The Myth of Not legislating Morality

Most likely, you have heard the phrase that we cannot legislate morality. The motive behind that statement is to silence the Christians who oppose immoral behavior. Those who hate biblical principles scream at the top of their lungs that we should not impose our morality on others. Does that mean that politics are immune from immorality? Does it mean that when we vote we must bypass the terrible effects of immorality and simply trust the laws passed by the executive powers, Congress, the Supreme Court, and other state laws? Can Christians separate their conscience from their vote in every day life? Even though many Christians do so, it is a reproach to the moral character of God.
