The Irony is Perfect, Because God Knows Best Part 1

December 5, 2022

How many times have we pondered a circumstance and have thought, “That’s ironic!”  In most cases that’s often associated with negative or nefarious implications. When it comes to God’s intervention in our lives, the picture is completely different. We’ll see a great example of this today on Light on the Hill as pastor James Kaddis returns to Philemon.

We’ve been going through the book of Daniel with pastor James Kaddis, and we’ll have one more look at chapter seven for you today. If you’ll recall there are four beasts in this vision given to Daniel, and the very last one has ten horns.  Pastor James believes this is descriptive of a Revived Roman empire that will be made up of ten nations, and led by the antichrist.  We’ll learn, things are developing rapidly in this world, setting the stage for this to happen perhaps very soon!

We just celebrated Thanksgiving last week… and what wonderful time it was, expressing our gratitude to God.  But as we’ll see today, thanksgiving is not just to be a once-a-year activity, but rather an ongoing lifestyle.  Even when things aren’t going the way we had hoped there’s good reason to be thankful!  Today pastor James Kaddis encourages us to be grateful to God for all that we have and all that He’s doing in our lives.

“Little children, keep yourselves from idols!”  That may seem like a strange way to end the epistle of First John.  But when you stop to think of how prevalent and destructive idolatry is, it makes perfect sense!  Today on Light on the Hill we aim to complete our series, “That Your Joy May be Full.”  And pastor James Kaddis will urge us to put Jesus first in our lives, letting go of anything that is getting in the way of that.

Pastor James Kaddis will have a look at a vision Daniel received that includes several beasts.  One of them represents a revived Roman Empire, that we’ve yet to see. It'll be made up of ten nations, and they will hand the reigns over to the antichrist.  Are we seeing this taking shape, even as we speak?  Find out today.

Maybe today you have some doubts concerning your salvation. Or you have a sin struggle that you can’t seem to break free from?   We hope to help you overcome that today through a study in First John five.  God doesn’t want us to live in doubt concerning the most important thing in life… our salvation.  So He makes it clear in His Word how we can know for certain where we stand.  And He also lets us know the keys to victory over sin and depression.

If I was to ask you if you’re a Christian and going to heaven when you die, what would you say?  Would you be confident in your answer?  I’m happy to say, we can know where we’ll spend eternity, and First John explains how.  That’s where we’re headed on Light on the Hill.  So if you have some doubts or concerns about your salvation, this is a must listen to message from pastor James Kaddis.
