Clay had a 24-hour encounter with the glory of God. Shonda, a living miracle. She once was completely paralyzed. Now, from Hudson, Ethiopia, to homes in Arkansas, they're at the center of a global TikTok revival.

Shonda Stubbs: Yes.

Clay Stubbs: Yes, Sid, tell me about it.

Clay Stubbs: Yes, I guess at the age of five, my mom led me to Jesus, walking around the home, just praying in tongues, teaching us how to pray.

Sid Roth: Both of you had a heritage, a long family heritage of believers. What was that?

Clay Stubbs: Yes, at least five generations. My mom carried us to all kinds of Holy Ghost meetings, like RW Shambach and I mean, any prayer meeting where we could get prophesied over. And then, of course, I've never met a human like my grandfather Stubbs. GA Stubbs never in his entire life, until the last very few days on Earth, did he even go to a doctor. He never went to a clinic. He never even took a pill for any headaches.

Clay Stubbs: That impartation was great to me. And of course, Leroy Glover on my mom's side, another grandfather who couldn't even read in the 50s, was preaching tent revivals, seeing miracles.

Sid Roth: How was he preaching tent revivals if he couldn't even read the Bible?

Clay Stubbs: Exactly, that was supernatural for sure. Amen.

Sid Roth: At 13, you're minding your own business in front of a liquor store?

Clay Stubbs: Sid, this was part of that impartation. We were going out and everybody loved cruising back in those days. It was Cherry Street and the Sonic and all the teenagers and those who wanted to be teenagers that could drive, they would cruise. And we were there to witness for Jesus.

Clay Stubbs: So me and two men in the church, he carried a cross. This guy looked like, you know, he had just broke out of prison and he had a big beard. And he said, I'm going to carry the cross and we're going to tell people about Jesus. And at the end of that moment, I said, I'm so hungry to be baptized in the spirit of the Lord. Guys, can you lay hands on me right here and now?

Clay Stubbs: And those guys laid hands on me and had to hold me up. I began to speak in another language that was not of my own. It was a heavenly language. The fire filled my belly. And I tell you, I turned around and people were honking at me and hollering out of the window. This man has got to have a seizure. He's he's got a seizure. And I I turned around and I said, oh boy, I'm in front of a liquor store.

Sid Roth: You were marked. And that's actually the right word.

Clay Stubbs: Yes, sir.

Sid Roth: You were marked by God's glory.

Clay Stubbs: Amen. Yes, about the summer of 2009, I remember waking up. Oddly enough, I was a prison chaplain. I had to drive 45 minutes to work and back. And it was a it was a moment where as I got up, Sid, there was a heavy, heavy coat on me.

Clay Stubbs: Uh, it was light, but heavy. Had I not experienced some of the presence of the Lord, I would have went to the ER. It was so heavy and real, I didn't know if I was going to be able to drive to work. I thought this is different. So as I get to to work, I thought, well, this is not faded out. You know, I grew up where you get a little courtesy touch of the Lord and go home and yeah, you're good. Well,

Sid Roth: Was this when you were working at the prison?

Clay Stubbs: I was working at the prison as I'm carrying this weight of glory. And it was fun because all of a sudden, I started feeling intense heat in my hand as I'm walking through the halls. And I thought, okay, I get it now. So right before God, you are trying to do something or tell me something, I'm feeling and experiencing something I never have.

Clay Stubbs: So, uh, inmates walk down the halls all the time and when they see us chaplains, they they get excited. So here comes one, he's walking fast to me. Hey, chap, I got pain in my back and I just really would like for you guys to pray. I've injured my back. I I don't know what to do. And they just kind of move on usually. Not this time. Not this time.

Clay Stubbs: I said, in the name of Jesus, I command all pain, get out of your body, and your back be made whole right now. This man thought he saw a ghost. He looks around and says, I don't know what you're doing and what you have on you, but every pain in my body is gone. The Lord has touched me.

