The Only Solution Against Anxiety Part 2

February 9, 2016
Good news are always welcome, it cheers the spirit. Bad news can easily blur people’s perception of things to come, and fear takes over. Situations can change very rapidly that cause people to lose their bearings. An example of this is that even people’s savings can be blown away by government decree. Insecurity and poverty that people have no control over scare people. The insecurities of our times are through the roof. What are we to do?

The Financial worries are the main concern for Americans that face monumental challenges. Money is tied to the most important parts of our living: health, education, monthly bills, rent or mortgage, standard of living, and retirement. Other pressing concerns are: mistrust of government, terrorism, illegal immigration, drugs, violence, crime, the collapse of society, world war 3 and much more. Fear is gripping America; there are fears about anything and everything. The End Times theology/doctrine machine is not making things any better. It is no small matter; most people live overwhelmed and anxious or fearful about the future.

“God has placed the future of the nation in our hands.” This is a fact that only biblical Christians should understand. This is how human history began with Adam and Eve, Jesus Christ sealed it and it will culminate when His people apply God’s knowledge in all the earth. "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)

"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual - or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country." --Samuel Adams

Church leaders must effectively communicate to the believers the full counsel of God’s Word in relation to political engagement. Merely mentioning isolated verses or passages of the Bible superficially should be avoided because Christians need thorough understanding in this matter. Some Christians think we should not care about political or cultural involvement to bring change based upon the biblical worldview, but I ask you, if we don’t, then who?

Politics, like air, are part of our lives. Every election period demands that we elect people into office at all levels that will inevitably impact our lives and future generations. We must not lose sight of our cultural reality; every elected official is going to impact society for better or for worse. Every election cycle is decided by the citizens, it is more than obvious upon whom the responsibility falls when it comes to the condition of the nation.

The Word of God is reality and it lives in the lives of His new people as they create the new culture and institutions. The world owes much to Christianity as it grew since the first century B.C. Christians created orphanages, programs to aid people in need; they opened schools and universities, developed the arts; composed great music like that of Bach or Handel, great works of literature, and the fathers of science flourished because of the impact of the Reformation, a biblical economic system was developed, and new forms of civil government. In the 17th century, a new movement of biblical Christians started in the New World, and thus the United States of America was born. We have a wonderful opportunity to say to future generations, "We were here."

America has easily embraced a mirage because she has forgotten the past. Abraham Lincoln said "...we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined in the deceitfulness of our hearts that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace – too proud to pray to the God that made us."

The only one with the authority to assess if a culture is a mirage or a reality is God by His Word, which is very thorough and never holds back; it always goes deep in its confrontation of sin. Sin is seen through thoughts, feelings, speech and actions. We must understand and communicate God’s displeasure of a culture in decadence.

Man looks at the outward mirage but God looks at the condition of the heart where the realities of man’s motives reside. If they are unacceptable they will lead to a careless life. Jesus was very clear about the importance of paying attention to God’s moral law and His prophets. The Moral law is the standard for God’s people throughout generations and they are not going away. Those who say differently are leading people into a mirage and away from God’s reality.

What is a mirage? It is an optical illusion caused by atmospheric conditions, especially the appearance of a sheet of water in a desert or on a hot road caused by the refraction of light from the sky by heated air. It does not exist as people perceive it. It is not a mirage but reality to know the difference between right from wrong.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
