We like John Piper a lot, but he’s not batting 1000 on this one. He’s asking some important questions however. Would Jesus shoot an intruder? What would Jesus carry? Kevin Swanson makes some important and careful distinctions here. The case of the missionary to the New Hebrides in 1870 is much different than the homeowner in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2015, for instance.
