An Amazing Vision Part 1

We’ll bring you and exciting study today on Light on the Hill. The Prophet Daniel is about to receive a series of visions and dreams. It points to four great world empires, leading up to Christ’s return and the Kingdom to come!

It’s one thing to be faithful to the Lord when things are going great, but what about when the heat is on and your very own life is threatened if you do? Today on Light on the Hill we’re encouraged in the direction of faithfulness to God no matter what. We’ll see what that looks like in the life of Daniel. He was told not to pray and if he did he’d be thrown into a den of lions. That didn’t deter Daniel as we’ll soon see. But God would be faithful and protect him.

We live in a world that is becoming more and more hostile toward Christians. All around the world we see the persecution of believers growing at an alarming rate. And we even see that that here in America, especially in recent months. Today on Light on the Hill pastor James Kaddis teaches from Daniel chapter 6 about the persecution of Daniel that landed him in the lion’s den. It’s one of the more familiar stories in the Old Testament, and has a lot to say to us about being faithful to a faithful God and taking a stand for righteousness.

Wouldn’t you like to be an effective tool in the hands of Almighty God in these last days? You can be, and the Prophet Daniel shows us how! Daniel was completely sold out to the Lord, and kept his eyes focused on what God called him to do, no matter what people thought of him or what came against him. That’s the sort of men and women we should be.

God often shows up in our lives, in ways we might not expect, but at just the right time! Today on Light on the Hill we’ll see an example of that as the Lord reveals Himself suddenly, breaking up a party, all to convey an important message. We dig into Daniel chapter five and examine the handwriting on the wall… a message written by God that has great application to us today.

We begin Daniel chapter three on today’s program. King Nebuchadnezzer is about to build a gold statue and command everyone to bow down to the image or die in a fiery furnace. It’s interesting to observe how he used music to move the people!

Today we open Daniel chapter two. If you’ll recall Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, which Daniel is now interpreting. We want to focus today on the fourth kingdom in this dream, described as iron mixed with clay. It has ten toes! Pastor James Kaddis believes this is speaking of a Revived Roman Empire that will assemble at the time of the end. They’ll hand the reigns over to the final antichrist! As you carefully examine current events, you can see all of this coming together in an amazing way!

Daniel is about to come along with the interpretation, and in so doing reveals a general timeline for all of history, near and far! Including a revived Roman empire that will consist of 10 nations!
