Light on the Hill

Guest (Male): There are movies depicting a massive meteor hitting planet Earth. Do you realize that very well may happen during the tribulation period as described in Revelation chapter six? Hear all about it next on Light on the Hill.

Today on Light on the Hill, seal number five is about to be opened, and we get a glimpse of the suffering that will come because of totalitarianism. God will judge all of it and bring His vengeance. The whole world will seek to escape it, but they will be unable to hide from what God has in store for them.

All of this should serve as a wake-up call and encourage us to get right with the Lord today to avoid this coming judgment. Here’s Pastor James Kaddis in Revelation chapter six.

James Kaddis: So far in Revelation chapter six, we have gone through the first four seals. As those seals were broken in this specific order, we learned about the white horse, then we learned about the red horse, we learned about the black horse, and then we learned about the pale horse. Of course, the white horse is representative of the ultimate totalitarian ruler whose name is the Antichrist.

Then after the white horse, we saw the red horse because we know that with totalitarianism comes war. The red horse, in essence, is war. After that, we saw economic failure. We talk about economic collapse, that is the black horse. The black horse gives us insight into a ruling class that is sustained in the midst of it and throughout all of it. In essence, that brings us into the rider of the pale horse, which the rider of the pale horse is death.

Within the context of what we read in Revelation chapter six, that fourth seal is the cause of billions of lives being lost. Billions, not millions, but billions. Why? Because we know that a quarter of the population dies as a result of everything. A quarter of the population dies, probably in the snap of a finger, pretty quickly as a result of all of this. It’s a pretty significant and a pretty hefty situation.

I should point this out because it’s really important to also note this. The nature of God and how God works is that God does discipline His children. That’s very important that we understand that. His judgment extends in the form of discipline oftentimes to people who rebel against Him. But when He extends Himself into the actions related to the final judgment of the world, then we as His children will be exempt from that because we are not subject to that judgment.

The Bible says that God will preserve His children and will not allow them to be subject to that final judgment. So we already know based on what we’re reading about here in the Bible, we’re already raptured at this point, but what’s happening on the Earth is just absolutely and astoundingly destructive. What is interesting about the first four seals is those are man-made things.

It’s man who gives way to the Antichrist. It’s man who brings into fruition war and all of the things that happen. It’s a result of their allegiance to a totalitarian ruler, specifically the Antichrist, the one who literally puts himself in the place of Christ. It’s man’s allegiance to him that brings even the economic collapse that came from the ensuement of war.

Then, of course, we know that it is man’s actions that lead to the kind of death that we’re seeing. If you were to look at this at a much smaller level in the models that we’ve seen in totalitarian government today, you would see exactly that same type of a thing. When you bring in the introduction of a totalitarian ruler, that totalitarian ruler almost immediately brings in war, and that war brings in all kinds of problems with the economics.

With that comes death. If you don’t believe me, go anywhere in the world, including the United States of America, and spend some time analyzing the actions of a totalitarian ruler. Make no mistake about it, if you want to see a more vivid and a more graphic example of a totalitarian ruler, how about we talk about somebody like the leader of Ukraine, who is a very totalitarian ruler?

When he came into fruition and was given the empowerment that he had, he has done exactly everything that you would expect a totalitarian ruler to do. He’s killed his political enemies, actually the religious leaders, he’s completely shut them down, including killing many of them. The reality of it is he comes in and what does he do? He brings death into the picture because of the ensuement of war.

He wants war to take place. He could end this just like many other world leaders around him could end it, but they’re not doing it, and they’re creating problems related to economics. They’re creating problems created by finances, and the ruling class is growing in wealth in the midst of all of this, and they’re dying. Here’s something a lot of people are not thinking about.

They’re going crazy about what’s happening right now in Israel with what’s happening in Gaza. Even if you believe the lying and fake and inaccurate numbers that the Health Ministry in Hamas are giving you about the loss of innocent civilian lives, let’s just say you say that’s the case. If it is that, it’s probably mostly terrorists that have died, and I’m not even going to get into the arguments related to that.

But let’s just say you accept that number. Let’s say that number is satisfactory, we accept it, we walk away from it. How about we double that number? Why is nobody speaking up about the fact that now almost 1.3 million lives have been lost in Ukraine as a result of the actions of that totalitarian ruler? 1.3 million lives.

