Portraits of Grace

John MacArthur: This is John MacArthur, welcoming you to Portraits of Grace. From the beginning, Satan has tried to confuse and confound God's purposes by corrupting people's thinking. In the Garden of Eden, he called God's character into question and convinced Eve that her disobedience would have no consequences. To this day, he continues to deceive people by blinding their minds to reality and to the glory of Christ. Daniel and his friends were captives of a pagan king who wanted to dilute their allegiance to God. But unlike Eve, they didn't succumb to evil influences, and God honored their clear thinking and their integrity and taught them everything they needed to be productive in Babylonian society and have a great influence for righteousness.

You see, when they chose to love and trust God and obey his word despite the circumstances, they demonstrated the wisdom that protects God's children from all evil influences. Be a portrait of grace and do the same.
