A Calculated Assault Against Cancer | Pastor Shane Idleman
Shane Idleman: Be careful of those things. Quick, quick. I've been seeing ads. Quick, it's hidden until now. Here is the magic solution. Be careful. Lord, what are you teaching me? What are you showing me?
I'm ready to get controversial if you are. Okay, hold on, buckle up. A lot of prayer into this stuff, a lot of research. I'm not just throwing this together. But let's throw up the two big ones. Ivermectin and Fenbendazole. Let me say up front, as far as I know, and I know people won't like this, but I've looked under microscopes, I've seen things, and cancer is not a parasite.

And now, from Westside Christian Fellowship in Leona Valley, California, here is Pastor Shane Idleman.
Shane Idleman: I was actually in Psalm 104 this week, and I'm going to get to it hopefully in a minute, but God just kind of radically changed course. The information I want to share with you is so important for a couple of reasons. I don't think I can get through it all this Wednesday, so it might be a part two because I don't want to rush it. But also, the ending is so important where we worship and we get our focus back on God.
My wife made a good point. She's with the kids right now. I'm not going to talk about this much anymore, meaning my diagnosis. I'm still going to talk about helping people, and so that's where this really came from. On this journey of putting this booklet together, I was getting very angry and frustrated because I would talk to very good doctors and oncologists as well, who would tell me, "Yes, that works, but I can't share it or I'll lose my license."
People who can get help are not getting help. And so I want to be that voice because I don't have a license to lose. I want to be that voice. I want to help people in their journey because it's so important how we steward our health. It's vastly important because it affects everything we do as believers. In Acts, I'm actually talking about this on Sunday, it says, "And they were fasting and ministering to the Lord."
What is ministering to the Lord? I did a deep-dive study into that a little bit with the Hebrew and the Greek. It's not only serving the Lord, but it's also serving others. It can be taking care of your temple as well. It's everything. You're ministering unto the Lord, taking care of your temple, helping others, and being a very productive Christian. So I started to research a lot of things just to help people because there's a lot of confusion.
I was not prepared for the fear-driven medical industry. I should say this: we have doctors here and oncologists here. I've got good friends that I talk to often, so we love medical professionals. We need them. But there is a segment of the medical industry that is fear-driven. I don't know if it's money or power, but there's a fear of pushing and not really knowing what the body really needs from time to time.
One doctor that I respect highly said, "Shane, it's because they don't know what they don't know." A lot of them are not studying or they are not up to speed. Just to give you an idea, without mentioning names or situations, one of the doctors I was seeing recommended conventional therapy and talked about radiation and chemotherapy. He mentioned USC with surgery.
I asked him, "Have you looked into Valter Longo's studies there at USC? He's a professor of longevity. I'm assuming you know about this guy." He had no clue. He asked, "What does he teach?" He teaches how fasting can strengthen our immune response and strengthen our cells while you're doing chemotherapy. It's just amazing that they're not even open to how the body works.
What I found out is, and again, I'm not against any type of system that works. People take their issues to the Lord, and the Lord directs them however He does. As a pastor, I've pastored people through this season many different times. Many have been healed conventionally. Many of you sitting here have used alternatives. Many have been healed and they don't even know how they were healed. I've seen God take some wonderful saints home.
I'm not naive or biased to a certain view, but I think people need to know. When I started to dig, people would say they can't say anything because of big pharma or the medical industry. I started to study medical journals from Stanford and PubMed. They would say, "Yes, this works as long as you do the conventional." Wait a minute. They have research that shows this works, but still, they're pushing that agenda.
Obviously, many of you know this. I don't know why God threw me into this. I did not choose it, and I don't want to talk about it, but there's so much confirmation. It would take a whole sermon to give you the confirmation on this. There's really three main things that I'm going to center this around. There's chemotherapy, there's immunotherapy, and there's alternate therapy.
Chemotherapy is pretty clear. Chemo-chemical. They found it back in World War I with mustard gas. It's a chemical. Of course, it's been developed more. It's not mustard gas anymore. It's targeted. There's different types of chemotherapies. Even alternative places recommend targeted treatments depending on what kind it is—a pill, a shot, or intravenous. There are so many different rabbit holes we could go down.
What it does, even oncologists will tell you, is it's designed to go after the cancer cells—mainly cells that are rapidly dividing and multiplying. That's why you lose hair, because your follicles are fast-growing cells. Your digestive system and your bone marrow are also affected. It does go after healthy cells as well. That's just common knowledge.
The goal really reminded me of D-Day, where we lose thousands and thousands of young men's lives on the battlefield, but there was victory eventually over Germany. That's kind of what chemotherapy is. It's targeted. Many of you here are doing it. I'm not against it. I'm just trying to educate so people have all the information. But it does wear down your natural immunity. You need to know that.
Then you get into immunotherapy. That's a whole different thing where they try to use your immune system to fight against cancer. There are cancer vaccines where they'll take a mutation of the cancer and form a vaccine. There are genetically modified cells and cytokines. They're trying these different things. Many of you know Russell, who was a good friend of mine who passed away about a year and a half ago. He was on this course. There are still some complications there, but that's one avenue.
