This ONE Prayer Changed my Life Years Later...
Sid Roth: Hello, Sid Roth here. Welcome to my world where it’s naturally supernatural. What happens when a Jewish New Age rock band manager encounters the living God? No contest, God wins next.
I’ve thought for myself in every area of life but one. I knew nothing until I discovered a realm where the truth isn’t what it seems, a realm where the truth becomes reality. I’ve spent over 50 years investigating the world of the supernatural. Every moment has led up to the main event. Millions of Jewish people will be saved all over the world. God’s heart is for all to believe, for none to perish. It’s called the Greater Glory. Do you believe? It’s supernatural.
Welcome Holy Spirit. Go and flow. My guest, Bob Wolf, has experienced many supernatural encounters. Raised in a Reformed Jewish home, he was influenced by a prophetic voice that led him to accept Messiah as a young man. In the 1960s, he was shaped by the peace and love and hippie era but came to know the God he loved and understands the importance of Israel and the dynamic that occurs when Jewish people and Gentiles have unity. What was it like growing up in a Reformed Jewish home? Take me back a little bit.
Bob Wolf: It was fabulous. I had two wonderful parents and they were very liberal. We went to temple on Sundays, not Saturdays.
Sid Roth: That is liberal.
Bob Wolf: That’s very liberal. We weren’t the only temple; there were others that did the same. Then we had a spirit-filled believing nanny named Amanda, whose full name was Amanda Matilda Irene Lenny Floyd Turner. We called her "The Boss."
Sid Roth: I like the way when you call her just by her first two names, Amanda Matilda. I like that.
Bob Wolf: She was great. She would be in the kitchen all the time, humming and just loving Jesus. I had two wonderful Jewish parents, and there was a lot of love in our house.
Sid Roth: Amanda was a praying woman. Explain what you meant by that.
Bob Wolf: She would move in the Spirit. She would even say she would travel in the Spirit, and then she would tell me things about what people were doing. I remember when my sister was over in India, and she would say, "Your sister is doing this or that." Then we’d get a phone call a couple of days later, and there was my sister, Barb, and she was telling us exactly what Amanda had said. I was seeing the gifts of the Spirit at work from the time I was little.
Sid Roth: Now, good parents, a good person taking care of you, you go to college and a lot changed. What happened?
Bob Wolf: I started smoking stuff. I had way too much fun, and I stayed pretty much stoned for about the next 10 or 12 years.
Sid Roth: Were you part of what was called the hippie movement?
Bob Wolf: Oh yeah, I was managing a rock and roll band in there. A very talented group of guys. We finally went out to Los Angeles seeking fame and fortune, and I tell everybody we were zero for two.
Sid Roth: But at 25, there was an encounter you had with the Messiah of Israel. Tell me about that.
Bob Wolf: First of all, I was in a hotel room on the poor side of Los Angeles, the east side in the industrial area. I was out there on a business trip, and I was in a really crummy motel room. I didn’t know the city; I didn’t know where I should stay and I ended up in this room. I don’t even think the sheets were clean on the bed. It was awful.
There was an evangelist or a pastor on television, and I got down on my knees and I accepted Jesus. A nice Jewish boy. He made sense. He was speaking to my heart, and I knew I needed help. I asked Jesus into my life, and then that was it. I didn't do anything.
Sid Roth: Several years later, you had an encounter with the Holy Spirit in the middle of the night.
Bob Wolf: I woke up about 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning and I didn't know it at that time, but I later found out I was being baptized in the Holy Spirit. I was in ecstasy. I never felt so marvelous. I had nothing to compare it to. I lifted up the covers on my bed and underneath, it was all filled with light. I couldn't tell if the light was coming into me or out of me or around me or through me. I had no idea, but I knew whatever it was, it was wonderful. I could tell that every cell in my body was being cleansed and purified.
Sid Roth: But you still hadn't gotten into the Bible. So seven years later, you start. Why did you start? You started going to church, too.