An overwhelming majority of those lives are innocent civilians, believe it or not. You think about that. It’s this totalitarian ruler taking these innocent civilians, bringing them into the theater of war, and watching them die like putting meat through a meat grinder. It’s a terrible thing, but that’s what’s going on. The reason why that’s happening and the reason why they’re attacking Jews in the midst of what’s going on in Israel is because of course it’s a very spiritual thing.

The point behind it is when you bring in a totalitarian ruler, you always encourage war. When you encourage war, you bring in economic failure and collapse. When that happens, then it brings death. Of course, the amount of death that we have seen in the last 100 years as a result of totalitarian rule is probably about to hit now about 305 million lives being lost.

That is nothing compared to two and a half to three billion. That’s what we read is going to happen. The reason why it’s going to be so much more severe as a result of this Antichrist is settled into two very important issues. Number one, this is the devil that’s doing it directly. He himself is stepping into the body of another person and possessing him and doing the very thing that he’s going to do.

The other issue, and I think this one is very staggeringly important for us to understand, is that Christians will not be on this Earth. The Bible tells us per Second Thessalonians chapter two the fact that we as Christians are the preserving influence in this world. We are the restrainers. When we are filled with the Spirit living on this Earth, we act as a restraining force that keeps things from going into its full fruition, the kind of destruction and death that we should expect to see when there is nobody who’s a gatekeeper.

When there’s no guardian, nobody watching things and holding things back, and that is the very picture, and I think it’s a very important picture. So, we read about all of this, we read about the destruction of the pale horse, we read about all the death that takes place, and that’s where we pick up on verse nine. By the way, it’s not good. If right now you’re listening to me and you don’t know the Lord, you need to know God.

You need to walk with God. You need to have a relationship with God because the last thing you want to happen is the rapture of the church when you are not walking with God. You do not want to be a non-believer and watch the body of Christ be raptured because the moment the body of Christ is raptured, there is no restraining force on the Earth that’s left.

In reality, you are about to watch all literal hell break loose, and you’re going to be a part of it. I think that’s a really important aspect to discuss. Look at this in verse nine. It says, "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice saying, 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?'"

Verse 11, "And white robes were given unto every one of them. It was said unto them that they should rest yet for a little season until their fellow servants also and their brethren that should be killed as they were should be fulfilled." I just want to simply say this because it’s really important. We’re going to spend a lot more time talking about this group of people that die during the tribulation in chapter seven of Revelation and also in chapter 20.

But I want to say this because it’s important to note this, and I think we have to take notes on this and pay very special attention to this. These are not Christians that were left behind. You need to understand that. These are not the people who were left behind on the Earth after the church was raptured. These are people who actually made the decision to choose to resist the Antichrist, and they were killed as a result of their resistance.

I have talked to many people who say that they believe that God is real and that they believe that God is true, but they want to continue to live their unrighteous lifestyle. They know that if the church gets raptured, then they know that what they have to do is just not take the mark of the beast. There’s a couple of things I want to mention here before we get any deeper into this discussion, and that is it’s not going to be as easy as you think to fight what you understand or know to be evil.

First of all, most people who are living on the Earth at that time are going to be completely deceived and are actually going to believe that taking the mark of the beast is a righteous thing to do. It’s a good thing to do. As a matter of fact, they’re going to be so convinced that it is the right thing to do that in Revelation chapter 14, the Bible tells us that there will be an angel that will actually out loud be yelling to everybody, "Hey, don't do this. If you do this, you go die."

He’s making himself very clear, and yet people choose to do it. They don’t care what God has to say about whether or not they’re going to die because they’re so convinced that they need to take the mark of the beast. I also should mention this, if you are willing to not take things seriously right now, what makes you think when it gets so desperate that the deception, the delusion that is sent down that God allows to be sent down by His own power and His own will is going to be not strong enough to get you to wake up and to see what’s going on?

I want you to understand that the blood of the martyrs that is shed during this time is going to be a very small pool of people. So if you think that somehow you’re going to miss the rapture and in doing so you just need to know to not take the mark of the beast, good luck because most people that think they’re not going to take the mark of the beast will take the mark of the beast.

It’s not because you’re going to do it under duress. You’re going to do it because you feel like it’s the right thing to do because the Bible makes it clear that people will be waiting in droves to be able to do it. The impression that we get from reading is that they are going to look at this Antichrist, they’re going to think he is the best thing since sliced bread. He’s our answer to every problem that we have.

