Why We're Not Looking to Revive "Traditional Families"

The Heart of Her Husband Safely Trusts in Her
Only 22% of American families constitute "traditional households," down from almost 50% in the 1970's (where the father works and everybody else sits at home eating bonbons and watching soap operas). But we're not looking to revive "traditional households!" Kevin Swanson reads Proverbs 31, and then gives the New Revised Version of the same passage so as to contrast two rather distinct visions. Then, he interviews a family doing their best to revive the Biblical "Oikonomia," where the heart of a husband safely resides with his wife. The economic household vision represented in biblical revelation has almost disappeared, and is not even included in charts that define household economies today. But families like that constituted by Scott and Andie Davidson are bringing it back!