Bob Wolf: I didn't know what had happened to me when I got baptized in the Holy Spirit and didn't really change much after that. But seven years later, I knew my life was not going where I wanted it to go. My career was upside down. I didn't have a girlfriend and felt like whatever it was that I was supposed to be doing here, it just wasn't happening for me.
I literally cried out to God and I said, "If you're there, I could use some help." The Lord spoke to me. He said, "Read the New Testament." It wasn't audible and I wasn't sure. So I said, "I'm a nice Jewish boy from Chicago. If that's you, God, would you repeat yourself?" And He did. He said, "Read the New Testament." I went, "I think I better read the New Testament." Good thinking.
So I did. I was all New Age and séances and tarot cards and all the rest of that stuff and getting high. I went, "Oh my goodness, this is not the Jesus that the New Age movement was representing." This idea of Jesus and the God of peace and love was something that had been manufactured. It was not biblically based. Here I was reading it in Scripture, and I went, "I love this Jesus. This is a whole different person than the one that I thought I knew about." That's where I really came to faith and that's where things changed for me, and I started going to church.
Sid Roth: Then the fears you were dealing with turned into reverence. How did New Age and rock music play into your finding God?
Bob Wolf: What happened was I had been so misled for so long. A counterfeit is a counterfeit of something authentic, but you never saw the authentic, so you settled for the New Age counterfeit. That's right, until I got into the Church on the Way and Pastor Jack Hayford was dividing the Word. I went, "Oh my goodness, here's somebody who really knows what they're talking about." Every time they opened up the door after that, I was just in there. I couldn't get enough of it.
I ended up going to seminary. I was at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. Art Glasser, who was the Dean Emeritus of the School of World Mission, looked at me one day and said, "Bob, you haven't made your mark yet." I realized he was right. I had spent a lot of time living, but I was just frivolous and I wasn't growing. I realized that all this time that I had been taking the drugs and so on, that I stopped growing emotionally. I wasn't maturing.
Sid Roth: Is this the point where you fully surrendered?
Bob Wolf: I believe so, because that's when I wanted to make a mark. I wanted to do something that would honor God and honor the Kingdom. I was in a class with Professor Roy Hayden, and he actually talked about the Passover in that class. He described the Passover as the pinnacle of the Old Testament.
I had a vision of the Paramount Pictures-type of mountain with that array of stars over the top of it. I could see it superimposed on top of the Old Testament, which I like to call the First Testament because I don't think it's old. That lifted off of the pages and then it was moved over and set on top of the New Testament. I began to see the distinct parallels between the First Testament and the New Testament and how, especially in the Passover, how those lined up.
The two greatest events in the history of humanity happened at the Passover. There's not only getting Israel out of Egypt and the Red Sea parting, but then you have the death and the resurrection of Jesus, Yeshua, happening in the New Testament. You see the parallel between the Last Supper and even Passover in Exodus.
Sid Roth: So you wrote a book, and the book is called "Have You Seen the Lamb?".
Bob Wolf: That's where I really got inspired.
Sid Roth: Is this your defining hour? We are at the infancy stage of what God calls the Greater Glory. It's your time to rise and walk in the supernatural power and be the fire starter of the next move of God's Spirit. You are part of that global greater golden glory. Be right back.
Messianic Vision has been creating historic, supernatural, and the most amazing mass Jewish evangelism resources. I must highlight just a few of my favorites. Imagine Times Square, bigger than life, Jewish faces on our billboard with a stunning message: "I am Jewish and I believe in Jesus." Estimates are more than 21 million have seen it as they pass by.
I produced a pioneering series of 60-second Jewish evangelism ads proving Jesus is the Jewish Messiah. They aired on Fox News, MSNBC, and Newsmax. These ads were viewed by millions. In the ad, I offered a free digital download of a book God gave me in a dream called "They Thought for Themselves." This book is about Jewish people who discovered Jesus as Messiah. It generated 70,000 visits, including 34,000 from Israel, many of them Jewish, who now believe it's okay to believe in Jesus as Messiah.
