The murder of 14-year-old Nicole Lovell has raised the attention of a nation, for several reasons. All involved have a Christian background. The accused 19 year old Virginia Tech student is a Lutheran, and she was active in teaching a Church Camp. The accused 18 year old Virginia Tech student was 9 years in a school called Riverside Christian School in Washington State, where he was an all-state athlete. The victim 14 years old was active at her Auburn Baptist Church in hometown, Virginia. Why do "good" kids to bad things? We harken back to the Leopold-Loeb trial, and discuss both nature and nurture. Does bad nurture excuse the works done by a bad and corrupt nature? We discuss the influences of the world and the devil. These are not to be ignored, They help to explain the wicked acts committed, that you read on the front page of the newspaper. But the real problem . . . is the heart.
