Portraits of Grace

John MacArthur: This is John MacArthur inviting you to join me for Portraits of Grace. When King Nebuchadnezzar took Daniel as one of his personal servants, it began a ministry that would last 70 years. Daniel served the king as ruler over the entire province of Babylon. He was prime minister. Under Nebuchadnezzar's son Belshazzar, Daniel ruled a third of the kingdom. After the fall of Babylon, Daniel held similar authority under Darius the Mede, who eventually appointed him prime minister. As you can see, Daniel had enormous influence. It began when he was just a boy who chose commitment over compromise.

He was faithful with little, and the Lord gave him much. You may not have the breadth of influence Daniel enjoyed, but you can still match his commitment. Remember, the choices you make for Christ today directly impact the influence you will have for him tomorrow. Commitment over compromise will make you a portrait of grace.
