What About: Marijuana

We’re receiving biblical answers to some difficult questions right now on Light on the Hill. Today’s big question we’ll throw at pastor James Kaddis is, "What About Marijuana?" Some contend it’s used for pain management or it’s a natural herb, so it must be ok. Does the Bible actually speak about the consumption of such drugs, and does this fall into the grey area? Let’s find out as we turn to Galatians chapter five!

Warning danger ahead! We see those signs as we’re driving around town, and if we’re wise we’ll heed the warning! Today on Light on the Hill we hear a very important warning from God that judgement is ahead. This went out to a nation that had turned its back on God. And in case you haven’t noticed, we’re living in a nation that has done the very same thing. So Malachi chapter one has great relevance for us today.

We’ve said this many times on Light on the Hill. God’s judgement is often an extension of His grace! He does what He does for reasons that we don’t always understand, yet as His children, we stand as beneficiaries of all that He does for us! When a nation disobeys God, He will warn them. If they do not listen, judgement will surely come. With that said there is always hope, especially for the righteous.

The book of Jude doesn’t take long to read, but don’t let the size of the letter fool you into thinking it doesn’t have much to say to us. It does. As you’ll hear in a moment it encourages us to rely upon God in all things and offers needed perspective for these last days. Even the opening verse communicates a great deal to us.