Clay Stubbs: Amen. And he took off running and said, I'm out of here. So we started seeing deaf ears open. Uh, one by one, miracles started breaking out in the prison, legs growing out, uh, just a tremendous move of the Lord.

Sid Roth: I want to transition now. Clay, what is happening through TikTok?

Clay Stubbs: Well, the Lord takes the foolish and he confounds the wise. I didn't want to be on TikTok.

Sid Roth: Well, you look like a TikTok rock star.

Clay Stubbs: Well, thank you, Sid, for your confidence. Well, TikTok exploded. You know, we we prayed, Shonda and I prayed, Lord, send us to the nations. And God says, guess what? The nations, I'm going to send to you in your hands. Right here in your living room.

Clay Stubbs: And guess what? That began to happen. We turned on that phone and Shonda said, you got to have a thousand followers to go live. I said, you got it. Boom. That happens. We go live and we just began to release the power of the living God on people. We had a man who had a flesh flesh-eating bacteria came upon his body.

Clay Stubbs: He's he showed me pictures of of of his flesh falling off to the point there was such a stench that people in his own family were leaving him.

Sid Roth: It almost sounds like the Bible refers to leprosy.

Clay Stubbs: Yes, that's what he he referred to it just like leprosy. He was hospitalized. He almost went sepsis. All of a sudden, he's watching us and goes, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, touch, touch, touch. And then all of a sudden, the Lord speaks to him and says, what if you are the one he's talking to?

Clay Stubbs: And he stretched forth his hand on the TikTok and the power of the Lord comes on him and he wakes up the next morning and his hands are normal, Sid. He his hands are healed. In in an instant, the Lord touches him. We had we had a lady from Kansas City. She is literally borrowing Wi-Fi. She's homeless. And the reason why she's homeless, she can't work.

Clay Stubbs: Why can't she work? Well, her hip is out of place. She's chatting. I can't even see her, but she's on the TikTok telling me, I have a leg problem, a hip problem, and I can't even go to work and I'm homeless, but I'm borrowing Wi-Fi. And suddenly, I come in contact with your TikTok. All of a sudden, we command her to be healed. Her leg grows out.

Clay Stubbs: And the Lord touches her, restores her, and she starts running down the streets without a jacket. She said it's at least 30 below, it feels like here. And the Lord touches her so marvelous that she later, one month later, she said, God is now giving me a home. He has restored my family. I have a new job. I'm able to walk now.

Clay Stubbs: And guess what, Sid, she said, I'm going into the ministry. I'm going to college now to do exactly what you're doing. I want to tell people about Jesus.

Sid Roth: Shonda was raised in a home where the supernatural was natural.

Shonda Stubbs: Yes.

Sid Roth: Singing at two, hearing Jesus call her name at five, seeing into the invisible world at nine, becoming a worship leader, and then a car accident leaves her completely paralyzed. Uh, was it from the waist down or

Shonda Stubbs: I was completely paralyzed, and then I regained feeling from waist up, but from waist down was still paralyzed.

Sid Roth: And something happened with her vocal cords, severed.

Shonda Stubbs: Yes.

Sid Roth: God asked her one question, will you still praise me? I got severed vocal cords. God, you're asking me to praise you. I can't talk.

Shonda Stubbs: Right.

Sid Roth: Would you do that? Would you praise God in that situation? Be right back.

Sid Roth: Shonda, at nine, you saw Jesus.

Shonda Stubbs: I did.

Sid Roth: I'm 85 and I haven't seen him. What's the matter with me?

Shonda Stubbs: I don't know. I don't know. At first, I did not even recognize that's, you know, at nine, I just I saw a man at the end of my bed. And I was like,

Sid Roth: Were you afraid?

Shonda Stubbs: I wasn't afraid. It was a very peaceful, calming, and I knew something was so holy about that moment, even at nine years old. I felt such a a peace, a calming. And at the end of the bed, this man out-stretched his arms and he said, come follow me. And so, it just was this moment of glory. I don't even know how to explain it. Like, you've seen things in movies that people have tried to portray.

