Now here's today's podcast from Pathway to Victory.

Speaker 1

Hi, this is Robert Jeffress, and I'm glad to study God's Word with you every day on this Bible teaching program on today's edition of Pathway to Victory.

You know, this is a time of the year that we're busy giving and receiving gifts. But what a tragedy it would be to go throughout this Christmas season without receiving the greatest gift of all: the gift that God gave us, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2

Welcome to Pathway to Victory with Author and pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress at First Baptist Dallas. We believe that Christmas really is a big deal, and every year we put forward our very best talents to celebrate the magnificent birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Today on Pathway to Victory, we're going to enjoy a majestic music performance from the First Baptist Choir and Orchestra. But first, let's take a minute to hear some important ministry updates.

Speaker 1

Thanks, David. It's Christmas Eve, and we're delighted you joined us for today's festive edition of Pathway to Victory. Hundreds of years before the baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the prophet Isaiah made an astounding prediction. In Isaiah, chapter nine, we read this amazing prophecy: "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us, and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."

Well, today we're setting aside the entire program to celebrate this declaration in music. What you're about to hear is a masterful performance by the First Baptist Dallas Choir and Orchestra.

First, it's critically important to remind you that time is running out to request your copy of the 2026 Pathway to Victory Daily Devotional. I wrote this brand new edition for you so that we could spend time in God's Word together, side by side, through each weekday in 2026. I've written a brief devotional for every Monday through Friday in the new year, and the tan leather-bound edition is yours when you give a generous year-end gift to accelerate the mission of Pathway to Victory.

Remember that right now your gift has twice the impact because of the "Now is the Time" matching challenge. I believe there's no greater gift you could give this Christmas season than to tell the world about the Prince of Peace. You can transform the life of someone who has yet to hear about Jesus. Plus, because of this astounding matching challenge, your generous gift is automatically doubled up until the deadline of December 31st.

All right, it's time to get started with the Dallas Christmas Spectacular. Please step into the worship center with me at First Baptist Dallas as we celebrate the birth of King Jesus. Can you hear it? Can you see it? It's a time when the air is filled with sounds—colorful sounds of laughter and joyous singing, the sounds of shopping and bright color rampants. It's a time of memories old and new, brought to life by the First Baptist Dallas Choir and Orchestra.

You're listening to a very special Christmas edition of Pathway to Victory. Today's musical performance comes to you from the worship center at First Baptist Dallas. We are grateful to the talented members of our choir and orchestra for leading us in a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

And don't forget, there's still time to request your copy of the 2026 Pathway to Victory Daily Devotional. This brand new edition contains a short inspirational devotion for every single weekday in the new year. Request your copy online at ptv.org.

For now, let's sing along with the congregation of First Baptist Dallas, beginning with this traditional favorite: "O Come, All Ye Faithful."

Speaker 3

All ye faithful,

Joyful and triumphant,

O come ye, O come ye together.

Come and behold him, for the King of angels.

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord.

Oh, you sound great, church.

Yea, Lord, we greet thee,

Yea, Lord, we greet thee,

For this happy morning.

Jesus, to thee be all glory,

Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing.

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord.

We'll give him all the glory,

We'll give him all the glory,

We'll give him all the glory,

We'll give him all the glory.

Sing, angels, we have heard on high,

Angels we have heard on high,

Sweetly singing o'er the plains,

And the mountains in reply,

Echo that their joy is great.

Glory to the world, Jesus.

Speaker 1

It truly was a holy night that night when Christ was born. Not just because a baby was born. There were many babies born that night in Israel. But this baby was special. He was God in the flesh. God with us. Emmanuel, the Son of God came to earth to live a perfect life. Life to die an excruciating death on a cross. All to give us the gift we all need the most. The gift of God's forgiveness. That's why Christ came.

Jesus explained his coming this way. He said, "For God so loved the world, for God so loved you and me, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him, trusts in him, and clings to him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

You know, this is a time of the year that we're busy giving and receiving gifts. But what a tragedy it would be to go throughout this Christmas season without receiving the greatest gift of all. The gift that God gave us. The gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Christ, I don't think it's an accident that you're tuned into this broadcast. God is extending to you his gift of forgiveness. You see, the Bible says we've all sinned. I have.

Speaker 3

You have.

Speaker 1

We all deserve God's punishment, but God offered a way of escape, an assurance of heaven when we die. If we will simply believe that Jesus died for us and trust in what he did for us, to cleanse us of our sins, we can have that abundant eternal life that begins now, transcends death, and lasts throughout eternity.

If you would like to receive God's unconditional forgiveness in your life, I want to invite you to pray this prayer in your heart to God, knowing that God is listening to you right now. Would you pray this with me?

Dear God,

God, thank you for loving me. I know I have failed you in so many ways and I'm truly sorry for the sins in my life. But I believe what I've heard tonight, that you love me so much you sent your son Jesus to die on the cross for me to take the punishment that I deserve to take for myself.

And right now I'm trusting in what Jesus did for me. Not in my good works, but in what Jesus did for me to save me from my sins. Thank you for forgiving me and help me to live the rest of my life for you.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Speaker 3

Lord Most Holy, Most Holy. We worship and adore you, O holy child of heaven. O God incarnate, one with the Holy Spirit and with the Father.

We lift our songs of praise to Thee; the redeeming love has set us free. Oh, and He will reign eternally.

The Son of God, our hope, our great Redeemer, the Prince of Glory.

Sa. Ram Holy.
