Shalom and welcome to Messianic Perspectives, a daily program where we look into the scriptures from a distinctive first-century Jewish point of view. This is Liz Aiello. Dr. Gary Hedrick: All right, thank you. And welcome, chaverim. Welcome, friends, to another edition of Messianic Perspectives. It's good to have you with us today as we continue this series of studies on Satan's plan for the end times. On the last program, we were talking about the reality of this character the Bible calls the devil or the adversary.

In Hebrew, he's called Ha-Satan. In Greek, he's Diabolos. Both words mean the same thing: adversary or accuser. And he's not just an allegory or a symbol for evil; he is very real. The scriptures refer to him as a fallen cherub, a heavenly creature who fell into sin and was cast out of heaven.

Jesus even makes the statement that he was there when it happened. He said, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven." So the kingdom of darkness is a reality, not just a metaphor. There are beings in the unseen world who conspire against us and against the Son of God, because that's the real conspiracy in this world.

There are so many Christians caught up in the conspiracy movements, and they think there's a group of men who meet in Brussels, Belgium, or in Rome every year, and they're the ones who rule the world. Some people call them the Illuminati or the Bilderbergers. Almost all of these hate groups are anti-Semitic, and yet many of them claim to be Christian.

But let me tell you something: the devil is having a heyday. He really is, because so many of God's people are out there chasing rabbit trails. We've been sidetracked. We think the culprits are the Illuminati and the Council on Foreign Relations and all the rest of those groups, when in reality what's happening is that there is a Satanic conspiracy.

And I mean a very complex and a very large Satanic conspiracy to push this whole worldwide political system into one new world order or one global political system. Years ago, we had a supporter who worked in the Reagan administration, and we corresponded back and forth a few times. This lady was a born-again Christian and had worked for a member of Reagan's cabinet during his second term back in the 1980s.

She had been around the world during the Reagan presidency and had flown many times on Air Force One. She had walked the halls of power from the United Nations to Washington, D.C., to Brussels and Rome. She knew Henry Kissinger, and she knew George Bush when he was Vice President. She had met Gorbachev and his wife and many other world leaders.

She attended many meetings of the Council on Foreign Relations and other groups that people think are so evil. And you know what she told us? She said, "Gary, these people don't have a clue as to what's going on. People think there's a smoke-filled room somewhere where this small group of men control the whole world."

She said, "Gary, it is so pathetic. It's like the blind leading the blind. These guys don't know what they're doing." She said a lot of times she would sit there in those cabinet meetings, taking notes for her boss with some of the most powerful men in the world sitting around that big table, and she just wanted to stand up and say, "Don't you people have a clue?"

This lady understood her Bible. She understood that God has a plan and that Satan has a plan, and she could see how things on the political scene were setting the stage for global unification and for the administration of the Antichrist. She could see it.

She said, "Gary, I'm telling you, those men are not sinister. They don't have a clue. They don't know what's going on. They are dupes. They are pawns in a conspiracy that is much larger and much more complex than anything any human being could dream up."

It's much larger than anything the Bilderbergers could cook up. It's larger than the Illuminati, the Council on Foreign Relations, or the United Nations, because it is not a human conspiracy; it is a Satanic conspiracy. Behind it are the forces of darkness.

These politicians and world leaders who walk the halls of power in Washington, D.C., Brussels, Frankfurt, Rome, and Zurich—these powerful men who control much of the wealth of this world—are nothing but dupes. Most of them are not even Jewish, by the way, contrary to what the hate groups say.

But these powerful men who control so much of what goes on in the world today are nothing but pawns, and they are being manipulated by the forces of darkness because it's a Satanic conspiracy. This is a real conspiracy; it's been going on since the beginning of time. These sinister forces conspired to keep the Messiah from being born. Then they conspired against Him when He was here, and they are still conspiring against Him.

What's the next great event on God's agenda for the nations? It's the ushering in of the earthly kingdom of God. We call it the millennial kingdom. And so that's what's happening right now: Satan is opposing God's kingdom. He's trying to establish his own kingdom on earth. He's trying to bring the kingdoms of this world together in opposition to God's kingdom.

He tried to use the Nazis to do it back in the 1930s and the 1940s, and even Hitler himself said that his goal was to establish a Reich that would endure for a thousand years, a counterfeit millennial kingdom. Thank God he failed. The Nazis failed, but Satan isn't giving up. He's at work in the world today, working behind the scenes, influencing decisions, maneuvering his people into positions of influence, planning, and scheming.

I'll tell you something else: the Nazi spirit is alive and well in the world today. The skinheads, the hate groups, the identity movement—it's all a manifestation of the same spirit that inspired Hitler and the Nazis. When you're around those people and you take a deep breath, you can almost smell the sulfur because it's hatched in the pit of hell. It's Satanic.

You say, "Gary, those are some sick puppies in that movement." No, they're not just sick. They are possessed, possessed by something that most of them don't even understand. And if they don't repent and get right with God, they will end up in the lake of fire right alongside the devil himself and his fallen angels. I don't buy this excuse that they're just sick, like "Go take an aspirin and call me in the morning."

They're not just sick. Anti-Semitism like we see it in these hate groups—where they're teaching little children how to use machine guns so they can mow down the Jews, the black people, the Hispanic, and anyone else who's not white—that kind of stuff is not just a sickness. It is Satanic.

This is the one aspect of Satan's plan that has always been the same. In every age, in every period of history, this is the common denominator: the fact that Satan hates the Jews. He despises the Jewish people. He always has and he always will. Why? Because they are God's earthly people. They are the nation God has promised ultimately to restore and to bless.

They are the ones through whom the Messiah came and through whom the scriptures came and to whom the covenants were given. Our spiritual ancestors were Jewish. Think about this: the early church was almost entirely Jewish. The first missionaries were Jewish. Every believer who's alive today can trace his spiritual heritage back to a Jewish believer.

If there was some way to trace your spiritual lineage back and you could go from one generation to another, back into time—the person who led you to the Messiah, then back to the person who led him to the Messiah, and then whoever led him to the Messiah and on and on back in time—if you could do that all the way back to the first century, you would eventually come to a Jewish believer in Yeshua, in Jesus.

You may not even have to go back to the first century before you come to a Jewish Christian. Every Gentile believer in the world today has a Jewish Christian somewhere in his spiritual ancestry. So our spiritual ancestors were Jewish. You and I are where we are today because of the courage and commitment of Jewish Christians who took their stand in the first century.

So how in the world can you claim to be a Bible-believing Christian and hate the Jewish people? You say, "Well Gary, I don't hate the ones who are Christians because they're not Jews no more." Well, you know what? They are Jews. In fact, they're more Jewish after they believe in Jesus than they were before.

What can be more Jewish than having a personal relationship with the Jewish Messiah and having His Spirit living inside of you? It doesn't get any more Jewish than that. And let me tell you something: when He comes the second time, it's the Jewish people who will be the ones to recognize Him—the people of Israel, Am Yisrael. They will say, "Baruch Haba B'Shem Adonai: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."

But you see, if Satan could destroy the Jewish people, if he could wipe them out like he has tried to do so many times, then he knows that would mean God's promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was never fulfilled. His promise to David would never be fulfilled. God's word would have failed. That is why so much of Satan's plan is dictated by anti-Semitism. We'll talk more about that later. But that's it for now.
