Overcoming Loneliness

July 6, 2019

“It is not good for the man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). In the beginning, the first thing God declared bad was loneliness, and it still plagues humanity today. In this two-part message, Dr. Stanley first explains how we find ourselves in the desolate landscape of loneliness, challenging us to confront ourselves and the behaviors contributing to our isolation. Then, in the second part, he lays out a clear-cut path to overcoming this involuntary solitary confinement. Loneliness is heavy—but Jesus has promised to relieve us of unnecessary burdens and give us rest (Matt. 11:28).
