We are all conditioned to expect instant gratification. We take a pill and expect the pain to go away. When hungry, we buy fast food. Waiting for any reason seems unreasonable, after all, there’s too much to do to be stuck not doing anything. Many would find the words of King David in Psalm 37 out of sync: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently before Him.” Today we learn some lessons from a great king on remembering who is really in charge of our lives.