Then there are alternatives. The best way I can explain alternatives is that they supercharge or boost your natural immunity. They don't drop the men off on the shores of Normandy. They take the B-2 stealth bomber way up there where nobody can reach them and they drop the bombs so the loss or casualty of the good cells is minimized. They actually come alongside and help the good cells.
Now, there's nothing that works 100%. Nothing is bulletproof. God has been showing me that. If you start to trust in something, God will pull the rug right out from under you. One perfect example is that I've taught and I've believed in autophagy. When you fast, your body self-consumes bad proteins, cancer cells, and tumors. I talked to Alan Goldhamer up at TrueNorth. In his fasting clinic, he's seen lymphoma reversed.
But there are other cancers where that will not work. If you do a deep dive, you find that some cancer is tricky. It can use autophagy to protect itself. There goes that silver bullet. No matter what you try, sometimes doctors say, "There's nothing else I can do for you," because we threw everything at it and we're at a loss. I've had my neighbor, a good friend of our family, lose her fight with inoperable ovarian cancer three years ago.
I've lived in this scope, so I'm not naive. I know that you can't just do one thing. As of today, I must have had eight different texts of things I should try in one day, with videos to watch and things to read. I get it. I know there's a lot of things out there. But that's what alternatives are. It's not pie in the sky. It's not, "Take some lemon and rub it on your arm and hope it works." It's, "How can I boost my natural immunity?"
Your T-cells, your bone marrow, and all these God-given things are designed to actually fight disease. Cancer is interesting because, going back to my study with the National Academy of Sports Medicine years ago, I'm fascinated by the cell. How can people believe in evolution? The cell is so complex. If you just study DNA sequencing, genetics, lysosome, apoptosis, the mitochondria, and the plasma, it's mind-blowing.
Cancer basically involves cells that begin to mutate, and something called apoptosis does not occur. Apoptosis is cellular suicide. The cell just keeps growing and it signals certain things. It gets out of control. Your body's designed to come around those cells and consume them. As we get older, they're finding that it's not as much genetics as it is metabolic.
Everything is happening at the metabolic cellular level—microorganisms and mitochondria. All kinds of things are starting there at the cellular level. That's where we have to fight this battle. That's why I wanted to put the booklet together that's going to be free for anyone at shaneidleman.com. I doubt I can get to everything here, but I want to give people hope. I also think it's important to look at how God designed us.
The main thing I wanted to get across is: who are you listening to? Be careful right off the bat. Fear and pressure can be overwhelming. You need to take that to the Lord. Just today, I got a right hook from Mike Tyson, basically. I'm on a walk, I'm feeling great, and one of the top oncologists in the Antelope Valley is on me about radiation and chemo. He's just pushing. I told him I'd talk to him later.
Fear comes over you, right? You have to take it to the Lord and rest in Him. Waiting on God and using wisdom doesn't mean you're foolish. It means your response is targeted. You're gauging things and you're looking at all these things that are before you. Even if you have access to nothing, you have access to everything.
I've had some closed doors, and it can get frustrating. I know many people say, "I don't know what to do." I know who does know what to do, and I want to point you to Him. I wish I could come up here and say, "Here's how Shane overcame cancer." Time will tell. I'm taking it day by day. I'm in the trenches. I don't have answers for a lot of people, but I know who does have the answers.
Sometimes He'll get us to our wit's end until we realize, "Okay, Lord, what do you want me to do?" It's okay to feel that way because there are many different things going on. I don't know exactly what to do, and you don't know exactly what to do. That is normal in the Christian walk. My dentist reminded me today that I have to have oral surgery done and teeth removed. I'm like, "Okay, let's just throw that on there again." Come on, Lord. What's the priority here?
I'm getting frustrated. God, help me. I'm living what I'm preaching. A good friend of mine said, "Do what you can in the natural, and then trust Him in the supernatural." You use wisdom and you take care of this temple. But I also want to warn you: be careful of trends rather than truth. You never have to be careful of the truth of God's word, but there's a lot of trends out there.
This can pertain to any kind of sickness. I just heard recently that a friend was helping somebody with Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is hard. Another friend of mine is at one of the cancer centers in Tijuana right now. Three of my friends have had surgery to remove cancer. There's just disease and things going on, but this is for all types of people struggling.
You have to be careful of those things that you see on ads. "Try this, try this, try this." Before you know it, you have 15 different supplements, and you don't know what you're taking what for. "This pill should do this." Be careful of those things. It's hidden until now. Here is the magic solution. Lord, what are you teaching me? What are you showing me?
So, I'm ready to get controversial if you are. Okay, hold on, buckle up. A lot of prayer went into this stuff, and a lot of research. Let's throw up the two big ones that people have been asking me about: Ivermectin and Fenbendazole. Let me say up front, as far as I know, cancer is not a parasite. Parasites are separate things. Cancer cells are different.
