Tim Kelley

I make a great mistake when I interpret my circumstances as relevant to God's thoughts about me. Our lives will often be marred with sometimes inexplicable suffering and circumstances. There is little good to find; God doesn't seem to care about His own plan! And even though I have done my best, maybe, to honor Him - it seems as though I am under His hand of chastisement.

Thinking with God
"Thinking with God" is a non published collection of messages that Tim Kelley, Grace Thoughts host, taught in a small and private setting. These CD's were never posted on the Website or made available to the general public until now. "Thinking with God" answers 2 distinct questions: What is God like and How does God Think? It is impossible for us, as believers, to think clearly in our Christian life without addressing these vital questions. (The audio quality is reflective of the small setting in which these were recorded.)   6 CD Set$25.00 Donation - includes shipping and handling

Herein lies a great principal, what we pursue will determine our quality of life. Jesus did not come to promise us a broad easy path of self pursuit that would lead to our ultimate happiness. He promised us a narrow way that would deposit our lives in limitless possibilities.

"A zealous man in religion is preeminently a man of one thing. It is not enough to say that he is earnest, strong, uncompromising, meticulous, wholehearted, fervent in spirit. He only sees one thing, he cares for one thing, he lives for one thing, he is swallowed up in one thing; and that one thing is to please God. Whether he lives, or whether he dies-- whether he has health, or whether he has sickness--whether he is rich, or whether he is poor--whether he pleases man, or whether he gives offense--whether he is thought wise, or whether he is thought foolish--whether he gets blame, or whether he gets praise--whether he gets honor or whether he gets shame--for all this the zealous man cares nothing at all. He burns for one thing, and that one thing is to please God and to advance God's glory." Ryle

The Gospel, the Gospel of Grace, the Finished Work of Christ, as far as I am concerned, all refer to the same thing. It is God's plan and power on display to address mans greatest need, a fractured relationship with God. "The Gospel is a call out of littleness, out of pettiness, out of insignificant things, to the breath and sweep of great thoughts and forces and to the wide horizon of limitless possibilities." (C.I. Scofield)

The meek are strong and courageous. The meek can look the worst enemy in the face with Grace and calmness. He is not protecting his self life, thus he can live with a spiritual reckless abandonment. He is not afraid to be wrong; he is not afraid of righteous confrontation. He stands on truth and is not ashamed of his beliefs.

"Meekness is the Inward Grace of the soul, calmness towards God in particular. It is the acceptance of Gods dealings with us considering them as good, in that they enhance the closeness of our relationship with Him…. This meekness does not blame God for the persecutions and evil doings of men."(Zodhiates)

When God created the human race He did it perfectly. Physically we knew no death, sickness or pain. What we forget however is that we were also psychologically perfect - balanced, with values uncorrupted, right thought patterns; stress and anxiety were nonexistent. The whole human race now needs psychiatric help. Though many may seem self reliant and stable, without God, the best we can do is build strong defense mechanisms around strongholds to reduce fear and vulnerability.

About Tim Kelley

Tim Kelley, at the age of 18, surrendered his life and heart to Jesus Christ. After receiving his degree in Biblical Studies, he relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida. In July of 1989 he became the senior pastor of Grace Connection Church and launched a local radio broadcast called “Grace Thoughts”, a daily radio program broadcast in the Tampa Bay region http://wtis1110.com/ and is now heard at www.oneplace.com. Pastor Kelley is now in his 33th year in public ministry here in the Tampa Bay area. He is an avid sports fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and the Boston Celtics. As you may have guessed, our pastor grew up in New England in the Plymouth Mass. area. Pastor Kelley’s two greatest and heartfelt passions are teaching and preaching a clear gospel of God’s grace and its impact in our daily lives, as well as his love and compassion for people (even if they are not New England Fans).  Pastor Kelley has a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies and is currently pursuing a second Masters in Counseling, graduating in May 2013.  He is happily married to his beautiful wife of 27 years, Peggy. They have one child at home, Sadie Lynne.  Their beautiful daughter Hannah Grace, in February 2012, went home to be with the Lord, due to a firearm mishap after a church service. Pastor Kelley and Peggy have started the Hannah Grace Foundation in memory of their daughter, which raises funds for the housing, care and education of children and young adults, here locally in the Tampa Bay region, throughout America as well as the third world.
