Eve: Not Perfect, but Promised
Eve, the first mother of all, was by no means perfect. Proving that if God can redeem her sin and still use it for good, then He can do the same with us. Even when you make bad choices, God still has a plan and purpose for your life!
There are currently around 3.9 billion females living on planet Earth—With that in mind, it’s hard to imagine if that number was a just ONE! What would it be like to be the first woman and mother to ever live on this Earth? Well, she definitely wasn’t perfect but she was given a great promise….let’s find out all about her today…
Show Notes:
2 Things to Learn from Eve:
First: Remember, even though Eve was far from perfect, God still used her…
If He can take Eve’s mistakes and redeem them with a promise, then He can FOR SURE take my mistakes and your mistakes…and use what Satan means for evil and turn them for good to ultimately bring Him all the glory!
1 Corinthians 2:9 promises that “no eye has see, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
No, we never knew life in a perfect garden like Eve, but we do have the promise of a perfect heaven to hold to!
Remember: There is more to life than this world has to offer and even when you make a bad choice and sin, God still has a plan and purpose for your life and for my life!
Second: This is a promise that you don’t need to keep to yourself! Adam and Eve is such a relatable story to share with your kids about choices and consequences that come from sin.
It’s always my go story when I have to discipline my boys—I tell them how we always have a choice. And sometimes if we choose a bad choice (sin) then there are consequences, just like there were for Adam and Eve. But even when we mess up, God still loves them and so do I—and God always has a plan and purpose for our lives!
This is HUGE for your kids to realize, So find a way to share this promise with them this week…