Our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok channels now have nearly 7 million subscribers. Even before the recent Israel-Iran war, God told me to build and install bomb shelters in Israel. We have installed and completed 275 and more are on the way. Together, let's pray for the peace of Jerusalem. You will have heart peace that loves Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). I am so appreciative of your prayers and your generous gifts that help us remain cutting edge. Your gift allows us to pioneer many more God-inspired initiatives to reach Jewish and non-Jewish people all over the world. Call or go to sidroth.org/give.
There was a famous evangelist that said, "Something good is going to happen to you." I say to those viewing: something good is about ready to happen to you. I'm just curious, studio audience, I felt such a tremendous peace of God on this show so far. Are any of you feeling that peace of God like me? When I said that, God spoke to me and said someone watching the show and in the studio audience has a neck pain. I want anyone with a neck pain to bend their head either way and see if the pain is gone. Test it. You're not going to know unless you test it. If you had it and you didn’t test it, then be a pain in the neck. No, I didn't say that.
Out of curiosity, did someone have a neck ache and the pain is gone? Raise your hand if the pain is gone from your neck. Just stand up so people can see you. You don't have to come forward. How long did you have the pain? All your life? Wow. Thank you, Jesus.
Because of that, I'm going to tell you one more thing. There's someone in the studio audience and at home—if you will do what I say, if you have any pain in your back, otherwise go see your chiropractor—but I've got a better deal. If you have any pain in your back, get up right now if you're seated at home or if you're in the studio audience and bend over. That's the only way you'll know. If you have a pain in the back, keep it or stand up and bend over and watch what God's going to do. Now there's more than one person. Come on now.
God may not show off anymore if you're not going to test yourselves. Someone's had a bike accident, too. Someone's had a bike accident, hurt their right hip and their right knee. I don't know if it's here or if it's on television, but someone's landed on their right hip and also hurt their right knee in the bike accident and it is being healed. I knew you had a word, so I'm glad you spoke it out.
Your gift will help us continue pioneering Jewish and Muslim evangelism and support the broadcasting of impactful evangelistic programs worldwide. To give right now, go to sidroth.org/give. You teach a lot about the importance of Jews that believe in the Messiah and Gentiles that believe in the Messiah working together as a team. Elaborate a little on that.
Bob Wolf: It’s always been God’s plan. He originally started with the Jews to be His example. Being chosen for Jews was not a matter of superiority; it was a matter of selection to be exemplary so that we could see how God moved. We could see how He blessed Israel when they did the right thing and how He got upset when they didn’t. Being Jewish was no advantage other than being put under the magnifying glass. Our relationship with God is just as intimate whether you are Jewish or not.
But that’s where we got to see the picture of how God moved. Then He goes to the New Testament, and the Passover is the perfect example of how He moved originally to get the Jews out of Egypt. Then He brings His Son in the Passover, the resurrection, where now the church becomes open to the Gentiles. Because when Jesus dies on the cross, that’s when when you look into the Holy of Holies, you see that thick curtain that's the width of a handbreadth. It says that that curtain tore from the top down to the bottom, which you couldn't do in the natural; it could only happen in the supernatural.
What is behind that curtain? It is the most holy place. It is the Holy of Holies. It’s where the Ark of the Covenant is that we didn't have access to, going all the way back to the tabernacle that Moses had in the desert. No one was allowed access to that. Only Moses, first of all, and then later on, only the priest, and he could only go in one day a year, and that was on the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. That was left behind the curtain. That’s when the priest goes in, and that’s when we encountered the Ark of the Covenant.
Now the curtain’s torn. What does that mean? That means that everybody has access to this holy relationship with God. What changed? Jesus died on the cross. That changed everything for every person forever. That’s the magnitude of what this is. This is the time when God says, "I am now opening up the door so that everyone can have this personal relationship."
