After 18 years of Sunday school, youth group, and even Christian school, many Christian children still graduate from high school thoroughly indoctrinated in a humanist worldview, later becoming big humanists in college. And then they just walk away from the faith. In this interview that Kevin Swanson conducted with World Magazine founder Joel Belz, we look at several different problems with Christian education 50 years into this new movement. Joel is one of the most experienced voices on this issue of Christian education in the country. What makes Christian education so ineffective, and what can we do to bolster it?

The West is under God's judgment because they have increasingly broken more of God's laws in the most egregious possible ways. But what about colonialism? Were there sins committed by the colonial governments as well? The metric by which to determine right and wrong still must be the law of God. Free speech has never been more accessible . . . or more at risk. The United States has taken concerted steps towards police-state type activities . . . especially in relation to the treatment of conservatives and Christians. There is a great irony here—that these nations that once brought Christianity into India and Muslim Sudan . . . in the 18th and 19th centuries . . . are now led by Hindus and Muslims. We analyze the impetus behind this—pluralism and a spite for a Christian heritage. But ultimately, it is the humbling of the West, and the judgment of God upon a radically immoral people. Big government has been let loose upon America . . . but now, Bidenomics has introduced flagrantly irresponsible government void of all restraint. Federal deficits are completely out of control now.
