People Are Healed When She Sings THIS Song From Heaven
Sid Roth: Hello, Sid Roth here. Welcome to my world, where it's naturally supernatural. My Jewish guest was ready to give up on life at age eight. But then, God spoke destiny into her life. Next.
Michelle Gold: I've fought for myself in every area of life. But one. I knew nothing until I discovered a realm where the truth isn't what it seems. A realm where the truth becomes reality. I've spent over 50 years investigating the world of the supernatural. Every moment has led up to the main event. Millions of Jewish people will be saved all over the world. God's heart is for all to believe, for none to perish. It's called the greater glory. Do you believe? It's supernatural.
Sid Roth: Welcome, Holy Spirit. Go and flow. Michelle Gold grew up in Brooklyn, New York. One of my favorite places is, Michelle, and came from a Jewish family of singers. She had a really happy childhood. Uh, explain a bit about your upbringing and your family.
Michelle Gold: I grew up in the most fun family in the world. It was the golden era of fun in my house. So, my living room was the stage, right? And if you were in my neighborhood and you came over, you were going to sit on the couch, have some 'intimens' cake, and get a free entertainment performance.
Sid Roth: It was really a happy time for you.
Michelle Gold: It was, like, I'm talking like, really charismatic. We would, actually, very passionate, we would actually dance after movies were played. My parents made me sing everywhere.
Sid Roth: By the way, I have to act like a rabbi right now.
Michelle Gold: Oh.
Sid Roth: Were both of your parents Jewish?
Michelle Gold: They certainly were. My dad was Ukrainian Jewish, my mother was Polish Jewish. My dad was first generation and even was born at a time the Holocaust was going on. He was in New York City. However, you know, he felt the, the width of that.
Sid Roth: But this ideal childhood at about age eight changed dramatically for you. What happened?
Michelle Gold: See, what happened is when I turned eight years old, I saw some behavior that was like, my life was like the Goldilocks story. Remember the Goldilocks story, right? When it was hot, it was very, very hot. When it was cold, it was too cold. So, my mother was hot-tempered, and my dad was so cold, he was negative, very pessimistic. Toys R Us. We went down to Toys R Us. I- I had a choice between a sliding pond and a doll. I love dolls. This was my payment for singing, by the way. And so, my mom, my mom and I were at Toys R Us and I couldn't make a decision. My indecision drove her to drag me to the bathroom and tear me down, like, wrestle me down to the floor.
I think it was, it was bipolar, but we know now it might have been epilepsy as well.
Sid Roth: How does an eight-year-old process something like that?
Michelle Gold: That's the thing. It's like, I promised myself I wouldn't cry, but she would, she would take her hands and like, they would convulse. I don't know what the word is. She would grit her teeth. God bless her, I mean, I know she didn't mean it. And, um, she would wrestle me down to the ground and pull my hair. That's just one thing, and then the next day she was my best friend. She was generous. She was taking me to the mall.
Sid Roth: The rules would change.
Michelle Gold: Oh, crazy. The next day, she would, she would, she loved to spend money on me. I was a spoiled brat. Let me tell you. But my father was the cold, negative.
Sid Roth: Opposites attract.
Michelle Gold: Oh my gosh. One day, I was at the refrigerator. I was a little older now, but I was bending down to get some fruit, and my dad took it upon himself to just tear me up. My dad said...
Sid Roth: Say that like you.
Michelle Gold: Don't get fat like your mother. That tore me up. And then he said, he heard I was hoarse. Cuz Sid, I was screaming all the time. If your mother was coming at you and wrestling you to the ground at odd moments of the day, your voice would be gone too. You're always hoarse. You're never gonna make it. So, at eight years old, I cried out to God. Sid, I was in my bedroom.
Sid Roth: What did you say?
Michelle Gold: I looked up and I just said, "God, wherever you are, like, whatever you are, I just want to die."
Sid Roth: She's a young child. That's awful.
Michelle Gold: I was just broken. My father and brother didn't get along either and I saw them fight so much. It- it hurt.
