Portraits of Grace

John MacArthur: This is John MacArthur welcoming you to Portraits of Grace. If you’ve been a Christian for a while, you may remember when you first realized that you were no longer in step with the world’s culture or comfortable with its philosophy. In fact, you may have felt compelled to speak out against the world’s values and urge unbelievers to turn from their sins and embrace Christ.

If that’s been true of you, then you may have already felt opposition. And you shouldn’t be surprised by that, since Jesus said, “I chose you out of the world; therefore the world hates you.” How can you avoid being caught off guard when your faith is tested?

I think by spending time in God’s Word daily. That’s how you can be a portrait of grace and become like a city set on a hill that can’t be hidden and can’t be intimidated even by persecution. Be a light to the world, a faithful light. And don’t feel ever like a victim.
