An abundant life isn’t one defeated by constant struggles with sin or burdened with an impossible list of do’s and don’ts. Rather, it is a life where Jesus lives in us, enabling us to abide in Him and to walk victoriously and free. As we experience and reflect the Lord’s love, gentleness, and kindness, those compelling qualities overflow and bless others.

Recognizing our role in God’s plan as people who have been ransomed and redeemed with a great price impresses on us the truth that our own efforts will never be enough to save us. The gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is incredibly humbling. But the dearness of our Savior is our joy.

How far does God go to keep His promises? All the way to the cross ... and beyond. As believers we are now inheritors of those promises. As we study the ways of our Father and partner in covenant, we marvel at the vast evidence of His unending faithfulness, and learn to trust Him more.

Why is it that some people perceive the Christian life as an exciting journey and others see it as a burdensome, unfulfilling existence? Although there are many factors that contribute to how a person experiences their relationship with God, many times an inadequate view of Christ will prevent a person from enjoying the abundant life He offers.   In this message, Dr. Stanley explains what a privilege it is to have Christ as our mediator and advocate and how His role as our High Priest is meant to set us free so we can enjoy an intimate and fruitful relationship with God.

While you may have heard the Christmas story many times, it can sound new every year, and just as meaningful. It’s all about the most important gift in life––the person of Jesus Christ. A gift that grows even greater as we walk with Him more personally, more intimately, each and every day of the year.

In the very first chapter of the Bible we find God separating light from darkness. After that, we see a pattern throughout Scripture where He identifies darkness as evil, and associates light with good things such as holiness and truth. When Jesus came, He referred to Himself as “the Light of the world.” Then in the Sermon on the Mount, He called us to shine brightly as well.

Why is grace able to sustain us through trials and tribulations? Exploring Romans 5:12, Dr. Stanley explains the meaning behind the phrase, “this grace in which we stand.” Grace through suffering builds and transforms character, creates empathy, reaffirms God’s presence in our lives, and sets our hearts on Him.