He’s the one that’s going to give us all the direction and all the wisdom that we need to solve the problems with the wars and the rumors of wars that are going on. He’s going to be the one that’s going to make peace with everybody. He’s the one that we need to be able to rule. And when he sets himself up as the final Antichrist, he turns into the beast, so to speak, in Revelation 13 and he sets himself up in the temple and demands to be worshipped.

The Bible tells us that the only ones that will be privy to who he actually is are going to be a group of Jews. They’re going to be the only ones. They’re going to realize it and then he is going to heavily persecute them and go after them and seek to take their lives. He’s going to want to kill them immediately. And then he’s going to seek to kill anybody else—actually he will kill anybody else that does not take the mark of the beast.

And keep this in mind, if you take the mark of the beast, you’re done. You’re doomed. It’s not like you can take the mark of the beast and say, "Well, I took the mark of the beast but now I repent." There’s no repentance. You’re going to hell. You take the mark, you’re going to hell. It’s that simple. So the whole idea behind just thinking, "I'm not going to do it, I'll be off the grid, I'll run away," you probably won’t.

You will actually probably buy it hook, line, and sinker. You will swallow the bait. I promise you it will be one of those things where you will not think about the words that I shared with you. I got myself in trouble because somebody had asked me about putting together a little package that they want to start selling to Christians that they can leave behind for their loved ones about what to do if we get raptured.

I think the idea is actually a pretty good idea. I think it’s reasonable and there’s guys that are friends of mine that are pastors that have these little packets that they’ve put together and they’re not ripping people off and making a living off these things. They’re covering their costs and saying, "Hey, give me the few dollars and I'll send you this whole set of things that you can give to your loved ones or you could put in a lockbox."

If you get raptured, tell them that the first thing they need to do is look at these instructions. My friends have put together a very extensive series of videos and instruction sets and documents of this is what you should do and this is what you should be thinking about. I’m in a few of those videos and we’ve talked about how to prep, but my point behind it is if they get to the point where we are now raptured and they’ve rejected God and everything has happened, they’re not likely listen to us.

They’re not going to be running for the thumb drive or they’re not going to be looking for the data that you left for them online. They’re not going to be typing in the code to try to figure out where to go to find the information. It’s not going to happen because the reality of it is they are going to be so engulfed in deception that they’re not going to care.

They’re going to think that what happened is actually a good thing and they may not even recognize what happened to us in the rapture as being the rapture. They may actually look at it as some weird, crazy, hyper-humanistic, secular ejection of Mother Earth and so on and so forth. Don’t think that that’s a crazy type of thinking because already they are talking things like this.

If you didn’t hear the speech that King Charles gave for COP28, I let you guys hear a portion of it, the very end of his speech, but if you listen to it, the weirdness that is coming out of the mouths of these people. Like we are going to be those of us that fight the Earth are going to be rejected by the Earth because the Earth is not here for us, we’re here for the Earth.

It’s like you guys have lost your functional minds. You’ve gone crazy. You have no idea what you’re saying. But if you’re at the point where you’re willing to hook, line, and sinker buy this deception and continue to do the evil that you’re doing, there’s no way in the world you’re going to reject the mark of the beast. You’re going to swallow it. You’re going to actually do it.

A lot of people say, "Well, when that happens, I'll be ready and I'll just make sure I don't take the mark." Well, good luck because that isn’t going to take place. And by the way, when all of these signs and wonders happen and the world pretty much goes in upheaval, I can also make this statement to you: most people will continue to flip God off.

As a matter of fact, they’ll actually be more resolved in hating God when the world begins to fall apart. How do we know that? Because the Bible tells us that will be the case and we’ve seen evidence of this. We’ve seen people who have very hard hearts and as things begin to go really bad for them, what do they do? They get more angry with God. They blame God and they hate God and they stand against Him. So this is important to understand where this is all going to be going.

Look what it goes on to say. It says in verse 12, "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair and the moon became as blood, and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty wind."

It’s kind of interesting the idea of the fig tree casting untimely figs. It’s funny how figs fall off of a fig tree. As they’re almost ready, they’re almost ripened and they’re ready to go, what begins to happen, like in any other tree, but with figs it’s a lot more pronounced, the connection that the fig has to the tree begins to weaken substantially.

