In this message, Dr. Stanley explains that love expressed through genuine, selfless service to others is the best legacy we can leave. If modern-day judges were asked to select the Old Testament character who best fit the title "Man After God's Own Heart," David would most likely not make the short list.  And yet God Himself bestowed that title upon a former shepherd boy who grew up to be a king and a warrior—not to mention a murderer and adulterer. Learn more about this paradox and the characteristics that made David a man after God's own heart. Take comfort in his story, because you don't have to be perfect to pursue God wholeheartedly.

"Don't just exist—go somewhere. Head upward. I believe God has made all of us to climb." —Charles F. Stanley Feeling stagnant? Need a fresh perspective? You won't find a new outlook by heading downhill; the best views are always at the top of the mountain. In this message, Dr. Stanley teaches that we, like David writes in Psalm 18, were made for the mountains: the call to come higher, experience more, and grow deeper inspires us to keep climbing even when the way is steep and harsh. Experience renewed energy to keep heading upward—you'll find God beside you every step of the way, placing your feet in high places.

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap" (Gal. 6:7).  In this message, Dr. Stanley examines King David’s life, delivering a sobering lesson about the consequences of our behavior. Just as it did for David, the principle of sowing and reaping still bears out in our lives today. Since God's ultimate goal is that we be conformed to the image of His Son Jesus, He will use even the most dire consequences to mold us into His likeness. Take care what you sow, but also trust God to use everything—even your failures—to reap a harvest of righteousness.

When God presents a challenge, how do you respond? If by faith, to what level?   In this encouraging message, Dr. Stanley tells us that everyone has some form of faith, and that faith affects the way we live. A non-believer’s faith is self-directed, but a believer’s faith is God-directed. Dr. Stanley explains how we can progress from a level of little faith to one of great faith. As we make this journey, our Christian life will take on a stronger, more exciting purpose.
