Clouds, harps, feathery angels—according to pop culture, that’s what you'll find in heaven. But what picture does God’s Word paint for us? In this message, Dr. Stanley clarifies who will be in heaven, what kind of relationships we will have there, and just what we will be doing for all eternity. While we may not know everything this side of glory, the Bible does reveal just enough to whet our appetite for more.

Most Christians expect to go to heaven when they die, and yet many know very little about the place Christ is preparing for us. In this message, Dr. Stanley explores the reasons why we should be excited about heaven, according to the Bible. It’s our home, and as children of an eternal Father, we have so much to look forward to.

God loved the people of the world enough to sacrifice His Son Jesus. He gave Him up to a hideous death on a cross in order to save all those who would believe from an eternity apart from Him. Jesus’ death was the ultimate, all-sufficient gift for an unworthy people from a perfect God. There is no greater love than this. It is up to us to embrace it.

In “Satan’s Last Fling,” Dr. Stanley shares with us John’s vision of Jesus giving authority to His angel to bind and imprison Satan in the bottomless pit for a thousand years. During this millennium, Christians will reign on earth with Jesus with unopposed authority. However, sin nature will be passed on to each generation born in the millennium and many will reject Christ. When Satan is released, he will gather up and lead these unbelievers to do final battle at Jerusalem. All will be totally exterminated and Satan will join the beast and false prophet in the lake of fire and brimstone forever. In this message, Dr. Stanley covers Revelation 20:1-10.

In “The Second Coming of Christ,” Dr. Stanley reveals John’s vision of the marriage between Christ and His bride, the church. This eternal union takes place in heaven after the judgment. The marriage supper of the Lamb represents the millennial kingdom of Christ, which will take place on earth following His return. When Christ comes to earth with His angels and believers, He comes to destroy Satan, the Antichrist, the false prophet, and the kings of the earth to establish a new heaven and earth. He is not coming as a gentle Savior but as a warrior, judge, king, and as Lord. This will be a time of justice and judgment. Jesus will simply speak the Word of God and the battle of Armageddon will be over. In this message, Dr. Stanley covers Revelation 19.

Scripture tells us that there will be a final judgment. But who will be judged? When will this take place? What will happen? In this teaching, Dr. Stanley shares what God’s Word tells us about the final judgment. Using selections from the books of Revelation and 1 and 2 Thessalonians, Dr. Stanley describes what non-believers can expect to face after a lifetime of rejecting Jesus’s gift of salvation.

“The World Under Judgment” explains the fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy and God’s wrath upon all wickedness on earth before He sets up His millennial kingdom. In this message, Dr. Stanley discusses the apocalyptic events of the seven bowl judgments. Here, seven angels pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath, reversing God’s physical creation of the world to complete the destruction of man’s habitat. These bowls include grievous sores, salt water and fresh water turning to blood, a scorching sun, thick darkness, and the drying of the Euphrates River—then the decimation of earth itself. In this message, Dr. Stanley covers chapter 16.

In “Victory of the Lamb and His Followers,” Dr. Stanley discusses John’s prophetic vision of God’s ultimate triumph through Christ the Lamb, over everything that was wicked and vile on earth. This will occur toward the end of the tribulation period when Christ’s 140,000 obedient followers will have been sent out to share the gospel that He is the Messiah. Jesus will send His angels to separate the godly from the wicked; all this in preparation for God’s impending judgment. In this message, Dr. Stanley covers chapter 14:1-20.

Did you know that as a believer, you’ve been set apart for a holy God, just as the priests once were in the Hebrew temple? God’s holiness is one of His most difficult attributes to grasp, because it can seem so foreign and so demanding. In this life, we’ll never attain the perfect purity of the Lord, but He does expect an attitude in our hearts that seeks it. And the closer we come in contact with Him, the more we’ll see the obstacles to purity in ourselves and long to remove them. In this message, Dr. Stanley explores the stunning holiness of our mighty God as described in Scripture, and inspires us to seek His presence and purify our lives. Don’t miss the incredible experience of intimacy with a holy God.

In “Believers at the Judgment,” Dr. Stanley recognizes the sense of fear and uncertainty we may have at our judgment day. He explains that we, as believers, may misunderstand its purpose, feel guilty about our past, or fear giving a full account of our life at the judgment seat of Christ. Dr. Stanley states that God’s ultimate purpose in the judgment is to bring glory to Himself. In return for those glorifying deeds we have committed on earth, He will determine to what degree our eternal rewards and privileges will further bestow glory and honor to Him in heaven. The purpose of the judgment is not where we spend eternity, but how.

In “The Return of Christ,” Dr. Stanley identifies three primary reasons for His coming back at the end of the tribulation period. The first reason is that He is going to judge the earth. The second is to deliver His elect—those who have responded to the invitation of Christ and have been saved during the tribulation. The third reason is to establish His earthly kingdom for His millennial reign. In this message, Dr. Stanley covers Matthew 24:29-31.
