The Peace Christ Offers At His Coming

December 25, 2017

True, genuine peace can only be made through the blood Jesus poured out on the cross. Don't be deceived by a false sense of contentment. When a follower of Christ knows he has God’s true peace, nothing can alter that inner sense of quietness and stillness in his spirit. The main reason Christ came was to make our lives complete. If Jesus Christ had not come to pay the penalty due for our sins, we would have had to pay it ourselves, because all of us have sinned against Him. But there was another purpose: to reveal the true nature of the Father. Christ was, in fact, God walking in human flesh. If we want to see an accurate picture of God, we must look to Jesus.

Why is it that some people perceive the Christian life as an exciting journey and others see it as a burdensome, unfulfilling existence? Although there are many factors that contribute to how a person experiences their relationship with God, many times an inadequate view of Christ will prevent a person from enjoying the abundant life He offers.   In this message, Dr. Stanley explains what a privilege it is to have Christ as our mediator and advocate and how His role as our High Priest is meant to set us free so we can enjoy an intimate and fruitful relationship with God.