The idea here is that as that connection to the tree weakens, as the fig grows in weight because it’s grabbing some of the moisture and the nutrients, then in essence what it does is it falls off the tree. If you were to shake that tree up, you actually would have—it’s not like one or two figs would fall because only one or two are ready, actually they would all fall.

You would make them all fall prematurely because they all get to that point at the same time and it just depends on when each one falls down off the tree. It’s kind of an interesting thing. We had a fig tree at my brother’s house that we were living in when Nicola and I first got married and that was a very frustrating process for us because what would happen is if the wind blew super, super hard on a day where it was kind of premature and all the figs fell, then you’d have 50 of them that were on the grass and if you didn’t do something about it, they began to really ripen.

At the time, the dog would go out and he would just go crazy on eating all these figs and it was just a bad situation. So the whole idea behind this picture of these figs falling off the tree prematurely and all of these things happening is a very astounding kind of a demonstration that’s being given because the type of meteor showers that they’re describing here is crazy.

What you’re going to see in the sky is there are going to be so many shooting stars, a lot more pronounced than what normally people see, this little streak in the sky. These are going to be meteor showers like nobody has ever seen. Now when I was a kid, I thought a shooting star was exactly that. I thought it was a star that somehow just decided to take off for a little while and say goodbye.

What you realize when you get a little bit older is those are all particles or massive objects in many cases that are re-entering our atmosphere and in doing so they’re burning up. If it’s big enough, you’ll actually see it, it’ll look like a shooting star. Think of the fact that this will be where it is so bad where the sky will be completely lit up by the flames that are coming from these meteors that are falling into the Earth.

It is interesting our relationship with meteors or asteroids as they call them. Funny how the scientists have found out all kinds of funny things about them and they know a lot about them. Like, there’s been a lot of debates that have gone on back and forth. There’s one, I forgot the name of it, some of you guys might be able to tell me, it’s the one that they’ve been talking about lately, the big controversy one.

The one that there’s a big debate with the scientists where they believe that this thing is like 15,000 miles away when it falls past the Earth. When it falls past the Earth, it’ll be around 15,000 miles away from the Earth which is, by the way, dangerously close. That could change the ecology of the Earth. Some scientists are saying no, it’s 1.5 million miles away or 150,000 miles away. I don’t remember, but there’s a big debate there.

Again, we have seen a lot of meteors that are massively big that could just completely destroy the Earth if there was the right collision that had actually taken place. And we see them a lot. As a matter of fact, wasn’t there one that had recently hit, I think it was somewhere around Arizona or New Mexico many years ago that was part of a very small fragment of a much larger one that they didn’t even notice was a near miss until they saw this piece hit the ground and make this massive half-mile crater down?

But what was interesting was they looked back and they said, "Oh yeah, that was a near miss. It was like 20,000 miles away from us or something like that." People don’t completely recognize how ugly things can get, how fast they can get ugly just by the things that are floating around in space if they came into our atmosphere.

James Kaddis: Verse 14: "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together and every mountain and island were moved out of their places." I don’t even want to imagine or describe what that could possibly look like. But folks, it will be catastrophic. It’ll be absolutely crazy.

We think man-made weapons are a crazy thing to see when you see a rocket in the sky. Listen, a rocket in the sky is nothing compared to a massive meteor shower. When I say a real one, I’m talking about where you see hundreds of them every second. We call a massive meteor shower something when we see 10 or 15 shooting stars in an hour. Oh, that’s massive.

There was one that we had recently where they were saying there was many as 40 or 50 that you were seeing an hour, and that was actually true because you could stand in the middle of a really light-polluted city location, look up in the sky and still see one or two every hour. That had gone on a couple of years back and it was quite a wild sight to see.

You had to be up at 3:00 in the morning to be able to see it at its fullest but man, it was crazy. I remember stepping outside and just going, "Wow, that’s nuts." It kind of looked like the world is falling apart right now. Some of them really slowly streaking across the sky. There’s a lot of video of it.

So if you think about the phenomena that is created by virtue of what happens in nature, it’s a lot more significant and a lot more insane looking than anything man-made that we can produce. An explosion in the sky by something man-made isn’t going to come close to what we’re going to see here, and it’s going to be crazy when it begins to happen.