Sid Roth: Would you pray for people viewing right now that aren’t sure, that don't have a personal relationship or experiential knowledge of God? Look in the camera.
Bob Wolf: The price was paid for you. We were separated from God because of our sin. It’s why He took Adam and Eve out of the garden. It’s why He took Israel out of Egypt. We had to do certain things to satisfy a holy God that didn't want anything standing between us and Him. When He sends His Son to be the Passover sacrificial Lamb, who dies on the cross for you and me, that’s when the blood price was paid, the perfect sin offering so that there would be nothing between us and God.
Your salvation is as simple as recognizing what Yeshua, Jesus, did for you on the cross. When He died, what was standing between you and God was torn open, and you have full access to the God of the universe, the one who created you and me. I would ask you to receive what God has offered you. All you have to do is to receive it and to believe on the one who He sent, and you have eternal life with the maker of heaven and earth. Amen.
Sid Roth: Bob loves to tell Jewish people about the Messiah, and many people would love to tell Jewish people about the Messiah. He usually asks a question that is the springboard to lead Jewish people to the Messiah. The question is: Could Jesus be the Passover Lamb? Could Jesus be the Passover Lamb?
Bob Wolf: I certainly think so. I know you do.
Sid Roth: Absolutely. Tell me one thing you would tell a Jewish person as to why Jesus is the Passover Lamb.
Bob Wolf: The first thing I would say is consider why it is that you have been told not to study Jesus. Why would you have been told not to read the New Testament? What’s there for you to be afraid of? What happened is we’ve taken what people have done to us in the name of God and tried to use the name of God to persecute people. Because of that, we have rejected Jesus.
What these people were doing when they were persecuting Jews was not what God wanted us to do, even though people were claiming it was God doing it. It was not God behind it; that was man, and that was our enemy. God has always wanted to be in relationship with us. Therefore, when we ask the Jewish person, "Could Jesus be the sacrificial Lamb, the Passover Lamb?", it now opens them up to the reality that the Last Supper was, in fact, the Passover meal.
That’s why Jesus represents the Lamb of God. It is through that relationship that we have this eternal relationship that we have with God. It tears down the wall of separation. This is Ephesians chapter 2. There’s a wall of separation between Jews and the other nations. God says that when Jesus dies on the cross, that wall is destroyed. That’s what that curtain represents, is that wall, not just between us and God but also between us and each other. He always wanted us to be one, united, in one family—always God’s plan and intention. This is why that sacrificial Lamb is so important, because in the sacrifice, everything that stands between us and God and us and each other is eliminated forever.
Sid Roth: Say this prayer, and you’ll be opening the door for the ride of your life as long as you're on this side of heaven. It’ll be the closest to being in heaven as you can on earth. Repeat out loud with me, studio audience, audience at home:
Dear God, I'm a sinner for which I'm so sorry. I believe the blood of Jesus washes me clean. And now that I'm clean, Jesus, come and live inside of me. Thank you for saving me from my sins. Thank you for living inside of me. I now make you my Lord. Amen.

About It's Supernatural!
It's Supernatural! deals with subjects that most shy away from in this seeker-sensitive age. It emphasizes the supernatural, biblical viewpoint that the secular networks do not understand. And at the end of each program, host, Sid Roth, tells the viewers how they can have intimacy with God.
About Sid Roth
Sid Roth, host of It's Supernatural! television program, is a Jewish believer in Jesus the Messiah. In 1977 Sid started a ministry called Messianic Vision and a nationally syndicated radio broadcast by the same name (he started the TV program in the 1990's). But the Messianic Vision is more than a ministry or a program; it is a desire to reach out with the good news of the Messiah "to the Jew first" (Romans 1:16). This is not just God's historical order for spreading the gospel, but also His eternal spiritual order. When we follow this "law of evangelism," God opens a supernatural door to reach large numbers of Gentiles (even more than if we had gone to the Gentile first). God's heart is to reach all people. His strategy is "to the Jew first."