There's a connection, but the reason this stuff works is discussed in medical journals and PubMed. They'll say to use it in conjunction with your chemo and your radiation. They have to say that. Or I'll read something like this, and Google AI will say it's a conspiracy theory. Then I'll go to PubMed, and it says it is okay. You guys need to get together here. Because you said it outside of conventional treatment, it gets flagged.
The medical society suggests these fight cancer primarily by inducing apoptosis, which is cellular suicide. They inhibit glucose metabolism, because cancer loves glucose. They arrest the cell cycle in the G2M phase. This phase is where the cell actually does a dynamic shift for energy, and it kills that shift. It's similar to chemotherapy agents.
Fenbendazole acts as a microtubule destabilizing agent. That just means if a tube is forming in the cell, it begins to destabilize and breaks it down. It's amazing. It disrupts necessary cell division and increases oxidative stress in cancer cells. I have the resources and links so you can read more up on these issues. Now, I'm not telling you how to take it or when to take it. I'm just telling you the information.
Of course, with things like this, I would get blood work done after a month. Fenbendazole especially can be toxic on the liver. I'm just putting this stuff up here. People think I say you shouldn't take medication. I've never said that. What do I always say? Seek the great physician first. You want to take care of your body. There's a time and a place that God may allow for medicine.
But those two things definitely are showing some promising results. Next on the screen is HBOT. Anybody heard of HBOT? Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. It involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which dramatically increases the amount of oxygen dissolved in the bloodstream and delivered to tissues, including tumors. This counters the hypoxic, low-oxygen environment common in solid tumors, which is a major driver of cancer progression and resistance to therapy. Guess what? Cancer does not like oxygen.
The more I study, the more I realize our environment before the flood probably had a lot more oxygen. This is where I got frustrated, because nobody in town will let you use their hyperbaric chamber. You need to be recommended by a physician and show a legitimate reason, and it's about $500. But even if you have nothing, you have everything. And there are places I can recommend for those who want more information on this.
Long story short, you're forcing oxygen into the body. Cancer cells do not like oxygen. They actually use aerobic glycolysis. Instead of taking glucose and converting it to ATP through the whole Krebs cycle, the cancer cell takes lactate as an energy source. It doesn't like oxygen, and it doesn't want to wake up the mitochondria, either, because the mitochondria will induce apoptosis and destroy it. It's very sneaky. It loves low oxygen.
So when you're pumping the oxygen into the system, it shows very promising results fighting cancer. Again, this is from the National Library of Medicine, not Shane Idleman thinking of some wonky stuff. If an oncologist recommends it, we can get you in, as long as you're doing it in conjunction with conventional treatment.

When I was first diagnosed with cancer, I was amazed at the environment of negativity and fear that encompassed most medical facilities. Not to mention all the well-meaning people who offered tons of advice regarding “what I should be doing” — it was truly overwhelming.
And when YouTube removed my announcement about my diagnosis because I dared to use the word “alternatives,” I said, “Game on!” Their censorship, along with my diagnosis, awakened a renewed fire … a renewed passion for God, truth, faith, trust, and perseverance.

About Regaining Lost Ground
Today, as we continually drift away in a current of moral decline and relativism, many believe that the battle is too advanced and that we cannot make a difference. Shane, however, believes that we can. He stresses: "If we encourage truth, yet fail to relate to our culture, the church can seem formal and dead. This fact fuels the postmodern movement. But when truth is sacrificed for the sake of relating to the culture, as we see today, the very foundation is destroyed. Truth, the foundational beliefs clearly outlined in Scripture, must remain unmoved and unchanged. Times change, but truth does not!
About Pastor Shane Idleman
Author/speaker, Shane Idleman, has written twelve compelling, biblically-based books, and has obtained quotes from such noted pastors and leaders as Jack Hayford, D. James Kennedy, Tony Perkins, David Barton, Mike MacIntosh, Dr. Peter Lillback, Bob Coy, and Raul Ries, and from organizations such as the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Promise Keepers, American Family Association, and Family Research Council.
What makes this story so inspiring is that Idleman had a promising career as a Corporate Executive, but he left it behind to follow a dream that God placed in his heart after he committed his life to Christ. In his words: "While I had focused on prosperity, wealth, and success, I had starved my soul. I tried everything that the world had to offer, but ultimately, I found that it offered little of lasting value." When asked why he thought that his ministry is being so well received, he added: "The overwhelming response simply reflects the need that we all have for the truths found in God’s Word."
Shane is known for crossing denominational lines. He adds, "We must strive for unity in the essentials, and grace in the non-essentials. We need sound doctrine and the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s possible to be Bible taught, but not Spirit led—straight as a gun barrel theologically, but just as empty. The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. We desperately need both" (cf. 2 Corinthians 3:6).
Idleman is the founder and lead pastor of Westside Christian Fellowship in Southern California. His sermons, books, articles, and radio program have sparked change in the lives of many. For more, visit WCFAV.org, or ShaneIdleman.com.
