America makes up 25% of the prison population in the world, while containing only 5% of the world population. So, what gives? Lew Rockwell explains that the tyranny is expanding to the arrests of little old ladies who forget to water their lawns and little ten year old boys who “fart” in class.
Kevin Swanson compares this to God’s civil laws that focus attention towards the gross offenders vs. petty crimes. Also, God’s laws are particularly concerned about victim’s rights, while these big tyrannies are all concerned about remuneration to the state and incarcerating as many people as possible in slave-holding prisons.
