Combine that with the readiness to help people in need, and we see the Body of Christ. Whether in our homes or out in the world, we show Jesus to others when we are gracious, generous, and genuine.

These days, humility seems to be almost a forgotten word. Amid America’s prosperity has emerged prideful worldliness, set on dragging even the most devout Christians down with it.

When we are feeling a lack of acceptance, we try to find acceptance in any way possible. As believers, we need to remember that our worth, value, and acceptance are in Jesus. Before the beginning of time, the Father has loved us and chosen us to be adopted as His children through Jesus.

We cannot effectively walk forward while looking back. We cannot proceed ahead, when peering back to the past. We cannot easily win the prize for which God called us after getting slammed by a pole of defeat. Do not look back.
