Living Wisely or Foolishly - Part 2

November 28, 2017

In this message, Dr. Stanley explains the difference between godly and human wisdom. Godly wisdom is the capacity to see things from God’s viewpoint and respond according to the principles of Scripture. On the other hand, human wisdom is earthly, natural, and demonic—it has no place in the believer’s life.

The heart is an amazing part of God's creation. It is at the center of all that goes on in our bodies. Like our physical heart, the heart that the Bible talks about is the center of our emotion, our passions, and our attitudes. It affects every aspect of our lives.

Do you know what God is up to in your life? God is always up to something in the lives of His children. He is always active. In "Molded by the Master," we learn from the life of Jeremiah that we are all like lumps of clay in a potter's hand. God has the right to mold us and shape us--and even break us--all so that we can be a vessel able to be used by Him!

As Christians, we have so much for which to be thankful. But sometimes we lose our focus as we get sidetracked by life’s responsibilities, struggles, and challenges. Before we know it, our joy is gone, and we end up expressing a bitter, ungrateful spirit.

What's so amazing about grace? In "Sustaining Grace," Dr. Stanley explains that the grace of God not only takes care of our sin through the cross, but it takes care of our daily lives as well. Grace enables us to face life as it is with absolute confidence that God is watching over us, caring for us and enabling us in every circumstance of life.

The apostle Paul was someone who was very hostile to Christians before his conversion. He arrested, tortured and had people murdered. Yet the grace of God was still extended to him. Maybe you don't think that God can forgive you for your past. In "Grace on Display," Dr. Stanley uses the life of Paul to illustrate how God's grace is available to all, no matter what we have done.
