Faith First: Abraham’s Legacy in Romans 4:9-17

February 27, 2026
00:00

In this episode, we unpack one of Paul’s most foundational arguments in the letter to the Romans: How can broken people stand righteous before a holy God? Through a deep look at Romans 4:9-17, we explore how Abraham — long before law or ritual — was made right with God through faith alone. This isn’t just ancient history; it’s the blueprint for understanding salvation, grace, and what it means to trust God when the world tells us to rely on performance instead of belief. We’ll wrestle with big questions like: Why does Paul point to Abraham’s faith before circumcision? What does it mean to be counted righteous by God? And how does this ancient story reshape our understanding of faith, identity, and God’s promises today? Whether you’re curious about faith’s roots or hungry for deeper spiritual insight, this episode will challenge and encourage you.