Shonda Stubbs: But what I witnessed there was so much more than I can put into human words. It was the glory wrapped up into this holy moment of just where I felt like I could just was being embraced by a presence. And I was never scared. You know, at nine, you would think strange person at the end of my bed.

Sid Roth: I would have been scared.

Shonda Stubbs: What what is this? Right. And so, but I did wake up. And when I woke up, it was so real that I literally was I remember just touching myself thinking and looking around the room, and I immediately got up, ran into my mother's room, and I was like, there was a man in my room at the end of my bed. And my mom's like, what?

Shonda Stubbs: Because I was so shaken, she knew I was just visibly shaken. And she was like, what do you mean? And so, her and my father had ran into my room, and when they did, they said they smelt the fragrance of roses and a sweet perfume that was in the room. And she said, I knew it was something holy that there was what you were saying. I said, Mom, I'm telling you, it was Jesus at the end of my bed. It was Jesus. I know it was Jesus.

Shonda Stubbs: And so she called my grandfather immediately thinking, he's asking her to come follow him. Is he going to take her? Like, is she going to die? Like, what's going to happen? You know. And my grandfather, that's where I'm so thankful for my heritage because they stewarded such supernatural faith.

Sid Roth: You know, both of you had that heritage. How many generations with both each of you?

Shonda Stubbs: Five generations.

Clay Stubbs: Five generations as well.

Sid Roth: Wow. Go ahead.

Shonda Stubbs: Yeah. And so my grandfather was like, that's the God's calling her. He's got a calling for her life and just steward that. You know, don't don't, you know, mark this with fear. Just begin to embrace it. Let her, you know, go and flow, as you would say, and just in the giftings. And even at that, I remember, Sid, even as small as even the age of two where people would say, there's no way this girl can sing, you know, like she's two, you can barely say a lot of words.

Shonda Stubbs: I would literally get up and sing entire songs, just made up songs. Um, you know, at first, I was singing about stop signs outside, you know, or dogs that I would see. And my grandparents were like, that's prophetic. Just steward the gift in her because she's singing, you know, she's singing about what she sees. And then I begin to sing about the presence of God and how holy he is and how wonderful he is. And just those moments that I can remember just precious looking back on it.

Shonda Stubbs: Now, what I knew, you know, if I knew then what I knew now, you know, how much more I'm so honored that the presence of God is just so tangible like that, but it changed me, shaped me forever, um, to know.

Sid Roth: But to know what? That same presence of God as you're speaking, is coming out of you. It's pouring out of you. Did anyone ever tell you that?

Shonda Stubbs: Yes, sir. It's like when I and that's what I prayed my whole life. Like, I don't want people to see me, God. I want them to see you. And I want them to hear you. So out of out of me, let let you flow because when we empty ourselves and we rid ourselves, then that's when God can come and pour out of us. When we get in the way, then that's when they hear us and we don't make the difference.

Shonda Stubbs: I mean, we can say things that change people, but God miraculously comes and defines everything.

Sid Roth: Now, I I just haven't heard of this. You're at a funeral.

Shonda Stubbs: Yes.

Sid Roth: And you're supernaturally healed. How did that happen? What what happened?

Shonda Stubbs: Well, it was wild, you know, nobody's going

Sid Roth: I don't see anything you do not being wild.

Shonda Stubbs: That is truth. That is truth. Uh, but we're literally there at Clay's uncle's funeral. And I had 13. Up to that point, I had 13 surgeries on my wrist. And, um, part of that being from accident and so accident prone part of this. And they reconstructed it.

Sid Roth: What's the car accident? What was it?