Sid Roth: But God spoke back when you... What did you say?
Michelle Gold: I heard his voice. How cool is that? In my room, I heard, I, I looked out the window first, cuz I thought I could just jump right out there. "Michelle Gold, you cannot die. I have a plan and a purpose for your life. You're gonna sing and you're gonna write songs. And those songs are gonna bring healing to the world." To the world. And I said, "Okay, I vow to serve you, God, whoever you are. I'm going to live for you." I felt safe all of a sudden. And, uh, to know that my life had purpose and meaning.
Sid Roth: Let's shift.
Michelle Gold: Yeah.
Sid Roth: Michelle, is a Jew living in pretty much a non-Jewish, Italian area. Uh, you experienced a lot of antisemitism growing up.
Michelle Gold: Yeah.
Sid Roth: Tell me a little bit about it.
Michelle Gold: Well, for some reason, everyone at school hated me. Um...
Sid Roth: Did they ever say to you the Jews killed Jesus?
Michelle Gold: Yeah. Yeah, "You killed Jesus." So, that was it.
Sid Roth: Did you have any idea what they were talking about?
Michelle Gold: No, and I'm sorry that I didn't.
Sid Roth: You don't really know the Messiah. But you go down to Florida. How old are you about then?
Michelle Gold: 15.
Sid Roth: All right. 15. You go visit your Jewish cousin in Florida.
Michelle Gold: Yes.
Sid Roth: But somehow you think, uh, you can be the next Madonna.
Michelle Gold: Exactly.
Sid Roth: You have a conversation. He tells you something that you've never heard before. What did he say?
Michelle Gold: Beautiful. Cousin tells me, "Hey, did you know Jesus, Yeshua is a Jewish Messiah? That he healed the blind, that he made the deaf hear." And I'm like, "Um, why don't we Jews believe in him?" You know, in my Brooklyn voice. "Hey, so why don't we..." And he goes, "I don't know."
Sid Roth: When we return, Michelle will share a miracle that totally changed her destiny. And I might add, this miracle will change your destiny. Be right back.
Sid Roth: So, at age 15, Michelle gives her heart to Jesus. Uh, she, uh, goes back home. She has, buys a Bible. She has a bike. She goes, herself, to- to church.
Michelle Gold: Mhm.
Sid Roth: Uh, but now she says, "This is so wonderful. I want to tell my parents." How did they react? Remember, her nice Jewish parents.
Michelle Gold: Oh, yeah. Are you kidding me?
Sid Roth: But they weren't religious.
Michelle Gold: Oh my gosh. You know, after all that my father would had seen in his lifetime with Jewish people, Jesus was forbidden in my family. Maybe there's a heaven. So, my father had a fit. Oh my gosh. He says, "My, my, my family's gonna turn over in their graves." And he had all the aunts call and they started to threaten they were gonna sit Shiva for me, which is, you know, a ceremony for the dead.
Sid Roth: I- in a Jewish home, when a Jewish person turns to Jesus, in a religious home family, they feel like the child has died and is no no longer exists. And some even cut their child off.
Michelle Gold: Oh.
Sid Roth: Uh, but so they get you together with the rabbi. What did the rabbi say? What did the rabbi say?
Michelle Gold: They send me to the rabbi, this- this Orthodox. I packed my bags. This is a whole weekend, Sid. "Why isn't Yeshua the Messiah?" I asked him. You know what he said? "Look at my books. Don't you think I would know?" I mean, that's just ridiculous.
Sid Roth: He, in other words, he had so many books on religious prayers. He knows more than you.
Michelle Gold: He thought he was Google. Yeah, exactly.
Sid Roth: Oh, okay. Then then you, uh, your parents don't give up. They set up with a deprogrammer.
