Jonah is the perfect example of a man who knew what God was calling him to do, yet resisted God’s call anyway. We often do that, too, don’t we? There are some things we have no problem handing over to Christ, but when it comes to others, we feel we simply can’t let go. We are blessed when our lives are made completely available to Him, and God stands with open arms, inviting us to trust Him.

Timing is important in everything, especially when it comes to our walk of faith. When we wait upon the Lord, we are trusting God to do what appears to be nothing until we hear Him tell us exactly what to do and how to do it. In this message, Dr. Stanley explains why is it wise to wait, how we wait, and the consequences of failing to do so. Waiting isn’t doing nothing. As long as a train stays on the track, it'll keep moving and eventually arrive at its destination. But if it runs out of rails or jumps off them, it becomes useless. The same can be said of believers. Our paths are composed of several basic principles, and if we faithfully put them into practice, we'll experience the blessings God has for those who stay on course. Are you on the right track?
