When we’re faced with a closed door, it might be beneficial for us to consider both Adam and Eve’s story, and maybe even cats, too, because God sometimes reveals truth to us through them.
God knows all things. He knows our fears. He knows our doubts and the mind-numbing reel of thoughts that continue on a loop as we stand in line at security. The Bible promises that with Jesus, we can fight against fear and put our trust in Him.
God has given you the Holy Spirit to help you, to heal you, to change your heart. Let’s ask Him to give us the strength to forgive and pray for those who have hurt us so that we can be free and honor God and show compassion toward our brothers and sisters in Christ, extending mercy because have been given mercy ourselves.
Sometimes, we just don’t get the answers we seek. But please understand that God has not abandoned you. Talk to him from your sick bed. Talk to him if you are visiting an inpatient. Keep the communication channels open!

Dear friends, it is a fight for the devotion of our minds. We either stay with God and demolish demonic strategies being set up against us, or we fall into fear, worry, and anxiety that lead us away from God.

The only hope we ever have of a pure heart is by the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Today, as we pray, let’s reflect on the work of God’s Spirit in us. May we come to God repentant like David and surrender to His softening of our hearts.