Michelle Gold: Yeah. Okay. The last day they put me with this, uh, Christian who decide to leave her faith. And she told me, "I think you should not believe in Yeshua." So, I denied Yeshua. Oh, Lord, forgive me. We went to a Yom Kippur service and I denied him, but I couldn't forget him. I was stricken. I was like filled with thoughts about, I think I did the wrong thing. I shouldn't have denied him, and I was so confused.
Sid Roth: You go to New York, you're studying music. All of a sudden, you have nodules on your throat.
Michelle Gold: Yeah.
Sid Roth: So you, you can't sing.
Michelle Gold: Lost my voice.
Sid Roth: That's your whole career. You lost everything.
Michelle Gold: Everything.
Sid Roth: Everything that was important to you.
Michelle Gold: And right before that, I was opening for Gladys Knight. I got the coveted Lena Horne scholarship, one of the greatest jazz singers who ever lived.
Sid Roth: So, fortunately, you had surgery.
Michelle Gold: I had a miracle.
Sid Roth: Not only your voice came back, but...
Michelle Gold: Eight notes higher. What the heck? What the heck?
Sid Roth: Um...
Michelle Gold: And Sid, I didn't just lose my voice for a year. This vocal loss had been going on since I was about eight or 11. Cuz remember I told you about the screaming? And so this was like, oh my gosh. So the surgery was so miraculous. Eight notes higher. My vocal therapist, she was an Israeli. She said, "I don't know what happened. I, I don't know." But I like, it was amazing.
Sid Roth: Now, to order a digital copy of Michelle's book, Finding Gold, life lessons from a little Jewish girl, plus an audio download called God's Destiny for Your Life, go to sidroth.org/4204D. Now, Michelle, you've had some ups and downs.
Michelle Gold: Yes.
Sid Roth: But the most important thing is you know that Yeshua, Hebrew for Jesus, is, he's real. He's personal. You can have experience. As a matter of fact, you know what, Michelle, I would like you to go to the music set and prove the miracle that your voice was even better after the surgery. We I release you now to go to that set.
Michelle Gold: Amen.
Sid Roth: But I'm going to tell you something. You know, it's wonderful that Michelle's life was turned around in such a good way. It's wonderful that I went from a Jewish person that would have ended up in life in prison, or in insane asylum, or even dead, to doing what I'm doing today, which is the passion of my life, telling people that God is real, telling people that Yeshua is the Messiah, not just for the Gentiles, but for the Gentiles and the Jews, the whole world.
I as a Jew believe there's one God. He's called the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, for the whole world. And there's one Messiah for the whole world. His the his name, the Jew, Yeshua. I want you to know him. I want you to And not just know him here. I want you to have experiential knowledge of the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the purpose you came to earth. Have you ever felt there's something missing? You may know intellectually that Jesus is the Messiah. Or you may have been told that I'm a Jew and I can't or a Muslim, and, uh, and we believe just in in one God, not God the Father, God the Son. Doesn't matter what you've been told. Is something missing in your life? Do you feel an emptiness on the inside? Have you ever cried out, "God, there must be something more"? Repeat this prayer out loud, and this is your first step in experiencing the living God. Repeat these words after me out loud. So you, you can do that too. Repeat after me, "Dear God..."
Congregation: Dear God.
Sid Roth: "I've made many mistakes in my life."
Congregation: I've made many mistakes in my life.
Sid Roth: "And I'm so sorry."
Congregation: And I'm so sorry.
Sid Roth: "I believe the blood of Jesus"
Congregation: I believe the blood of Jesus
Sid Roth: "Has washed me clean."
Congregation: Has washed me clean.
Sid Roth: "And now that I'm clean."
Congregation: And now that I'm clean.
Sid Roth: "Jesus, come and live inside of me."
Congregation: Jesus, come and live inside of me.
Sid Roth: "I make you my Messiah and Lord."
Congregation: I make you my Messiah and Lord.
Sid Roth: "Amen."
Congregation: Amen.
Sid Roth: Now, Michelle got a revelation about presenting the good news, the Gospel, to the Jew first. Explain, Michelle.
