No matter how committed you are to Christ, your loyalty will be tested along the way. In Genesis 22, Abraham faced the most difficult test a father could face. Yet when God called to Abraham, he answered, “Here I am” (Gen. 22:1). Abraham understood that being committed to God means that God has final authority. Abraham’s story is a great example of how trials can strengthen us in our commitment to Him.
