tomorrow. The word of God is incorruptible. Amen. Anybody saved and blessed here? Say with me, I am saved. And I am growing. Every day in the knowledge of the character of my Father. Stand on your feet and turn to your neighbor. Say, hey, neighbor.

Congregation: Hey, neighbor.

Dr. Abel Damina: I know the character of my Father. His character is consistent. From the beginning to the end, he never changes. He is the same. There's no evil in God. He has never done evil. He does not know evil. He is good. All the time. Always good. Totally good. That's my Father. Glory to God. There is no death in him. He has never killed. He never kills. He will never kill. That's my Father. My Father is not a killer. He's not a murderer. I heard there was a pastor of one church. They were calling him Captain Killer. Because he had a Ph.D. in killing people. So his members nicknamed him Captain Killer. And he died. Captain Killer died. What killed Captain Killer? The death that Captain Killer has been calling all his life, finally teamed up and took him. Captain Killer was gone. Because God is not a killer. God is a giver of life. Say with me, my Father's character is consistent. He doesn't have dual character. He doesn't, he doesn't have a mental case. He's not a double personality. He's a consistent person. He only has one side. There's nothing like the other side. The only side of God is Jesus Christ. Glory to God. He that has seen me, that's the only side of God. Jesus is the face of God, and Jesus is the only side of God. Whatever you see in Jesus, is what you see in the Father. He went about doing good, the Father does good. He went about healing the sick, the Father heals. He died to save, the Father is a savior. He loves man, the Father is a lover. Even at the point of death, he said, Father, forgive them. They know not what they are doing. Which means, God, even at the worst case, the only thing that comes out of him is forgiveness. Glory to God. Father, I pray for everybody, under the sound of my voice, in this service, online, on television, radio, that this revelation grows big and your confidence is built and established in God's faithfulness, in the name of Jesus. Barriers collapse. Obstacles are removed. Limitations are terminated. And above all, we declare that your people are so empowered and enforced in these realities that the devil will be given a run for it, in the name of Jesus. We preach this gospel, and we represent the truth that is in Christ Jesus. And I declare tonight that the communication of our faith is becoming effectual. As we continue to acknowledge, every good thing that is in us, in Christ Jesus. And I give you praise for the blessing, in Jesus' name we pray. And every believer says that, Amen, on a note of celebration. Well, go ahead and celebrate an understanding of the character of your Father. Is that a celebration or is that a whale? Glory to God. Glory to God. Hallelujah! He said, we have come and we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God loves me, and God loves all of us. Glory to God. Grab your honor offerings tonight. Let's give before we join Mr. Michael Bush for ask the counselor now. Glory to God. Online, the banking details are scrolling and on television, the banking details are there. Everybody, grab your offerings. Let's give tonight. Father, we rejoice that in our giving, you are glorified. In our giving, you have pleasure because through our giving, we are cutting short the days of Jesus on the earth. So we give you praise and glory. And we thank you, Lord, that your word continues to go forth to the nations of the earth. And that every need is met supernaturally. In Jesus' name, we pray. And every believer says a powerful, Amen. I didn't hear that amen at all. Glory to God. I said, glory to God. Oh, my goodness. The word of God is life. The Bible tells us, the entrance of God's word give it light, and it give it understanding to the simple. As you keep listening, the light of God's word rises out of the rightly divided word of truth, illuminates your mind, illuminates your heart, and brings you face to face with your realities in Christ Jesus. In Ephesians chapter 3, verse 3, brother Paul, speaking about the mystery, the Old Testament. He said, whereby, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ. So there is a knowledge in the mystery of Christ. The word mystery is the word Mysterion in the Greek. It means that which is concealed. And then he says, how that by revelation, the word revelation is the word apocalypsis. It means that which is revealed. So the revelation of the Scriptures unveils the mysteries. Revelation is the New Testament, mystery is the Old Testament. But it will take reading and learning to come to a place of full understanding, precise and accurate knowledge. Brother Daniel will say, I understood by books. So there's a place of books in equipping you soundly with the message of Christ. Brother Paul will write to Timothy, he says, to Timothy, till I come, give attendance to reading. Jesus speaking to those Jews says, you do err because you know not the Scriptures, nor the power of God. Often times, Jesus will say to the Jews, have you not read? Is the word anaginosko in the Greek. It means, are you reading and not paying attention? I want to quickly recommend for you a plethora of books I have written. They are written with an intent to bring you doctrinal clarity, answer your questions doctrinally, and bring you to a place of accurate understanding, a precise knowledge of Christ and you in Christ.
