One of the most volatile policy issues of our times relates to a fundamental disagreement as to how a nation should approach entitlements. Entitlement programs now devour the majority of the U.S. federal government’s budget. What you know too is that that the nation is now nearly $20 trillion dollars in debt and growing rapidly at an uncontrollable rate.
What do the Scriptures have to say about such allocative decisions and policy? In a pre-political sense, how can the Bible be used to inform the Public Servant in this regard? Does God speak to this issue? I believe the answer is a resounding "Yes!"

America's entitlement program policies are now hugely coming to roost on the doorsteps of the U.S. Treasury. Given this crisis, what wisdom can we glean from God's Word that could aid us in solving the problem? May God use this Bible study in that regard.

How many times have you heard someone respond to your biblically based reason with, "Well that's a matter of your own interpretation." How do you respond when someone tries to neutralize your authoritative use of the Bible? How should you respond? Perhaps, even, you've given up using the Bible authoritatively because of this? This study will focus on the first period. May the Holy Spirit bless your understanding of this critically important subject — how God gave us His Book.

This week let us attempt to get a better grip and understanding of the Old Testament Book of Proverbs. In this study we will gain an understanding of the various kinds of formal structure that God has incorporated in this book; such insights will greatly aid your comprehension.
God penned this book through His servant Solomon, the wisest man of his day (cf. 1 Kings 3:28) and of all time (1 Kings 3:12).
Most interestingly for those who hold governmental office, a king wrote it to his son who would be king. Accordingly, it has great, direct application to those whom God has called to represent Him in the Capital Community; it is a must study for anyone who seeks to lead! What follows will greatly aid you in wise governmental leadership.
