But these laws that govern agriculture also apply to financial giving. In this message we explore what Paul taught about generosity in his writings to the church at Corinth.

Wise money managers know the term ROI: return on investment—the bottom line when putting resources at risk. Christians have bank accounts on earth, but also accounts in heaven. They lay up treasures “where moth and rust do not corrupt.” In this message we’ll learn why investments in things eternal bear a return we cannot even imagine.

When a wealthy benefactor gives a few million dollars to a college, it’s always big news. But no one seems to notice a poor person giving a quarter to someone else in need. That is, no one but Jesus. One of the oldest books in the Bible asks a question that is still being asked today! In Job 14:14 we read, “If a man dies, shall he live again?” Life is not about riches or fame, success or failure. The deepest issue of life is what happens once it’s over. The glory of God makes it possible for us to face death with triumph.

Hurting is a part of life. Ask anyone in a cancer ward, facing a painful end to their life. No one is exempt from suffering. Sooner or later, we all experience it. But believers are promised that suffering for the sake of Jesus will be rewarded.

As human beings, we all must deal with the subject of sexuality, because God has created each person as a sexual being. For the believer, no other area of life seems as challenging. First Corinthians was written to a church with serious moral issues. Can we view our sexuality through the prism of the glory of God?