Michelle Gold: You know, I think it's, I didn't want to share my faith with my own people because I myself am stubborn, and I just, I'm going to be honest with you. Can I tell you a secret? I wanted people to like me. And you know, you know, last year at this time, I was talking to the Lord, and I, I admitted because I believe we should speak to the speak to God about what ails us, you know? And I said, "God, I want people to like me." And you know what he said? "You want people to like you, but I want people to like me. If they like you, they might have a few moments of joy. But if they love me, they will have life, eternal life. They will go from death to life. They will go from sickness to healing. They will go from emptiness to wholeness." And I said, "Okay, Lord, here I am. Heini, send me." Just like Isaiah. God takes us when we're unclean and he makes us clean. God restored my life and he can restore your life too.
The point is that when he restores us and makes us clean, we go from victim to vessel. Like the story of Goldilocks, God gave me the just right. I was able to sit down with my parents for a meal. We were able to reconcile. They treated me like gold, like my name. And they treated my children like gold. They invested in my ministry. God rest their beautiful souls, Ruth and Hy Gold. I love them so much, and that is one of the greatest miracles. He restored my voice and my heart. And my relationship with my parents. And you know what the true blessing is, is not the fame, it's the service. The true gold is God's love and healing, and the ability to serve others. I love you all today as you're watching. I'm here for you. That's the gold. The gold is that I'm his vessel, and I'm telling you, the sign for gold on the chemistry table is AU. I'm saying, AU, listen to me. God is calling you. It's your time. Believe in Yeshua HaMashiach, your Messiah. So, you can be a vessel too. He'll take your bitterness and turn it to betterness. And you can say, "Heini, send me" when he says, "Who will go?"
Michelle Gold: (singing)
Michelle Gold: Manavu al hei harim, raglēy mavaseir. How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him bringing good news. Mashiach Yeshua, Mashiach Shalom. Proclaim to Zion. Yeshua! Proclaim to Zion. Shalom! Oh, the Lord adores His people. But who will answer His call? If not me, then who will be waiting watchmen on His walls? And if I remain silent and the only moment we have is peace. Who will be God's voice calling, even though we remain? Who will go? Who will go and bring the bread of Heaven, bring the water from the well? I must tell. I must tell Israel. Who will go? Who will go and bring the wine and the oil that you cannot buy for sale. I must tell. I must tell Israel. Who will dare to defy the darkness, breathe life into the dead? Who will say, 'Heini, may me, send me'? Heini, Adonai Olam. Who will be the hands and the feet of Him who pursues us even after we run? Bringing God's comfort and healing to Jerusalem. Who will go? Who will go and bring the bread of Heaven, bring the water from the well? I must tell. I must tell Israel. Who will go? Who will go and bring the wine and the oil that you cannot buy for sale. I must tell. I must tell Israel. Let us pray for the urgency to rise and allow no sleep to our weary eyes till all of Israel is saved. Each mother, father and child. Who will go? Who will go and bring the wine and the oil that you cannot buy for sale. I must tell. I must tell Israel. Who will go? Who will go? I must tell Israel.

About It's Supernatural!
It's Supernatural! deals with subjects that most shy away from in this seeker-sensitive age. It emphasizes the supernatural, biblical viewpoint that the secular networks do not understand. And at the end of each program, host, Sid Roth, tells the viewers how they can have intimacy with God.
About Sid Roth
Sid Roth, host of It's Supernatural! television program, is a Jewish believer in Jesus the Messiah. In 1977 Sid started a ministry called Messianic Vision and a nationally syndicated radio broadcast by the same name (he started the TV program in the 1990's). But the Messianic Vision is more than a ministry or a program; it is a desire to reach out with the good news of the Messiah "to the Jew first" (Romans 1:16). This is not just God's historical order for spreading the gospel, but also His eternal spiritual order. When we follow this "law of evangelism," God opens a supernatural door to reach large numbers of Gentiles (even more than if we had gone to the Gentile first). God's heart is to reach all people. His strategy is "to the Jew first."