Shonda Stubbs: It was actually a skating accident when I was younger, and then it just was had problems with it my whole life. And then, um, there were screws, then they had to take out the screws and the pins and the plates and all the things back and forth. And then at this very last time that I had injured it, uh, we had gone back in for another surgery and the surgeon came back out and told my husband, there's absolutely nothing else that we can do.

Shonda Stubbs: Like we've done all we can do. She will have no more mobility in this hand. Like, she won't be able to lift anything, her, you know, they fused my wrist where I would not be able to even move my wrist. And at that time, Sid, my my fingers were even pointed downward because of the nerve damage that it had done.

Sid Roth: So so medical science could not help you.

Shonda Stubbs: No, they could not help me at all. So we're sitting there in this funeral, and, you know, the presence of God, you know, it's you're there, but you feel I started feeling the presence of God and I told Clay, I said, Clay, I'm starting to we were we were singing, we're standing on holy ground. And, I mean, you could just feel the presence of God, or I I know I was having an encounter with God right there.

Shonda Stubbs: And I was like, okay, Shonda, you're at a funeral, be respectful, you know, this is very odd. And I began began to feel heat. And, of course, we're both very vocal people and when we recognize the supernatural, what's going on, you know, we like to say something about it. You know, we can't be quiet.

Sid Roth: You feel the heat in your hand?

Shonda Stubbs: I did. I began to feel heat in my wrist. And I tapped Clay and I said, I leaned over and I said, I feel heat in my wrist. And I said, don't say anything because I knew he was going to be like, what, you know, like, let's just pray right here, you know. But I was like,

Clay Stubbs: I was ready.

Shonda Stubbs: He was ready to go and flow, as you say, right there in a funeral. And I was like, let's just be quiet, you know. And it was a Nazarene church and I was like, okay, God, what are you really doing here? So, and I I couldn't wait until the funeral was over to begin to take and I did. And I took my as soon as I did, I took the brace off. I could move because the way that my literally started having mobility and to this day, my fingers, everything, I can move my wrist completely.

Sid Roth: I see. Then Shonda is paralyzed from a car accident. And God asked her, will you still praise me after being paralyzed?

Shonda Stubbs: Yes, sir. So I get emotional about this because I remember I was in the hospital room and after miracles had started transforming and I was at that time still paralyzed from my waist down, but had regained uh feeling from my waist up. But doctors had gone through to relieve my spine from the accident. They had to go through my vocal cords. So they told my husband and my children that if I made it through this, I would be a vegetable, but I would never walk, talk, sing, nothing again, just to to prepare, you know.

Shonda Stubbs: And so, um, I'll never forget, I was sitting there that morning and it was a Sunday morning, Sid, and in my hospital room, I could see cars going by as fast as they could. And I began to have this conversation with God like, God, now, you know I would be in church serving you and I'd be singing and I would be like, I'm reasoning with God, you know, like telling him all the things I've done for him, you know. And this is what I would do. And the Lord specifically, I mean, it was a it was almost a holy rebuke in a way because the Lord said, are you still going to serve me if you don't have any giftings? Like if you can never sing again.

Shonda Stubbs: If you could never walk again or talk again, will you still call me the the Lord of your life and the Master and Savior? Is it not just because of all the things that the giftings that I have allotted on your life? And it was a real moment for me then. I said, God, I love you with every heartbeat. If it's my heart, I'm going to serve you for the rest of my life. If it's my eyes that blink, if you allow them to blink, I will blink for you, Jesus. Whatever it is, I promise you, my breath, my lungs will fill. The air that comes out of me will be praise for you.

Shonda Stubbs: And it was it was a moment of an encounter in that room. The Holy presence came in that room. And within 24 hours, I began to have feeling in my feet. I was able to move. We have video of the first time that my my little toe. It was my first little toe. And I was like, I'm feeling heat. Like, it was an intense heat in my feet. But yes, it began to all over my body. And I and I walked out of that hospital, the same hospital where doctors said you would never walk, talk, anything else again. I walked out of there on my own two feet.
