Is the Whole World Forgiven?

December 24, 2018

There are half a dozen passages that some utilize to claim that the whole world is fully reconciled, forgiven, or even saved.

Jeff called in to our radio program to ask about these passages. In this short video clip, I share my thoughts on the world passages and what they really mean in context.

I hope this is clarifying as you think about what the world has in Adam and what we have in Christ.

Gary is a newer believer who called in to our radio program from New York. Gary recently found himself at a party where some unbelieving friends were asking, “Are there any real benefits to being a Christian right here and now, or is it just about enjoying heaven after death?” Gary and his Christian friends didn’t know how to respond to the unbelievers’ question at the time. So, is being a Christian only about life after death or are there real, tangible benefits to everyday life right now? In this short radio clip, I share my thoughts on this important question. I discuss why the presence and comfort and counsel of Christ in you makes the “wow” right now!

Shelby called in to our radio program with a few things on his mind: How were people in the Old Testament saved?Isn’t it unfair that God wiped out those of Noah’s generation?Isn’t it unfair that so many perish today? In this short video clip, I address Shelby’s concerns and talk about the “fairness” of God.

“For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins…” (Hebrews 10:26) There’s no sacrifice left? What does this even mean? Can we out-sin the grace of God and reach the point where the blood of Christ runs out on us? Edgar in North Carolina called in to our radio program to ask about this very challenging passage, Hebrews 10:26. Edgar was taught that this verse is designed to motivate Christians or “hit them on the head” so they get in line out of fear of God’s judgment. In this short video clip, I address Edgar’s question and discuss the true and liberating meaning of Hebrews 10:26.
